Making the switch to Customedica has been nothing short of outstanding. They are so kind, knowledgeable, responsive, and caring. The pharmacists are always professional and willing to answer any questions you may have and the technicians are incredibly friendly and helpful. I really love their retail side as well and the cute, niche products they sell. I will never go through another pharmacy in Boise and recommend Customedica to anyone who is needing a new primary pharmacy!!

Custom Medica is an amazing pharmacy that is friendly and cares about each patron. Their compounding is wonderful. The owner Shah makes sure each prescription is filled on time and to perfection.I love this Pharmacy and everyone who works there. Customedica is the most incredible pharmacy. I had to switch pharmacies because of our insurance and Customedica was one option. I’d never go to another pharmacy ever. All staff is ALWAYS friendly, kind, and helpful. Insurance was giving me the runaround once and the pharmacist called and handled it without my prompting. They’re proactive for customers and awesome in every way. I always feel like my business really matters to them, and they’re genuine glad to see me. We’ve also had medications compounded for our animals, too, and they’re equally as good at that and helpful for animals as well as humans.

I feel awful having to write this review as I’ve been a customer for a number of years, however because of a recent experience I feel I have an ethical responsibility to do so. I chose Customedica because I liked that they were a small business and believed I would be treated as a person rather than a number for a large corporate chain.Recently, their hours were decreased to M-F 9-6 which was disappointing but understandable given ongoing staffing challenges. So, on Friday at around 5 I dropped what I was doing so I could refill my prescriptions.While checking out, the price I was given was much higher than I normally paid. I asked the tech and she said that my 20 milligram prescription was backordered so they were going to give me 2 10 milligrams to take instead. I told her they my doctor’s office already called me and we decided to change to a 25 because of this. She told me she has no record of this and could only give me the x2 10 milligram and the insurance wouldn’t cover it unless they received additional authorization from my doctor via fax which, according to her, would take a week.I was out of the prescription which is why I rushed over to fill it. Despite my concern about quitting my prescription cold turkey her only suggestion was to pay out of pocket, which I could not afford. I paid the copay for my other two prescriptions and left nearly in tears.I immediately called my doctor’s office and they verified they had called in the 25 milligram prescription. I asked them to send it to another pharmacy so I could get it filled ASAP. They also said they would never have taken a week to give approval for the x2 10 milligram and that Customedica should have called them directly.While I was on the phone with my doctor’s office I received a call from the tech. She said she found the updated prescription and that they ran it through insurance and I could pick it up if I care immediately there. I told her that I already sent it to another pharmacy and to cancel the order as I would be transferring all my prescriptions. She said she would without any apology or concern.Fast forward to trying to pick up my prescription at the Albertsons Savon. They were unable to fill it because they Customedica tech never canceled the order. The Savon tech was extremely apologetic but was unable to do anything without Customedica’s approval.I am now 3 days without a prescription that is dangerous to stop taking because of Customedica’s errors. Although it was one tech the pharmacist and other staff heard my issue and did nothing.I’m extremely saddened by this experience and caution anyone needing to fill a prescription to rely on them.
