Never buy times grill steak, it's not even grilled, it's cooked in an oven, meat is as hard as rubber. Asked clerk about it , he's answer . I don't know I don't cook it. Lose money.

Shopping in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... Times Supermarket is a local grocery store chain. There are weekly ads that advertise specials - which is a big help! I personally like looking at authentic Japanese products, fresh flowers, and beautiful produce. This location also had items from the Philippines! I also saw Sanrio (Hello Kitty) cosmetics and really cute plushies! The New Years mochi and kadomatsu for good luck were available for everyone! The traditional merchandise is comforting! I like Times, but I prefer patronizing stores with loyalty programs. I'll go here if I need to... I appreciate that it's clean, well-lit, and organized!

Store is well stocked and clean inside. Employees are friendly. I went into get a poke bowl. Let's just say it's not Foodland poke. It's not the freshest, and the rice is very soggy. I would skip the furikake unless you like your food is super duper salty. The employees in the deli department were very polite and friendly. The front entrance sidewalk was really dirty. They need to pressure wash it. Inside the store it was very organized and clean. I don't think I would go back for poke again. This review it was left by someone that is a local resident that has lived here for a long time.

Stopped by for lunch been wanting my steak fix... missed how they used to do the BBQ thing in the parking lot. Well wasn't disappointed and the Customer Service was Awesome.... Steak was so tender cooked and seasoned perfectly. Also tried the Patele Stew and Mom had the Salmon and the Sushi Guy with his fresh samples was a bonus and his $5 Sushi Bentos Wed Specials! Everything was great and so worth the price! Will be trying out the rest of their menu for sure!?Can't believe I forgot pics? lol

I often find expired products on their shelves and moldy fruit. This location seems worse than others. Times Supermarket chain in general has a lower standard of excellence than other supermarkets like Safeway and Foodland. It's a shame. This Times is a perfect example of that from their dim lighting to products that are overdue to be pulled from the sales floor. I can look past having a smaller selection of items in general but moldy and expired foods is too much. It's a shame that management doesn't think Waipahu deserves better than this.

I needed to buy a rainbow ? birthday ? cake for my dad's birthday. I called and was told that they had a rainbow cake. I got there and the sales clerk in the bakery was friendly. He brought the cake out, and I was totally disappointed. The cake was so small and the price was completely outrageous!! Plus, no one was available at the time to write- "Happy Birthday Dad" for me.The sales clerk from the bakery was friendly, so was the Polynesian cashier. The manager/supervisor there was not so friendly. Especially when myself and mother tried to ask if there was ANYONE else who could help us with getting someone to write on the cake, and to get other items in the store. I was disappointed in the quality of the product and the manager/supervisor.Sad to say...I had to go to another store and found a better quality rainbow cake...(The round rainbow cake. I found that at the Waianae Store)

I've been a regular shopper at Time's Waipahu for almost 15 years, since moving to Waipahu when I was little. More recently, the customer service, general professionalism and management in this store has detoriated significantly. There is very little to no staffing, and I've encountered certain employees who harassed me over not wearing a mask. The store itself is very dated and unsanitary.I've overheard one customer complaining to one of the long-time produce department employees about the detoriated quality of customer service in this store. The long-time employee responded by saying that a lot of the other long-time employees either retired or move on with their careers. The parking is awful. A bunch of shoppers tend to leave their shopping carts in the parking lot, increasing the risk of parked cars getting severely damaged!!!The three (3) reverse osmosis water machines outside the store are not enough to meet the demand. I've always had to wait in a long line just to get water. The water machines often shortchange and/or provide less water than what I paid for. For instance, I would get about 4.5 gallons of water when I paid for a 5 gallon fill-up. Constantly going to the customer service to receive a voucher is such a hassle. There is always a long line with people who are sending money through Western Union, and a bunch of the employees are extremely slow.Whenever I walk towards the entrance of the store, I am almost always harassed with "Do you have your mask?" by a short female cart attendant, when I'm clearly putting my mask on already!!!On one weekend, my dad and I went grocery shopping. I walked out of the store with our empty 5 gallon bottle so I could fill it up at the water machine outside. We got our 5 gallon bottle from Walmart, and it looks completely different from the 5 gallon bottles Time's sells. Yet, the cashier shouts "excuse me, excuse me," under the impression that I'm stealing one of their 5 gallon bottles.During the beginning of a month, customers on welfare tend to visit this store to stock up on groceries, which makes the store more crowded in usual. Yet, there are only two cashiers, one regular, and one express, checking everyone out. There is no self-checkout, so I often had to wait as long as 30 minutes in the checkout line when I'm only purchasing a few items. There was one Friday where I'm trying to get into the "Express" checkout. The store manager had his cart in the way, but when he saw that I'm trying to get in line, he moved his cart in the wrong direction on purpose to allow another customer to get in front of me. I hope that manager is empowered by pissing me off when I'm simply doing my regular grocery errand and trying to make my errands efficient.A lot of the merchandise shown in the weekly ads are either not in stock, or are in some confusing location. I often had to spend at least half an hour looking for certain items that my family and I need as a result. The pork and beef have a lot of fat under it, which are unhealthy. As I said in the beginning of my review, I've been shopping at the Waipahu Time's location for almost 15 years. I live one mile from the Wiapahu location. However, I've been driving the extra distance lately to shop at the Time's Kunia location instead, thanks to the disloyalty, lack of customer service, unprofessionalism and mismanagement at the Waipahu location. The Waipahu store has really pushed my buttons. The Kunia location offers better parking, better variety of items, reverse osmosis faucets instead of outdoor water machines that shortchange, efficient checkout process, and way better customer service.

Although this Times is a little older, they do carry many items and sometimes have great sales. They also have different daily specialty items on their lunch menu. Today we went in for lunch. You can find their daily lunch menu on-line. Each Times location has different items that they prepare each day. One of my favorites is their sterling silver steak! I ordered their fried chicken wings which was crispy ans cooked well and I also picked up some poke which was also good. The employees at this location are always friendly and helpful. The gentleman that assisted me today at the poke counter had great customer service and was welcoming. He even cracked some jokes which made me laugh. The employees at the plate lunch counter were also friendly. They also have a lot of Asian goodies and local produce. I've been coming to this Times since I was a little girl and like coming here for my groceries when in the area or for lunch.

This is an old building, but there are enough parking around. The inside looks like it is still the same as in the past, never renovated. The prices seem to be lower than the ones in town.
