This pharmacy has a management problem. The issue isn't the technicians or pharmacists actually filling prescriptions. They're stuck within a terrible process, which also means us customers get stuck in a terrible process.Don't blame the ground level workers for all the problems this pharmacy has. The problem, like most things related to Albertson's, is a failure of management.

We have gone to the Sav-on at 16th & State for years. The staff is absolutely amazing. I appreciate their professionalism and pleasantness. I highly recommend this pharmacy branch.

Honestly, I can not understand why there are so many one-star reviews here. I have been coming here for almost a year, and everyone has been pleasant with me every time. The only complaint I can think of is that sometimes the line can get long, but at least they give you water and cookies free while you wait! Think about it, the reason the line is long is because they do a great job here, and it is a popular location!Probably, the people complaining here do not know how to smile themselves and take their grief out on others. Hey, remember everyone is human and deserves respect. All the staff that I have interacted with have been pleasant and professional. I'm slowly trying to learn all of their names, but I can highly recommend working with Keyra, Colleen, Brittney, Malia, Ryan, and Sara. All of them have always offered me a bright smile, a friendly hello, and quick service.

Please reflect on your poor reviews, management of Sav-on Pharmacy. A slew of rude, inept people work here.I called yesterday and asked someone to prepare my medication for pick-up today, and they agreed. When I arrived, I waited on line for 20 minutes. Once at the counter the medication was not ready, so they told me to take a seat for a half hour to which I said, "okay." After a half hour I went to the counter and was told that it was not ready and it was no longer available in the strength I required and that my insurance would not cover it anyway. I expressed that I had been waiting a long time and had called in advance to see if it was still available, to which a tech replied, "we may have run out." Doubtful. Sounds more like no one actually checked to see if it was available when I called. Another tech said, "If it makes you feel any better, people have waited a lot longer than you." I replied, "no that doesn't help." Of course that doesn't help, you rude incompetent person, and you know it.Next I was told my insurance required prior auth. I've been taking this medication for YEARS, and my insurance requires prior authorization? Kind of weird, but I said, "no problem, take my debit card," to which they replied.... "No, we still need the prior auth." YOU need prior auth??! What part of take my debit card do you not understand? Do you not know how to work your computer? What's the real issue here? They called my doctor, and what do you know? I had my medication minutes later, no prior authorization needed. Finally, the cashier/ pharmacy technician who rang me up had the audacity to give me the stink eye. I was livid. The New Yorker in me was ready to say, "Do your job, lady, or I'll drag you over that counter," but I refrained. Please avoid this place. They have no regard for your time and no regard for you as a consumer.Sav-on management, try to grasp that the issue is not with everyone else. Your staff is disorganized, incompetent, and unprofessional to say the least.

I give one star because of the employee her name Brittney , she is very Rude , poisoned , even if she smile on your face , her smile is poisonous , I need to ask if she hate her job in the pharmacy and hate all the people and only love her self why she still in this job , she is not friendly at all , and she is big liar , she tell you wait for your medication to harm you only because there is no medication you will wait for it , even she did not make order for your medicine to let them make it ready for you , I hope she can go to Training to know how to contact and treat with people ,

I am in from out of town and needed a prescription filled. My dad is a physician (internist and endocrinologist) out of town and called in a non-controlled substance and Sarah the pharmacist refused to fill the prescription because of my relationship to the doctor and the medicine being out of "scope". It is not out of scope and my dad offered to provide her with any of his information. My dad said this is interference with patient care. Obviously I agree too.

Pharmacy policies are a disaster.Don't bother making an appointment online to schedule a vaccine.I made an appointment online, when I got here shortly before my scheduled time, I had to get in line with walk-ins, about 2/3 of the info I filled out online populated to their site, so had to redo the paperwork. Once that was completed I was told to have a seat. I waited for over 1/2 hour. At that time I went back to counter and asked what the purpose of making an appointment was. At that time I was given excused by a snarkey, unprofessional blonde. Not helpful, just defending poor service. Finally when called to receive vaccine, the tech was pleasant and thorough. However the room was very dated, unkept and dirty, not a place I will ever return to. Be warned!Rite-Aid across the street is no better on service, but at least it's clean.

We have been treated very well at this pharmacy. Our lives changed for better after we switched to Sav-on Pharmacy on 16th and State after some frustrating interactions with the Rite-Aid pharmacy across the street. The staff here are helpful, efficient, and they have a good text messaging system for notification of meds being filled, and you can almost always reach a pharmacist by phone with questions within their business hours. Definitely recommend.

I had my doctor's office call a prescription for a vital medication to the 3614 W State St, Boise, ID Sav-On Pharmacy located in the Albertsons store. I wanted to use a RX Saver coupon because of the high retail cost of this medication. The coupon required that the medication include the word "modified" in the prescription request. When I arrived at the pharmacy to pay and pick up the prescription, I was told I could not use the coupon because the word "modified" was not requested with the medication name. I was shown a copy of the request from my doctor's office, and I noticed it did indeed include the word "modified" but it appeared in a "comment section" below, just not next to the medication name. When I pointed this out to the pharmacy tech, the tech called over one of the pharmacists. The pharmacist's whole body language and facial expression (at least what I could see above her mask) communicated to me a defensive posture and a lack of caring about my situation. It was clear to me the pharmacist felt the issue was my problem, not hers. If this pharmacy cared enough to provide good customer service, the pharmacist would have offered to call my doctor's office to correct the wording of the prescription request, but instead I had to ask the pharmacist to make the call. I understand the pharmacy needs to have prescription requests worded in a specific way, but it was the attitude of the pharmacist and tech that disappointed me. A little more emphasis from them on "what can we do to make this right" instead of "we can't do this--go away" would have made the experience with this Sav-On pharmacy be a lot more positive. I won't be back.
