The worst experience!!! It was my first time here and my last!!! The girl that did my hair hurt me so much! I used to love salon day, but today was a nightmare! She doesn't know how to wash my hair or be gentle, I feel like my head is bleeding. She scratched so hard even after I asked her to be more gentle! My head still hurts! My hair looks green - yellow but not brown, that was the color that I wanted, I thought the manager would help, during my 5 hours nothing happened. Don't come here if you care about your hair they are just going to damage your hair! Now I have to find another salon to fix it, fun, right?

When I came in and asked for what I have been doing for over three years I was belittled and questioned not only by the woman coloring my hair but by this man who didn’t have a client that would not leave me alone. I know what I want and I expect to be given what I ask for. Not only did they question me the ENTIRE time but when the process was done I could tell that she literally did NOTHING that I asked for. I asked for a DARK, almost-black brown that got rid of the copper in my natural hair bc it washes me out. I ended with a wimpy light brown that blended my roots into my previously dyed hair. My hair was still CLEARLY my natural color on top. I was furious. And the wimpy brown washed out after a few washes, leading me to believe she used a semi permanent color without telling me. Also, I asked for long, blended layers in my haircut. I got super choppy, short layers that were not blended at all. It looked awful. It was a total waste of the $200 I was charged for the service. I debated leaving this review for a very long time, but after recently going to get it cut again and asking the new girl to fix it, she told me I should have reported the stylist to her manager for what she did.

Riley was extremely kind and did a great job with my hair. It looks better than it ever has! If she is on duty, ask for her!
I have really difficult hair and am really bad at describing what I want, but she was patient with me.
Also, she doesn't force u to have a conversation. Don't get me wrong, I love a good conversation, but not all the time. Most hairdressers keep asking questions, trying to keep the awkward conversation going. Which isn't bad, but sometimes I don't want to talk.

I’ve been coming here since the other salon was turned into an arcade. My favorite stylist is Nicole. She’s such a lovely, sweet girl. She always did my hair. I change colors allot. She got me blonde, grey, blond with pink ends, red and so on! She’s always done an amazing job and I can’t thank her enough. Recently I went to a new person there because Nicole was booked and I had a hair EMERGENCY. I cannot remember who did it but she was also very lovely! She did an amazing job and took my short hair, down to my shoulders to full short short! We shaved the back of my head down and made a cute looking short haircut! Almost pixie like! I love it so much I couldn’t be happier! JC Penny salon is a wonderful salon. Full of wonderful people. I’d highly recommend this place. Everyone there is VERY professional and clean!

Maggie did a wonderful job with my hair. I’m in the process of going totally grey and she spent many hours making my hair look beautiful!

I cannot recommend this salon enough, this was one of the best hair experiences I’ve ever had! I am so impressed by the quality and artistry of my stylist Morgan, the results were even better than I imagined, and I’ve already received so many compliments. :) if you’re looking for a dimensional blonde look Morgan is your gal!Aside from the beautiful results of my hair I really enjoyed the experience and atmosphere of the salon. You can tell that the stylists are happy to work there and genuinely care about their clients and coworkers. I’m pretty shy and Morgan did a great job making me feel welcome and comfortable. 10/10

I had a wonderful experience at my appointment. I haven't had my hair done professionally since 2018, typically I just trim it and color it myself. Iva is a rockstar manager though and I explained to her my hair has been like a security blanket but I was wanting a big change, one that I knew I couldn't do on my own. She set me up with the wonderful and incredibly talented Maggie who did such an amazing job transforming my hair from my long and lifeless ginger locks to a beautiful and bright blonde with the cutest cut. She was so friendly and explained everything she was doing, making sure I was comfortable and being taken care of. She even listened to me and my hair concerns, she nailed my inspiration pics, and it was just an all-round great time. The whole staff there was super friendly and sweet, like I had known them all for years. Maggie did such an amazing job, though, and I'm still just amazed and loving it!!! They also didn't push any product but made some helpful recommendations that I ended up purchasing and also love. I will definitely be booking with Maggie again and looking forward to future services as well!!! Thanks so much again!

Emma was great! I got in and she got right to work. Had a great consultation, asked all the necessary questions. I got a cut and color and it was perfect. I even purchased products! The current manager is definitely taking care of business. I will definitely be going back!

I had a great experience with Vanessa! I am always so hesitant to cut my hair because I’m worried about my curls, but Vanessa did such a great job. The first picture is my hair after being in a braid, but the curls were being weighed down by my length. Vanessa was able to help me keep the length I wanted and bring life back to my curls. Highly recommend her!!

Today I walked into JC Penny a little confused as to what things I should buy and how they would fit for an interview I have coming up. A gentleman named Anthony walked up and introduced himself and began to help me. He started finding my measurements and grabbed all the options I liked and followed me to the dressing area. He checked in on me, swapped sizes for me, and found exactly what I wanted and I ended up spending twice as much money on things I really did need, and very thankful I did. This Boise location is very fortunate to have a man with as much experience as he has and I really appreciate his help.

My first experience was with Iva, the manager. She called me after I booked my appointment online, she was amazing, and kind, trying to find out exactly what I wanted. I then, came to the salon where I met with Morgan. She was running behind, but she was so worth the wait! She took her time, and did an amazing job being I gave her so little to work with as far as what I wanted! The salon was closing, and I loved that another worker, I believe her name was Maggie, offered to help finish up! I had two stylists blow drying my hair!! Everyone I encountered was extremely kind! Thank you Morgan for such a wonderful experience, all the laughs, your attention to detail! I love my new hair! You definitely gained a lifetime customer!!
