“I had such a great experience here. I came in concerned with a pair of running shoes I recently purchased elsewhere. I thought maybe I needed a different pair for my foot. David helped me out in more ways than one! He took a scan of my stride on the computer and told me I’m most likely in a great pair for my feet but we could try a couple different options that may work to see what differences I felt. After trying a couple others with just minor differences in turns out I’m in a great pair. He gave me some great knowledge that will help me with my runs. Next time I need anything running/walking related I’ll be in to Idaho Running Co. They absolutely have my business! Thank you so much!”
“I bought a bike from Al’s recently at a great price and they did all the custom adjustments for my new bike for free!I took my bike in months later with gear clicking issues and a ruined seat from a crash and Domo also took care of my bike then as well!Highly recommend Al's sporting goods for any of your outdoor Idahoian gear needs! “Just stopped in to pick up a new pair of shoes - Liam was super helpful as I wasn’t sure which brand or style I wanted to try (noticed a difference in the brand I had been using so I wanted to branch out). Liam was super patient, kind and helped me try on numerous different styles - he even helped me find different colors available we could order in of the style I decided on. “I love McU Sports for a few reasons: 1. They have been willing for years to help out various efforts to make sports equipment available to an underpriveleged elementary school that I work with in the Boise area. Whether donations, wholesale prices, or sponsorships there have been at least a dozen times over the last few years that McU has gone above and beyond for this school! 2. I get a lot of custom jerseys made for various sports teams I coach. The team at McU's has been amazing. The jerseys are always very high quality and a few times when I cut the timeline a little bit close they have done everything they could to make sure the jerseys were finished in time. 3. My wife loves Vuori almost as much as she loves me and they're just about the only place in town that carries their clothing :)”
“I signed up for a beginner backcountry avalanche course a few days before it started. I was unprepared, and I luckily found Eco Lounge. The entire staff was welcoming. They accommodated for my procrastination by fitting new skins and waxing/sharpening my skis same-day. Definitely recommend and we should all buy local.”
“Huge thanks to Sean and the team at Ridgeline Bike and Ski! They got my bike ready for a big trip on the Hiawatha trail, and I had zero issues, no flats, all thanks to their expert help. “I went in to get 2 t shirts printed up with my deceased husband's picture on it. I was more than thrilled with the work they did on it. They look amazing. And the funny thing about it all was that they knew my late husband. I would highly recommend them to anyone.”
“The man who I got to meet with at the New Balance store was really nice to me and my wife and he took the time to listen to me talk about how my right foot has a tendency to get pretty swollen during the hot summer months and regardless of what I do to combat the swelling it changes very little with how swollen it gets. He understood my need for a new shoe that had plenty of extra room in the toe box to accommodate my foot. He set about looking at my foot and then said that he thought that they had a shoe that was a 6E width and went to look for it. He came back with two different shoes that we tried on my foot to see which one actually had the larger toe box. There was only the one shoe that fit my foot and felt comfortable enough for me to feel like I could wear the shoe for a longer period of time and still be comfortable with out binding or pinching the instep of my foot. Luckily the shoe he had was the correct size and actually did have a large toe box that up to then I was not able to find a shoe that fit me that wasn’t two or three sizes too large for my foot and yet had the room I needed. I was also lucky in the sense that this particular shoe was the ONLY ONE THEY HAD IN THE STORE! He said that that model was an older version that was not available anymore so even if I’d needed a different size they would not have been able to order it since Now Balance had discontinued the model!! So I guess it was providence that brought me to this store on that day to meet the sales person who knew what they had in stock and would fit me perfectly. He also was able to give me a military discount price for the shoe and since it was a close out item he was willing to give me a little bit more of a discount!! My wife and I left the store very much satisfied with the price and the shoe. We both commented that the man who helped us was a very knowledgeable person who knew the product, listened to my concern and condition of my foot and truly understood my needs and with his knowledge base of not only the product line but also knew what they had available to satisfy the requirements of my foot and the price range I had to work with. I just wish now that I was able to recall the man’s name so I could add it to this post!! With a little bit of research and looking at the employees that work there someone might find out who he was and maybe post his name to my comment section.

After a rubber tube flying off and an ongoing flat tire issue, Micah took the time out of his day to diagnose the issue which ended up being a pinched flat caused by a wrong sized valve stem. “I’ve been a customer of McU Sports for many years now. This week I decided it was time to get some new skis and bindings. I thought my old boots were fine since they were “comfortable”. At their suggestion, I decided to get my feet measured and try on some new boots. Turns out I didn’t know what comfortable or good was until I bought some new custom fitted boots. I just went skiing for the first time with my new gear. Goodness!! I should have upgraded a long time ago. Skiing was glorious and I can’t wait for the fun years to come! Thanks to Tim for all of his help over the years and helping me pull the trigger on these new skis! Glad that Chuck was there to elevate my ski equipment IQ so I could make the obvious right decision to get into the right gear for me. Thanks guys!!”
