The cashier made me feel uncomfortable. We got a used snowboard for my son, the employee who helped us was wonderful, however, the snowboard had two left foot holder pieces on it. They changed it for white color ones. I didn’t like the color and made a comment to the cashier. His comment back to me was rude. This is the type of employee that will ruin a store reputation! I won’t go again!

Don't buy sleds here. We came in and purchased a saucer sled and after 20 minutes of use at home it shattered. We went to return it an hour after purchase and we were informed "sleds break" and that they aren't doing sled returns anymore. We werent even able to get store credit. Beyond disappointing.

Needed to figure out best way to transport my MTB across the country. Collin helped me pivot from the lame carrier that I had, to a tray rack solution. He spent nearly an hour with me making sure I had a secure transportation solution ready for my 2000 mile trip the next day. I'm 1000 miles in and my bike has been riding safe and smooth. Outstanding service--Thanks PIAS & especially Collin!

Had a cruiser bike that hadn't seen daylight in about 10 years and a friend recommended the shop here at Play It Again East Boise to get it fixed up for my boyfriend's birthday. I honestly didn't even know they had an in-house bike shop! They took amazing care of the cruiser and did an excellent tune-up on my Trek as well. Clear communication and quick service. Thank you to Aaron and team!(Also, always a great stop for some used tennis balls or a football for our pup to demolish!)

We buy all of our outdoor recreation toys here. The service is always top notch. We recently purchased an e-bike from them. We thought we knew what we wanted, but once we went in, and they asked us questions on where we will ride, they pointed us in a different direction. We couldn’t be more satisfied with their help and our decision. We will be back soon!!

Fun store for affordable sports equipment, and their service shop is awesome. I've had skis tuned and a bike fixed with great results and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend!

This is such a great store to have in SE Boise. We purchased a used bike for one of my kids here, and then I came back to get a tune up for a cargo bike that I had just bought off a friend. I received top-notch service and the price couldn't be beat for a tune up. It was significantly less expensive than other places around town, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I wanted to get my bike back in time for a father's day family ride, so when I called to ask the status, they bumped it up and got it to us even faster. There is a great selection of new and used items in the store and everybody is really friendly there. I highly recommend checking this place out for a new bike or other sporting equipment!

Hands down this is the best sports store in Idaho! They have the BEST selection of ski and snowboards gear. They have great prices on watersports gear, golf, and bikes. You will not be disappointed with your purchase and I almost guarantee you will save money and have a pleasant experience. I cant say enough good things about this store and their staff.

Nick in the bike shop is a very friendly individual and helped me get all of my questions answered. Everyone else in the shop was very polite and helpful. Would recommend going here if you want to get 5-star service.

Never again. I've sold several items at the new East Boise Play it Again store since they opened earlier this year. I expect to get less than if I was making a private sale. Much less. But I do expect employee competence, respect, and professionalism. So far, the employees there have showed me just that. Today was the last visit I will make either to buy or sell at the East Boise store. I believe the employee who created my offer (tall blonde guy) was formerly at the Fairview store, which alienated me for different reasons a few years back (employee professionalism). That's how i remembered him, and why I considered leaving when i saw him. He suggested I look around the store while he looked over my equipment. I had a new Helly Hanson gym bag (current retail $75), an unused Rossignol backcountry ski pack (current retail $180), and an older used Wilderness Experience backpack (price unknown). I also had a used softball which, I was told by an employee before the store officially opened, would fetch $1 each. That employee even saw this same softball. The blonde guy was away from the desk, and another employee told me about my offer of $15.50--$5 each for the backpacks and gym bag, and 50 cents for the softball. When he told me the offer was 15.50, I asked "for which bag?" I could tell he was reticent to tell me it was for all four items together. The blonde employee clearly did not do his job by simply counting the number of items and stiffing me as if I was desperate for a measly amount of cash. To not differentiate between three very different pieces of equipment, and then to even offer 50 cents less for the softball was more than insulting. It was unsatisfactory work. I strongly encourage the franchise owners to support the employees who have been there, and to not employ that blonde guy I worked with today, even as a temporary. He is a disaster. In the meantime, I am heading off to an independently owned shop that pays fairly for used equipment. It's not located as conveniently as this East Boise store, but being treated respectfully and fairly is worth far, far more than a location.

This is the worst managed Play it Again I've ever visited. There are children working there....working is a relative term. They are standing there playing with equipment when you walk in. They wont bother to help you find anything or barely acknoledge you. When checking out they dont know what is on sale, what any of the signs say, they just give you d*** looks and never leave their stool. If you want to see an adult daycare spend your money here. If not go to a real business.

Exceeded my already high expectations on recent visit for 3 day ski rental. The patience, product knowledge, and quality of equipment exceeds anything I have experienced at the other sporting goods operators in Boise, and those are pretty good too!
