I can't say enough good things about Dr McKown and his awesome staff! They treat me and my dog like family. Even though they are busy, they are always patient with my questions and always show compassion. My dog recently had dental surgery and they went above and beyond to make it a good experience. Thanks Pets First!

Everyone at Pet's First always shows they care about our dogs. The Vets take great care of them. One of our dogs needs prescription food and the front office staff makes sure we're able to get it when needed. As much as I'm not fond of giving 5 star reviews, try as I might, can't think of a negative.

Charges on our recent vet bill that were never discussed with us. Transparency and communication with patients is extremely important and when I called to ask about what the the charges were and why they were applied out of confusion, Marissa said “it’s charges we assume everyone would know.” Wow! That’s not okay.

This review is only about my experience with the grooming service. It was our first time at this facility. Within 20 minutes of dropping off our dog we get a call from them saying they have LOST OUR DOG. Somehow they managed to set out dog loose and they are located next to a very busy street. They were able to locate our dog and bring her back. But they are very lucky that our dog was not hit by a car and they were able to locate her in time. Our dog was not groomed and we did not stick around for them to finish the service. It was clear that they do not know how to handle dogs properly and do not follow basic safety and security protocols. I will never return to this location. Thank you however to the lady at the clinic (not the groomers) that was able to locate our dog and bring her back safely.

Yesterday was my second time going to Pets First and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. They are friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure I'm completely aware of what's going on with my pup and the best course of action to treat him. Dr. McKown was the vet I saw and made me feel completely at ease with everything. Thank you Pets First and Dr. McKown!

Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. The Dr's are wonderful and answer your questions fully. The facility is very nice and clean and has a great boutique attached. This is the only vet I've been to in the area other than a couple emergency vets but I don't see myself needing to really look elsewhere.

We have taken all our dogs and cats here for care and kenneling since they opened. That's three cats and five dogs thru the years. We even adopted a dog their vet and staff were fostering. They are excellent vets; have engaged and caring staff; and our furry family members have always jumped out of the car and run in to see their friends at Pets First! When it has been time to send them over the Rainbow Bridge, their staff and vets have been caring and gentle. Our litmus test for a good vet clinic is how happy our pets are to see them and how healthy and what long lives they have with the tender and top line treatment they provide. This clinic checks off all the boxes of how to treat pets and pet owners right. I consistently recommend them to friends and family.

The doctor and techs are all great here! They take amazing care of my little guy. He does not love his nails trimmed at home so we visit regularly for pedicures! ;) Henry has also boarded three nights and he had a wonderful stay and definitely was not left wanting for attention!! The entire staff is caring, kind, and accommodating! They love pets, and it shows!

I cannot express to you how much this Vet office means to my family and I. I recently took in a senior dog to where we have a total of 3 dogs now and let me tell you Pets First is the only Vet Office I will go to now. They will do everything they can to help you and they are all so professional and friendly. THE BEST VET OFFICE IN IDAHO. Thank you Pets First for always thinking of my pets first<3.

Pet first was great. They were able to get out pet in quickly to establish new care. We we’re having dental issues and they were able to see us almost a month sooner than any other vet we contacted.I highly recommend pet first, very pet friendly.
