Mountain America is a joke of a company. Any business owners beware. They only give you 24 hours to report fraud on your account and if you miss the tiny window to do this, they will send you down the road and you lose every penny that was stolen from you. My family has loyally banked here for over a decade and was recently victims of check fraud in amounts exceeding $20,000. MACU refuses to help since it was reported 2 days after the incident (45 hours). Every other bank in America gives you 30 days to make a claim. If you bank here I'd suggest getting out ASAP. MACU Doesn't care about you or your situations. Would rate 0 stars if possible.

I've had a series of bad experiences with MACU staff at various levels and roles within the organization. Not sure if it amounts to incompetence or poorly designed procedures but I'm actively transitioning away from Mountain America and I'm taking my business to other credit unions in the area who are a little more customer-oriented.

UPDATE: I changed to 3 star as the representative from the call center who helped us when we decided to cancel our appointment after getting home due to the interaction. She discussed options and how she could help us and make it right. So we decided to give another chance and set another appointment.
Went here per recommendation. Bad first impression for new member account opening.
Greeted nicely wanted to open a Youth cd for our nephew. Teller let us know 10-15 mins.
We waited assuming we were waiting for person in office. (NOT)
Teller comes back around 20 mins later and says oh another 5-10mins when one of these other tellers are available (mind you one Just walked 10 mins before that) but didn't seem like 1st teller communicated anything. And 5 other people were helped in the now 30 mins we were waiting.
So we ended up deciding to make an appt which still wouldnt be for another hr and 30 mins.

Austin in the Service Center really helped me out with my loan payment and figuring out a good option for me. I'd definitely recommend their loan servicing department for any questions or needs!

I had a recent issue with Mountain America Credit Union's service call center, but my visit to the Ammon MACU branch turned my experience around. Amanda, one of the tellers, tried to understand my problem and actively worked with me to find a solution. I had not encountered such exceptional service in IF. Amanda's assistance made a significant difference, and I am grateful for the outstanding support I received

I received amazing help here today. All my questions were answered and I was able to get great financial advice! At times I felt like my questions were silly but the person helping me was always friendly and patient. I was so impressed. Thank you Forrest and MACU!

I enjoy the atmosphere of the open floor plan. Although, it can be difficult to find the end of the line. Fortunately the lines are very short. The staff is always friendly. I feel like I am the most important person in the world.
