“Every time I leave BBP, I walk away feeling empowered by the knowledge I gained, and more confident that my bike will keep rolling. The staff is incredible and they truly are building a community of friendly bike folks. I started from zero in the bike world, but attended their maintenance clinics and fem night. I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned about bikes! BBP/the shop/the staff/the idea warms my heart! Thanks for everything BBP!”

“Our family really enjoyed this experience. There were 3 tanks for the kids to touch fish and rays, a wide variety of fishes and other animals to look at, and even a bird-feeding experience (we didn't do that one). You do have to pay at the door, and food for the fish and birds was extra (not extravagant). I thought it was a very cool hands-on, up-close experience that can be lacking at bigger aquariums. Staff was friendly and engaged. Overall good value for the money.”

“The Peregrine Fund is a very special organization! They assist endangered Raptors / Birds of Prey all over the world. They research why specific species of Raptors are failing, and go all-in to help restore them! This special facility in Boise is the one place you can come and see up close and personal Raptors from all over the world. Awesome staff, fabulously knowledgeable volunteers. Definitely worth the time!”

“I love this shop! The collection they have curated is interesting and I like reading about the countries and artists represented. It's not in a typical shopping destination area, but it's close to everything downtown and is worth the side trip.”

“I have not yet visited the 'school' / 'learning experiment lab' called, Stone One, in Idaho but based on their video; their values and philosophy I'd say they are far ahead of the 'education' game and that the world WILL soon indeed be a better place because of them!!”

“We attended Camp Rainbow Gold this weekend for Fall Family Camp and absolutely loved it! We weren't quite sure what to expect, we thought it would be something like summer camp where you do activities and sign songs, which we did, but there is much more depth to the camp than that.We arrived Thursday afternoon, checked in, and were shown our cabin. We were expecting little wooden cabins, we didn't even know if they'd have electrical outlets, turns out our cabin was 2 stories and could sleep about 8 people with 2 full bathrooms and a balcony. With family camp each family gets their own cabin. For activities over the weekend we did archery, mountain biking, ropes course, Pound, pumpkin pie making, made haunted gingerbread houses, scavenger hunt, art shack, kids carnival, parents night, star gazing, played games, are lots of yummy food, and hung out with retired NFL quarterback Carson Palmer and his family. It was unusually warm and smoky due to area forest fires so Friday most of our activities had to be inside, but the volunteers adjusted gracefully and made staying inside just as enjoyable as being outside. All activities were fun and the instructors were awesome, and while I could gush about all the activities a few particularly stood out and were above expectations. When I heard archery I thought of Cub Scout Day camp archery where they give you a cheap bow and your arrow barely flies 10ft. Nope, this was legit! John, the volunteer who ran the activity, spent one on one time with each participant and taught them how to shoot a bow. Even our 3yr old was hitting targets! Next, star gazing. When I heard star gazing I pictured looking up at stars as we walked back to our cabin; instead, it was another volunteer who brought his homemade telescopes out to camp so everyone could look at the moon and stars.Carson Palmer and his family also joined us Saturday afternoon. Of course he signed balls and took photos, but he also spent one on one time with every child and listened to what they had to say. He threw balls to them, his family played games with them, they even did archery with us. My son's wish is now to become an NFL quarterback like Carson Palmer. Now to the volunteers, they are incredible! They made sure everyone was safe, enjoying themselves, and felt welcomed, loved, and accepted. Our counselor Abbie was assigned two families due to some volunteers not being able to attend, but she made us, especially our kids, feel like they were the only ones in the world, but not just Abbie, all the volunteers make you feel that way. Since most of them are former participants and have had childhood cancer in their families they are empathetic and truly understand what we're going through. You can tell they care and their number one priority is to support the Oncology kids and families in whatever ways they can. The volunteers cooking made sure everyone had plenty of food and catered to special diets and my picky eats. The maintenance volunteers made sure everything was clean. The public restrooms were always clean! While Camp Rainbow Gold as an organization is top notch, the best part of camp are the other Oncology kids and their families. Our daughter is a year into treatment for Leukemia and living in Eastern Idaho we haven't had many opportunities to connect with other families going through similar challenges as us, but at camp we got to talk and interact with people who understand exactly what we're going through and can empathize with us.There are families of children currently battling cancer, children who are cancer free, children who's cancer has returned, and children who have passed away from cancer. The volunteers make the camp an emotionally safe environment where everyone can express their feelings and have deep conversations without feeling judged or like we're taking about something taboo. We left camp feeling understood, loved, lifted up, and with a stronger support group than we had before. We will be returning to Camp Rainbow Gold as often as we can.”

