Nice quickstop for munchies. Very nice employees. A historic building with the original cash register which rung up purchases from 1894 to 2003. The Tracy General Store is the longest continually operating store in Idaho. For more than 100 years, folks in Almo have been relying on this historic store for their supplies.

They were closed when I arrived, but I met five adorable cats when I got there. This one was my favorite and got plenty of pets before I was on my way.

Stopped here for snacks and water while we were climbing in City of Rocks. You have to try the blueberry lemon cakes at the front counter! Adorable little place!

Despite being the only gas in a 25-mile radius, the store is not open on Sundays. Their pay at pump is also broken/ not maintained so if you are planning to get gas here out of open hours, you are out of luck.

Stopped by on the recommendation of the City of Rocks ranger. The family makes the ice cream and even the brownies that go in the excellent chocolate raspberry brownie ice cream.

Saw this place on google maps while researching another project. The name got me so on a recent motorcycle ride I wandered down. The ride was top notch getting there.Went inside hoping to get a souvenir but they don't have those types of things, but they are working on it. Talked with the owner while I was there, she was baking turnovers and had some other homemade goodies available. The place is well taken care of and doesn't look as old as it is. There was coffee available besides the baked goods. Will be back ehen I have more time. The sign inside the stote was found in the local landfill by previous owners with a piece missing, maybe for some small project requiring a piece of tin.

We love this little store! We come to Almo in the off season to get away and relax, and usually walk down to the Tracy store a couple of times a day just to stretch our legs and chat with whoever is working. The store is charming, featuring pictures and many antiques from the area's past. They carry a little bit of everything (except alcohol), and even sell some home-made food such as breakfast burritos and cookies. Everyone we've ever encountered there has been friendly, warm, and happy to chat for awhile. Hours are limited, though: They're open only from 8am - 5pm and closed on Sundays.
