I was at the Boise Towne center today buying shoes for my son and a floor salesman was extremely rude to us, mostly my child. We asked about shoes (for a male obviously) in size 10. He said they didn't have any, but we asked about the floor model being size 10. He was upset that we noticed the floor model was a size 10 and we inquired about the match for it.He went to the back and brought a size 10 in women's (we didn't know they were womens, we were flustered at his rude behavior) As he threw the box at us said "Here, I guess we have them" and walked away. We bought them, after checking out with Andrew (who was amazing) and we left. We noticed about 10 minutes later they were in fact shoes for female. My question is why was a female shoe on display in the men's section? And why was the floor salesman so rude and unprofessional and had no knowledge between the difference in shoes? It's disappointing - if you don't like your job then find a new one. Don't take it out on a child. We won't be returning. Found the same pair, at Champs, in the size we needed without the snotty service.

Racists. Walked in the first time, no greeting, did not ask me if i needed help. White family comes in after me and gets acknowledged. Went to Champs and the workers were nicer. Went back to this foot locker and still no acknowledgement of me (i wanted to buy a pair of jordans). I didnt end up purchasing because they're racists.

I was ready to go on and buy a pair of shoes, but one of the guys, taller with medium length hair, was an absolute j**** I asked if he could double check a size, because I couldn’t remember if they had my size or not, and his response was very rude, stating “we told you last time you were in we don’t have your size. And you didn’t even buy anything.” Well, you just lost my services for a while. He was acting very stuck up and acted like he was entitled to my buying his product.

Everyone says retail is dying. It is. No doubt. The rise of Amazon has basically killed the retail industry. It's always been fun to go to the mall and walk around. Even today, I still enjoy it. Glad we still have our mall. I'm GenX tho. We grew up when the mall world exploded in popularity. So going now is still fun for most of us, even those of us that are the "younger GenX'ers"So, going to a mall now can either 1) still be fun or 2) incredibly depressing. Boise mall, I read couple years ago, was one of the malls still going strong. Then Covid hit and everything went to sh_t. Local retail stores went down, Amazon shot up. How convenient! Nowadays, the traffic is usually small unless it's the weekend. They dropped hours from 9pm to 7pm except Friday and Saturday they close at 8pm. People complain about retail employees these days and after a visit to Boise Towne Squares Foot Locker...I can't blame them one bit. FIVE employees were there the other day! FIVE! All five of them were huddled in the center of the store, watching their phones. I'm guessing TikToks. I get it, TikTok is extremely addictive, even for us GenX'ers lol. However, you work retail and have your phones on the floor!? All five of you?? Totally ignoring the fact that there were like 6-7 customers in the store. These guys were TOTALLY oblivious to all of us. Not one of them offered any help. I've never been a big fan of Foot Locker. Always seen it as overpriced, horrible selection, etc. Now?! I'll never go back. I have absolutely no reason or desire to go back. I say all of this because in the late 90s, early to mid- 2000s, I worked retail. We always went out of our way to help the customers. We'd be written up or worse if we did what these five guys did the other day. This generation, has their reputation for a reason. You wanna see that reason, stop in at this Foot Locker. They have absolutely no desire to help customers. Most are there because their parents probably said "maybe you should get a job" When I was younger it was "I'm not giving you a dime! Get a job" hahaha! I'm all for people having their fun, watching whatever on their phone, God knows I'm super addicted to my phone. I can admit that lol. However, if I worked retail, there's no way I would have treated the customers the way this group did. Do I sound like an old man? Probably. Do I care? Not a damn bit haha! It's just interesting to see this generation vs past generations. Or rather, it's interesting to see how retail and their employees are nowadays vs how they were. Experiences like this is why people jump on Amazon. They don't have to deal with detached employees. Employees who have zero respect and couldn't care less who is in their store. I will always go to stores before Amazon. It's just fun for me and reminds me of going places with my mom when I was a kid. So until retail stores are completely gone, I'll continue to go :) I just won't go back to Foot Locker at Boise Mall. If you follow me, you know I post reviews that exactly reflect my experiences whether good or bad. I do not lie in my reviews. I never want to be a Yelper who uses this app just to be bitter. You get exactly what happened. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but if I have to, I will. Thanks, Yelpockers!! Cheers!

Too expensive, even for the mall. Unfortunately the customer service didn't make up for the high prices.

Liked the different variety of shoes. Carry many sizes. Prices are pretty good compared to other shoe stores in the Mall. But the Nike socks were crazy expensive. Will not be buying Nike socks there in future. Staff was friendly and quick.

Selection is not too much but also not too little at the store, usually all the trending items are on sale and they always have the latest NBA player kicks

After having no luck at every other shoe store, we stopped at Foot Locker. Haven't bought anything here in a while, but we were pleasantly surprised to find my wife some Nike Air Max in the kids section on sale that were "super freaking comfortable," and didn't look like children's shoes.
