A very nice park and amphitheater honoring the fallen soldiers from Bingham County. Could use some picnic tables.

This is an amazing memorial for our veterans. It is huge, has 9 flags in three different locations and the place is spotless. On the inner circle there is an awesome plaque on the wall that says Bingham County Idaho Fallen Soldiers. They did a really good job on this memorial.

we and our grandkids live ½ block away from patriot field. we really enjoyed playing here when it was just a grassy field. now, it has been made into a low, grassy hill with a weird sort of ampithiater in the middle. the space in the middle contains a blank plinth that is supposed to eventually (?) have a statue placed on it and a large circle of grass that is a quaqmire after it rains because there is no drainage. whoever planned the hill forgot to plan for the drainage because the outer edge of the field gets knee deep in water and mud after the snow melts off or if it rains. (it never did this before.) there are also no garbage receptacles.i don't know who owns this park. i've heard the city owns it and i've also heard that Bingham Memorial Hospital owns it.i wish that whoever does own it would take one or 2 steps to finish the improvements. a finished park would be so great. there is nothing at this end of town for children/families. one would be especially nice next to the hospital. if money is the issue, why don't they sell bricks/stones/blocks with names of local service members? our family has multiple family members who have served and we'd love to have the names engraved on one of those blocks if the cost was within reason.the circle in the center of the park is the perfect size for a small playground. even adding a few picnic tables would be amazing. imagine how much more impressive this park would be if the drainage issues were fixed, some equipment was added, picnic tables were placed, doggie trash bags were available, there were garbage cans and the statue was there?
