As a Dog Trainer / Behaviorist, I cannot recommend these guys more! They have always been wonderful, great prices & very compassionate. Everyone on their staff is genuine, kind & knowledgeable. Atmosphere is very clean, welcoming and professional. Because of my profession, I take my pets to misc. vets for simple things I know require simple solutions. I do this to see how they are; if they will try to gouge you for money, are knowledgeable & friendly. I look at their methodology and see if I would recommend them. However, after all the vets I have been to in Eastern Idaho, Animal Health Clinic is the only Vet I recommend to clients & the only vet I will take my animals to for yearly check ups and more serious visits.

Absolutely love this place. My babies have seen DJ, Sarah, and Jason. Absolutely love how knowledgable they are AND compassionate my babies. I wouldn't take them anywhere else! *The picture is of the latest mischief my baby got into and they got him in the same day I called.

I have been to many vets over the years, in many locations, including Southern California. After taking a stray cat to AHC through the non profit PAWS, I took my own cat to them when he had an accident and I thought he was severly hurt. Dr. Sarah Jacobsen looked at him and fixed him right up. AND...gave him his updated vaccinations. They got him right in at short notice, and a very reasonable bill. Squeaky clean facility, very nice techs and front desk people. I live in Pocatello, so it is a drive for me, but I will always go there from now on with my cats and dogs. They seem very thorough and organized. thank you

This animal clinic is excellent! I have an Idaho Non profit and have used them for a lot of different issues. Our rescue took in a plastic tote of yorkie puppies that had been found in a parking lot covered in ringworm. We had taken them to vet in Pocatello and had been treating them for 4-5 weeks (several rechecks & refill of meds at vet) and making No headway. I finally took them to Blackfoot because I had used them for PAWS spay program. They handled the animals with compassion coming in for spay and neuters so, I gave them a shot. (Some vets are less attentive if the animal is homeless) The Vet checked puppies and prescribed orals and within two weeks we had turned a corner. The bill was extremely reasonable. (Usually I feel like I have taken a human kid to a specialist when I pay the Pocatello Vets for a visit.) I drive 1 hour & 15 minutes to see these folks and they are well worth it. In front office is great people working for these Vets. They listen to you. Just an all round great team. I now take my personal pets to them. They diagnosed my dog's bone cancer after a Pocatello Vet had stuck a needle in her shoulder trying to draw off fluid. (And then put a compression bandage on the shoulder which made her miserable.) One visit, one ex ray and a diagnoses within 35 minutes. They gave her anti depressants (for pain) and some other meds and she was a happy girl until it was time to say goodbye. The bill was still less than Pocatello. Their prices isn't the main reason I love these guys. Their ability to think out of the box, diagnostic skills, (which is important with patients that can'tcompassion for their patient and kindness for every creature I taken thru their doors is why they get 5 stars. They are all rock stars.
