Every effort was made to keep us informed of our move and our timeline. Everything delivered safely.

They promised that they would pick and pack my household within a three day window but that I would be provided 24 hours notice. They showed up for packing and loading on day 2 at 10:am with no notice and finished at 11:50pm.The driver in charge did a quick visual survey of my furniture and claimed that there was an additional 2,000 pounds and that I would have to pay for it now or they would not pack/load. What was i supposed to do? Contact another company? They knew they had me over a barrell. To convince me, he promised to provide documentation of the total weight and that I would see that he was correct. The company has promised to provide the information 3 times but has failed to provide it to me.My furniture was significantly damaged during the move. After the unloading was complete, I asked the driver to document the damage that was visible on the furniture. He told me that it was not necessary to go to each damaged item and then instructed me to write on the contract "several items damaged during the move and I will provide pictures". Now the company will not honor my claim because I didn't include a line by line narrative of the damage. That does not seem fair. Their company representative instructed me on how to complete their form. They have taken several months to finally offer me anything in compensation and low balled me. When I protest, I am told by the agent that she will talk to the manager. After several attempts to speak with her again, I was told "I am just completing your final offer" and given a verbal number. I again protest and then told He will get back with me on :Friday. Tues day of the next week I call again and I'm told "by the week end". Nothing. When I ask them for a "written" final offer so that I can take my claim to Arbitration as the agreement calls for, they ignore my multiple emails and voice mails.I attempted to contract the arbitration company on my own but found out they are out of business.I have relocated over 18 times in my life and this is absolutely the worst company that I have ever dealt with. For you sake, think carefully before you use them.

Poor communication throughout the entire process. Our items were almost a month late. They moved our stuff from one truck to another and did not give us updates without us asking first even when it was past the day everything was supposed to arrive. When it eventually got to our location, the driver was threes hours late. The office and supervisor were unprofessional on the phone and didn’t seem to care. Our items were moved into a storage unit. The driver had hired two workers to move the stuff who did a good job but were rushed due to the driver being late. The company offered to leave our items wrapped in the furniture blankets which was nice, but then refused to pay for damage done when we unloaded the storage unit because we could not prove it was done by their company. It took them over a month to tell us this. They never told us that if unloading into a storage unit we had to inspect each item immediately even though they give a window to put in a claim and offered for us to leave the items wrapped. The poor communication led to many of the problems and could have been easily been fixed. We had one good conversation with a supervisor towards the end of the ordeal but no follow up. We would never use this company again and do not recommend.

The movers showed up on time to pick up my furniture and even showed up a day early to unload my stuff. The driver, Pete, was very friendly and he and his helper were very professional. The office personnel communicated regularly throughout my move. I haven't checked anything that was transported yet, but it appeared everything traveled well. My moving experience with North American was exceptional.

The driver and his workers were amazing and would use them again. It was nice to have everything orchestrated for me being a widow. Everything went off without a hitch.

I have moved 38 times and worked my way through college as a mover (with North American). So this review comes with some experience behind it. I did a local full house move this summer with Air Van. Although it was only 8 blocks, the damage was more significant than expected. Doing summer moves (their busy period) you get some inexperienced crew, which ups the risk. I understand that anytime you have people involved, things happen that shouldn't. The measure I use on moves is how does the company respond these issues. On this move Air Van was less than responsive. They sent me a check to pay my claim that did not relfect the cost of the repairs. They did it without inspection and refused to divulge their calculations. They dissassembled my refrigerator and left parts off when reassembled it. They refuse to do anything about it. I have used other Boise movers who are a little more expensive but were very forthwrite on the repairs and customer issues. I would not use Air Van again!

All staff were extremely helpful and personable. Helped in every way and packed all things well! Would not hesitate to use their company again!
