I stayed in a cabin Mid June and it was exactly what I needed. I wasn't expecting to see the Tetons from the cabin but I was pleasantly surprised when I could. Highly recommend this KOA. Staff was exceptional. Cafe food was also great.

We spent 1 night as we were passing through. It was okay. Unfortunately it is not well maintained. The pool was green. Pluses: off the main drag. Very quiet street. Did have both 30 and 50 amps.

I can laugh now, but as we pulled in - I wanted to turn around and leave :) Not because of anything other than - I had no idea that were truly here only due to the Craters of the Moon. When booking, I thought there would be more to do in the area - but if you're coming here, you are either here for a Family Reunion, or to see Craters of the Moon. That is what's on the map for any traveler passing through.Staff was insanely kind. Super nice. We pulled in and ran into an issue with hookups (provided, but they were at the end of the campsite vs. in the middle and our hoses wouldn't reach), they were able to help us immediately (Along with the kind gentleman who's site we temporarily stole). The campground offers an ice cream social daily. Good cause, good ice cream and dirt cheap. Do it. They also offer waffles (or was it pancakes?) on the weekend. They were super tasty and fit the kids requests!Playground was sub-par. Perfect if you've got really little kids (2-4 y/o). Pool was okay, nothing special - but it was water and our kids also loved it.

Well I am done with KOA. Really nice people working there but pool looked like a green soup and we stopped there for the pool so the kids can have a little swim. Also, the campground (and the city) was under a boil water advisory, so not their fault but no water avail there to buy, had to go to the grocery and nothing is mentioned on the web site to be aware before you get there. No firewood available as well. Only good point, it's close to Craters of the Moon park and we decided to ditch the KOA to stay at Craters of the Moon campground instead ($15). At least, we had water there!

Very disappointed. I specifically chose this RV park so the kids could swim. The pool is green and freezing cold. I’m not sure when the pictures were taken but the park does not look like this now. no grass, the dog park is weeds. The bathroom showers are small.. the woman’s bathroom one has no hot water and one is clogged so that leaves 1 shower. The good thing is The staff is very helpful and nice. They also have waffles and ice cream!

Craters of the Moon is one of those weird and quirky spots that are definitely worth the detour to go visit. Nowhere else in the Continental US can you see and walk into a lava tube! The permits are free and the Visitor Center has lots of cool information. We stopped for just two hours and were able to go to the Visitor Center and three cinder cones. Worth it!Walkability: There are paved walkways on a few cinder cones

Paul will accept no less than ice cream and waffles now from our RV camps!Small Town camp with some great treats! Waffles in the morning, ice cream in the evening. The staff was amazingly friendly. Clean and close to all the stuff we wanted to see.

I will never forget floating in the pool at this KOA watching nighthawks swoop overhead. Nighthawks and goldfinches chattered away each morning and afternoon. It was a hot summer stay but we kept cool in the AC of our trailer, plus cold local beer and huckleberry wine for sale at the KOA store. Rumor has it you don't get to say you've been to Idaho if you didn't have huckleberries, but the KOA camp store had huckleberry wine, so no extra trip outside the campground was needed. The campsites, pool, and facilities were clean, the staff were kind, and the store had souvenirs and camping supplies. The Boho bathroom decor was cute, and the laundry had a change machine at the ready. Having the playground in tree shade and a tall fence at the Kamp K9 were also helpful. As commented here on Yelp, yes there's a weird neighbor next to this KOA. The kayaking mannequin isn't around at present, but a 'rattlesnake refuge' sign took its place (we saw none of course) accompanied with a rusty herd of busses, political signage spray painted over an abandoned trailer, and a recording of a sassy rendition of the Star Spangled Banner played over loud speakers at sunset. Otherwise, the neighbors were quiet, and the campground guests within the park itself were friendly enough. Star Spangled Banner aside, it was a quiet, well-stocked KOA where we got to enjoying birding and swimming when we weren't making the trip to Craters of the Moon. The sunrise alone is worth the stay.

Friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced, as well as easy access to town and Craters of the Moon. Being an older park, this one is run down and is in desperate need of maintenance, which has become the norm in parks these days, unfortunately. The trees are in need of a major trim, the roads are mostly dusty bare dirt in need of gravel, the grass is mostly weeds, and the facilities and furniture, like picnic tables, are in need of repair or replacement. Not up to the usual KOA standards.

Interesting features. Informative visitors center. The caves were a little uneven to walk through. Bring a flashlight, sunscreen and water.

Not up to the usual standards we find at a KOA. Really nice people working there. Pool small but refreshing. No lawn really, mostly weeds. Cute ice cream social almost every night. Didn't try the Cafe. Close to "The Pickle Place" Cafe which was awesome! About 40 minutes from Craters of the Moon park. Probably wouldn't stay here again. Grounds need to be upgraded.
