Do not take your jewelry here! They will damage your jewelry and then refuse to fix it. I came in to have two rings quoted, 1 for repair and 1 to have the stones placed in another setting. These rings are very special to us, one is the promise ring I gave my fiancé 12 years ago and the other is her engagement ring. I spoke with Barbara, I explained to her that the engagement ring had a small diamond on the side missing. She asked me multiple times where I got the ring and the age of the ring. I was a little uncomfortable to admit I had bought it from a pawn shop, so I didn't know the answers...I know, probably not the best place, but my fiancé loves the ring and had no complaints, but thanks for making me feel like a bum Barbara.Barbara explained they needed to hold the rings for a few days to get an official quote. I thought this was odd, I had been to a few places that same day and received quotes without holding onto the rings. A few days pass and I didn't receive a call so I thought to call in and check. I spoke with Barbara again, she explained that she had some personal problems that were taking up time in her life and she didn't have the quote yet. I explained I just needed the rings back my fiancé was uncomfortable without them for this long and maybe she could send me a quote later. She put together a number very quickly that was 3 times over the other quotes I had received. I told her I wasn't interested and that I would be by to pick up the rings. She explained that while they were cleaning one of the rings a very small diamond fell out. This was the exact reason I was having the ring quoted and had explained that to her. Okay, no problem accidents happen, thinking of course they would fix it, why would I be burdened by their mistake. I didn't ask for the ring to be cleaned so of course I would not have to pay to have it repaired. We had the ring cleaned at our local Fred Meyers, they had the same issue happen and fixed the ring at no cost to us, so this is what I expected from a much higher end jewelry store . The cleaning wasn't something I experienced with the other quotes so I found it odd they had cleaned them without my permission in the first place. I go down to pick up my rings, I receive two bags, 1 with a ring and the other with a ring and a small piece of paper containing a diamond. What am I supposed to do with this? I can't take it back to my fiancé like this, I wouldn't survive. Barbara wasn't available so I told them I would like to leave the ring until it has been repaired to the condition I left it in. This was on a Friday, so of course I would have to wait until Tuesday when they are back open. Tuesday comes, this is now over a week and my fiancé was hesitant on giving the rings for a day! I get a call from Robert. He tells me the ring has a design flaw and the diamond was going to fall out anyway! Well, no duh, that's why I brought it to have it quoted. I didn't expect it to be further damaged, I was trying to stop the damages. We have a heated conversation because I feel they should fix the diamond and apologize for damaging it and performing tasks I didn't ask for. He is now refusing to fix the ring, even though I never asked to have it cleaned, but because I'm being unreasonable after he provided the same sob story about a their personal life. I now have to tell my fiancé, which puts me in dog house, and I have to find someone else to repair it. My fiancé will have to go another week or so without her ring all because this business is having personal problems? I understand things happens and makes life difficult, but why are you taking that out on your customers? I think this could have been avoided by simply repairing the ring without me having to ask and argue. This feel like a very bad business to work with and would never recommend them to anyone.

I've been shopping at this store since 2013 and R. Grey Gallery is the best jewelry store in downtown and the Boise, Idaho area. After visiting all of the stores in the Boise area, I realized that finding a good jewelry store was not an easy task in Boise, so I am glad that I found this hidden gem. Their staff is super helpful, and I always leave this place with a smile on my face. I have purchased more than 10 different pieces of jewelry from this store already and have even custom made over 5 pieces as well. It is a must see jewelry store! R.

When we first moved to Boise in 2014 I would walk by and window shop. I always admired their glass art and jewelry on display. Quickly this became my go to spot for gifts for my family and friends. My husband has had multiple custom jewelry pieces made and has also bought jewelry from different artists. The staff is very knowledgeable about all of the items in the store. Unique items for your home and jewelry to please everyone’s tastes. It is a must visit and treat yourself boutique!

My husband and I were looking for a wedding ring, for me, without a lot of success. I don't care for traditional wedding ring styles and so many jewelry stores we went to seemed to be more of the 'same'. My husband found this store and it was hard to pull yourself away from one display case to the next. There are so many unique and beautiful pieces of jewelry & art to look at. We ended up picking a ring out of the Real Steel collection, the Owner's personal work. Barbara & her staff put a lot of genuine effort into helping us find exactly the right ring, stone, and size. The final ring is a beautiful representation of our commitment and it has a lot of meaning to us. I highly recommend this store and their staff. Thank you!

Encouraged to buy a set of very expensive earrings along with a necklace that my wife did not like and refused to take a return the following day. Wow! A no return policy was never explained and would have been appreciated at that price.

A lot of beautiful and interesting jewelry and art pieces here. They carry many different artists in the art and jewelry category as well as make their own jewelry. They always have great gift ideas. Every time we are in Boise we stop in and find something new.

Our most recent interaction made us feel like they were more concerned with being right than taking care of us. My wife is heartbroken because their jewelry had special meaning for us.

Gorgeous shop full of artisan-made glass, wood work, jewelry, pottery, ceramics, felted wool purses, and much more. They represent artists from near and far, and also do custom jewelry work. It is so fun to shop here for unique, high quality gifts! On my last visit I purchased two lovely wood boxes with inscriptions that are perfect for wedding gifts.
