For about a week now I’ve contacted Beacon Plumbing to first check a leak from my dishwasher—the service was great and I got some good advice on future plumbing problems. The same goes for the technician that was sent to me today to check on leakage from my washing machine. Again, I received excellent service and advice.

Ken and Eric were great. Ken spent a lot of time showing me how everything worked, which I really appreciated. They were polite, efficient and competent. They were timely and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend these two men - GREAT JOB -Thank you.

Very pleased! We had a blockage (something fell into toilet) on a Saturday (of course it was the weekend!) - but Alex was able to help us, was very pleasant, explained everything, and did the job efficiently so it wasn't a bigger issue than it needed to be. We have a new regular plumber. Thanks!

If I could give it negative stars, I would. My kitchen drain was backing up so I called Beacon. The tech came out and told me it would cost $325 just to try to clear the clog (when I called to make the appointment, I was told estimates are not given out over the phone but the anticipated cost would be around $225-$250). I told the tech I had used my own snake and I got it to 20 feet before I was stopped. He spent about 15 minutes snaking the drain and told me he got to 24 feet and could not go any further. He then told me I could pay $350 to have a camera run down the line, or I could pay $3,200 to move the pipe. He also put a cap on a pipe in my basement. My wife and I went out to dinner that night and received a call from my kids that the basement was flooding with water. The cap the tech put on had blown off and there was a layer of nasty dishwasher water in my basement. I called Beacon and they sent the same tech out to fix the problem. He put the pipe back exactly how it was before he came, and then used a shop vac to suck up the water. However, the solids from the dishwasher water were still left behind and the basement smelled for days after that. I understand that there can be a cost to come out and try to fix a problem. However, spending 10 to 15 minutes trying to snake out the drain and then telling me that additional measures would cost between $350 and $3,200 is not reasonable. My father-in-law flew up from California, and, while it took him many hours, he was able to eventually get the clog taken care of. I feel like either additional effort should’ve been made since I was paying so much, or I should’ve received a refund of most of the fee given that little to nothing was done to fix the problem. When I contacted Beacon to complain, I had to submit the complaint twice, and I was told someone would get back to me. That was two months ago and I have heard nothing.I cannot express how much you should avoid using Beacon for any plumbing problems.