“We've shopped at different HfH restores in many states and this one is pretty nice. It's well organized, clean, well lit, and the prices are great. I love that the doors have sizes written on them and most everything is priced clearly. The staff is nice and super helpful. Ricky was awesome, he knew about so many products that were in the store, where they were and what he had in stock! There is plenty of parking even if you have a trailer. ** They even have monthly specials, this month is 50% off hardwood flooring, 10% off tile, and tables and chairs were discounted also!!!”

“My son has been tutored at Lee Pesky Learning Center for 3 years. The gains that he has made in reading under his tutor, Aubrie’s guidance have been truly remarkable. I feel like I can call the center anytime with questions and the staff always has time to answer my questions and offer advice. I can not express how much I value Aubrie’s opinion.Ann provided a professional high quality evaluation with concrete recommendations to help Finn be more successful. My son recently started math tutoring as well and is very happy to work with Ashley. As a seasoned educator myself, I am constantly in awe of the amazing results that my son has achieved working with the center. I couldn’t feel more grateful.”

“This is a fantastic service for anyone who needs a little help to get started on their road to recovery from Drugs, or mental health. Their counselors are fantastic. Pathways has a nurse on site who can assist with withdrawls or other medical needs. This is a great place to reach out to if you need a safe place to lay your head at night. If you need help, reach out, their are plenty of resources in our community to get you out of whatever you need help from.”

“They're amazing to work with, and get help from. They have many services and they barley charge anything. They get everything to the best of their ability and a timely manner considering everything crazy going on right now.Wether that is legal services or related to immigration, the place is the best. Many refugees though expect much more of what the place can offer, due to the fact that they have a very false narrative of how things are in the U.S. before coming here, yet regardless, IRC always try the best to give the best services they can, and they always deliver.Compared to other offices in other states, the boise IRC office is in the top 3 for sure in my opinion!”

“The kid zone staff is fantastic at the downtown Y! Every single worker knows my kids names and appears happy to see them when they come in. Susan and Riley go above and beyond with the kids in kid zone. I fully trust all the workers at the downtown Y. They text me when I need to feed my infant and even change his poopy diapers. I highly recommend this staff!”

“The facilities are nice and I like that the machines are updated and taken care of. My only complaint is that the weight room upstairs is always crowded and everything is so cram packed in there. I think taking the cardio machines out of the weight machine area and spreading everything out a bit more would make a HUGE difference! I have been in there every day of the week and not once is there a treadmill or Elliptical unavailable in the cardio area that people need to come in the weight room to use a treadmill or elliptical. Everything else has been great though. Definitely crossing my fingers and toes that someday they take the cardio equipment out of there!”

“This is one of the better goodwill stores in the treasure Valley. Great selection of clothing. The housewares department was a mess. Not very much in the means of sporting goods or outdoor equipment. Also lots of great men’s shoes and women’s shoes. The children’s department, both clothes and shoes was kind of sparse. The bedding also fabulous. They also seem to have lower and more reasonable prices than the other goodwill stores in the valley.”

“I am not the type to open up to doctors or counselors easily but when I came here I felt so safe and secure. I had been in a very traumatic situation and I felt no judgement from the staff and they were so helpful. They gave me so many resources and you can tell these people truly care about your wellbeing. Thank you Faces of Hope.”
