October 2023 by Brandon isenberg
So since October 15th 2023 the hot water does not work and won't be fixed till maybe Thursday or Friday not cool but understandable, but what's worse is October 17th 2023 the power was cut off for some outside reason, it was all for about an hour 15 minutes hour 30 and then immediately once the lights came on people started beating on everybody's door to let them know that there is a gas leak NEITHER the staff of the hotel nor the homeless shelter staff here at the red lion, called 911 to have the fire department make sure it was safe to go back inside. It took me roughly about 10 minutes from whenever people were beating on my door to wake up myself and my child to get us dressed and outside, myself and several other parents asked the staff if they called 911 fire department to clear the building to make sure it was indeed safe to return inside they said no we Don't need to. I'm pretty sure we all know the saying it's better to be safe than sorry. Instead he "Joel " threatened to evicted the worried parents for telling him and other families that until the fire department cleared the gas leak. When I called 911 and asked them to send the fire department staff called and tried to cancel my request for them to make sure it was safe for myself and my son as well as the numerous other families that were staying at this hotel as well as in the interfaith sanctuary shelter at the hotel the homeless shelter staff member JOEL threatened to get the family members worried about their kids safety as well as others kicked out of the shelter program at the Red Lion. When the hotel as well as the shelter staff got complaints of a gas leak they neglected to call the fire department which means that they do not care about the safety and well-being of their guests. That is their first priority is the health and welfare of all guests. Like the saying goes, it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. The staff member Joel of the interfaith sanctuary shelter repeatedly threatened residence of the interfaith sanctuary for calling the fire department to make sure it was indeed safe to return indoors saying oh Miranda will have you removed from the shelter program because you called the fire department, one resident elevated his voice so that all parents can know that until fire department clears it it's not safe , Granted yes an hour later, fire department cleared the building saying it was safe to return inside. Because a lot of use once we smelled the face punch of the gas when exiting our rooms has indeed dissipated. JOEL staff of the interfaith sanctuary continued to threaten families with eviction because they were worried about the safety and well-being of all parties staying at this hotel, instead of upholding his job and calling the emergency services fire department to make sure the building was indeed safe he refused to, instead profusely threatened several guest.

Negative experiences with staff insensitivity. Bed bugs, lice, scabies are very real issues for residents of this shelter.

It is safe. Staff provide pretty much anything you need.

This is a shelter that tells you you do not work. Wants you not to work and live out of the government, they lie to other resources. They love people who are on drugs. They put kids around. People who sells methamphetamine. And heroine They do not back the police department. They will slander your name, call. Child protective services, they are very liberal. They do not like a person working. Their prerogative is to keep you down. Do not go to a drug infested shelter. That says they say, cure your home. And they do not. They use it against you. I have video proof and evidence they do this.

Interfaith Sanctuary is an amazing and very helpful facility. If you need a place to stay and you are homeless come and get help!!The staff always has an open mind and will listen to you.

This place is awful. They will go through your room when you aren't there, without permission or notice. You're things will go missing, and they will kick you and your family out on the street because of your ESA without notice or warning (I thought ESA's where protected by law, but they are above that). You won't get any help from them, there are no resources or help for the people staying there, in all honesty sleeping in your car is a better option. Homeless people should still be able to have some respect and be treated with dignity, but not at Interfaith. If you're an investor looking for a good cause to invest in, I would keep looking because this one is NOT it.

All the staff members act like children and have no empathy towards the guest.. all the staff members are stuck on stupid.. personalizing everything.. but yeah it's better than sleeping outside.. also very petty with the free food donations that come in..rationing the free second hand food like we're at war.. mine as well be living in the slums of Mexico the way these people act.. the staff members also use the guest to do there job they get paid to do..

I have used their services for almost a year. I do a few chores every week and am only asked to shower and change my bed linens. It's way less than what would be asked of you if you had your own place. The staff here are phenomenal. They listen and they truly do care for us. I've noticed a lot more people come in during the winter season but that makes sense due to the weather outside.I've had a job most of the time that I've stayed here and I spoke with a counselor here and they are helping me find an apartment!Don't listen to the negative reviews! They serve us food at checkin and the rules are posted that you must let staff know your schedule and to call in before 5pm to check in.If you decide you want to donate the front door has a doorbell. Staff will receive it and make sure it is given to the right people.Take care and come volunteer sometime!

Interfaith is a wonderful organization they have been a source of strength and positive influence for me. Maranda the Manager does an amazing job leading the Sanctuary. She loves her job and you can tell. She is a inspiration to me. My group leader Nicki is a very special and gifted instructor. I would be lost without Interfaith in my life. When I move on I will think very fondly of my time staying at Interfaith. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

They've been pushing everybody outside in the rain and snow during the day and sombody I know Is staying there and they are now sick and getting worse I don't understand why They put them outside like this it defeats the purpose of a shelter...multiple people have gotten pneumonia and a couple have left in ambulances...
