Came in with my family to purchase a Crested Gecko. We waited for over 20 minutes, trying to find an employee that could pull out one of the geckos for us to purchase. I finally found a gentleman that said he couldn't help us because he was specialized with the aquatic section, but he said that he would find someone that could help. We continued waiting as we saw the woman that he had spoken to, continue to help people up at the cash register. My wife got in line at the checkout, made it all the way to the front, and the lady that was supposed to help us, kept bringing customers up to check out. She told my wife that she already knew that we needed help, but that she was helping a fellow associate ring somone up from an online order. She then proceeded to call the next person up to the register to ring them up. I grabbed my family and left. Very poor customer service.
We went straight to PetSmart where we were helped immediately with the purchase of the gecko, despite the store being very busy with customers.

Visited to purchase aquatic life (plants and fish). Chase, please forgive me if this is the wrong name, was very helpful and always has been.
The only reason I selected 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because of the lack of selection -lots of out of stock fish (I realize this is on corporate and not on the staff in store) and most of the aquatic plants have seen better days. There were very few in stock... and of those they did have -many had excessive melt. The other few were dead... And those in the tanks seemed to have a lot of algae issues. I do realize that bringing them home , they will get algae growth on the leaves but I try to avoid bringing it home!

The staff is kind and knowledgeable for the most part. The store itself is clean, bright, and easy to manage. There's a groomer and vet on sight, though I have not used them..this is my go-to place for fish and crickets.

NEVER BUY FISH FROM HERE!!!
I bought 6 female guppies from here because I had too many male guppies in my tank. I had gotten my original guppies out of state and they all had been living in my home fine for weeks. Two days after I brought home the females from petco 3 of the petco guppies had died. Within a week all of my guppies had gotten ich from the petco guppies. Within 10 days of bringing home the petco guppies 20 of my guppies had died. My water tested perfectly and I had lots of vegetation in my tank.The exact same thing happened to my dad's salt water tank because of a petco fish. They clearly do not know how to take care of their fish.
I spoke with the guy in charge of the fish and he admitted there had been fish from that shipment that had died before I even bought the fish. I wouldn't have purchased the fish had I known that some of the fish died from illness.
When I tried to return the fish or come up with a remedy with the employees they told me "that's the gamble you take with fish". Clearly they don't actually care to make it right.

They do not care about their animals there!! I had a friend that bought some fish from them and the petco fish got all of her fish sick and it ended up killing the original fish. (She started with 30 and now has 3) She tested her water and it came back fine, petco's fish ended up have ich and spreading it to the rest of her fish. When she brought it up to the employees they said that some of their fish died as well and there wasn't anything they could do about it.
I don't recommend their animals because they do not have the staff to take care of them all properly. I do not think they should be selling animals of any kind if they don't care about "a few sick fish."

We used to come here for all of our fish and fish needs here. It really was the best place in idaho falls to not only get fish supply's, but any animal suff. There tanks uses to be so clean and stocked with a huge variety of quality fish. These last like 10 or 11 months it's just been going completely downhill. We walked in there today to get some loaches to add to our 30 gal tank at home. Needless to say definitely will not be going there anymore as there tanks are so filthy, so many dead fish floating around, the place is a complete mess. There was 3 out of the 4 geckos are dead in there cage as well. Corporate really needs to come fix there branch.

We scheduled an appointment for our dog to get groomed. They were 3 weeks out. They called me the morning of the appointment and said the groomer was sick so they had to rescheduled. I took our dog in at the make up appointment time and 4 hours later discovered he had not been cut yet. Seemed weird to me. I have not had that experience at other salons.

They carried the prescription dog food my dog needed and honored my prescription from my own vet. Very easy.
