Do not bother going to Waikele Waipahu Pet Hospital or any of their other locations, they care only about charging the highest prices and nonsense services will be added to your bill. The people who run this hospital is shady as it comes, it’s like a cult.
I paid a fraction going to another hospital, Animal House in Ewa Beach and the staff truly cared about our fur baby; because, its a smaller staff so it felt like family how they treated us and cared for our dog.
A friend of ours took her fur baby to Waikele Waipahu Pet Hospital three years ago and her dog died the next day after taking something prescribed for a minor concern. She wanted to file a former complaint but because my daughter referred her to this place, she refrained from filing the claims but she actually didn’t know what to do that’s why. I wish we had known about this, we would have supported her at the time it happened.

My husky “Kyra” and lil siamese cat “Yumi” love it here. Especially for their yummy treats. My girls said they wanna come back for the treats. The atmosphere is great and front desk staff are PAWMAZING.

ER visit. My boy was misdiagnosed by the radiologist and veterinarian. It ended up being the issue I specifically asked about, but vet dismissed. I appreciate the staff’s friendliness, but my boy suffered, and I lost him a week later. Still paying off the outrageous bill.

I've had to take my cat here a few times after hours and they've always accommodated me. My most recent visit (8/19), the woman on the phone was SO nice, I believe her name was Ashley. Sometimes it can feel silly to have your pet seen by a veterinarian as you know you may be overreacting or not have the right info.
Anyways, she listened to my concerns and offered a few options and was super transparent on pricing, the process, etc. I decided to just take her in and she accommodated me and said I was welcome to come in earlier than the time offered. I so appreciate her energy and kindness that day. My cat ended up being completely fine.
However, I felt like the vet tech wasn't fully attentive and I felt dismissed at times. My questions kept being forgotten ?
Another thing I will note, is one of my cat's previous visit for possible bleach ingestion. At the time, I was told in order to make an appointment for her incident, I had to call the animal poison control to determine if she needed treatment. It really sucked because that was a separate fee ($80) on top of the actual exam visit (about $200?) I'm sure there is some sort of policy in place, but it felt redundant because I had to go in anyway and I just spent more money that could've been avoided.
I'm not sure about regular visits, but as for after hours I believe it's $120, and after a certain time it's $180 or something like that.

Came here to euthanize my dog today. I was supposed to euthanize her yesterday at the humane society until I found out that humane society doesn’t allow you to sit in with your dog in their last moments… not very humane. I was heartbroken as I knew how tired she was. So my boyfriend and I went crazy looking for places to euthanize our baby girl and I called this place and they were able to fit us in the next day. My only vice is the girl who answered the phone yesterday. She asked me if I spayed my dog and I told her no I didn’t and she said ‘is that why she’s sick because you didn’t spay her’. I had her for 15 years. I’m literally on the phone asking to euthanize my dog after 15. Years. Way to go front desk for making me spiral down an even deeper hole. Especially with what I went through at the humane society that day. It was a rough Sunday.
The appointment was better. They didn’t rush me and gave me all the time I needed. I appreciated that. The techs and the front desk girl I spoke to today were very nice. I have no idea who spoke to me on the phone yesterday but maybe steer away from your thoughts and keep it to yourself.
This is an edit to my review,
It’s been two weeks and the staff sent me a condolence card. My boyfriend near damn cried again. Thank you to the amazing staff that dealt with me and my boyfriends tears ???. I didn’t expect such care with the way this team handled everything. Everything can’t be perfect and I understand but this place is the closest you’ll get to that. The BEST vet place. Thank you

Mostly the Drs are kind. Staff friendly. Warning do not take your pets there to put them down because they’re going to catheter them and put them through so much pain and discomfort. Ridiculous and cruel to watch especially since this was not my first time doing that. It’s always peaceful but not at this clinic.

What I love most about the Waipahu/Waikele Vet hospital is the compassion and dedication that the entire staff displays on a daily basis. They love animals and care for our pets, as if they were their own. Nice to be recognized by name, and even by our pet's names.
And the level of Vet care is unsurpassed anywhere. Well done.

Dr. Martin is truly heaven sent! I always have so much anxiety bringing my cats to the vet because I know they are stressed as well. She did an amazing job with my baby and showed so much care.

I LOVE this pet hospital we had to take 2 of our babies in for emergency and they were able to fit us in both times which im really grateful for they saves one of our furry babies from having a very high fever and shes doing very well now and the second one was in great care as well they treat them and handle them with care and take care of every concern you have you can trully tell they actually care for the animals here and want to help them i will always take them here from now on. It is a bit pricy when it comes to payment but its worth it when you know the babies are going to be healthy and taken care off. Thank you guys

I usually don't write reviews, but I wanted to share my wonderful experience with Waipahu Waikele Pet Hospital. Dr. Morikami and Dara are incredible when it comes to treating my puppy. My pup absolutely adores Dara every time we visit. She is always super friendly, genuine, and knows exactly how to handle my puppy to make him feel comfortable.
Dr. Morikami is exceptionally professional, providing us with everything we need to ensure our puppy's health. Even on visits when we didn’t have an appointment with Dr. Morikami or Dara, we were always greeted and treated with kindness and care. I truly feel like the staff really cares about my pet and is always accommodating to our requests. Thank you Waipahu Waikele Pet Hospital!

I decided to try this place because it was recommended, but unfortunately customer service and quality of service was not great. First off staff is nice but the vet tech who seen us came off as rude and didn't seem to care about concerns and rushed us. They charged me $80 for fecal sample and still have not been given results or told when they would, I fell like it was a scam. The vet visit is also $87 which seems ridiculous compared to other places. I wouldn't mind paying if I knew my pet was receiving good care but it was not great and will definitely not recommend or return.

I am very pleased in taking my dog to WWPH. From Kennel boarding to annual check ups. Dr Isa and staff are always kind and courteous on every visit. Even my dog is happy to go there.
