Lacoste headquarters should check the service level of this store's employees. The male employees were friendly, but especially the female employees who looked like managers were at a level where they shouldn't be working for money. Sighing at customers and not responding. Instead of smiling, he just frowns. This was the worst store I experienced while coming to Hawaii. It was a response to customers that made people dislike the Lacoste brand.

I visited the outlet twice and made a purchase.
The staff is unusually unfriendly, to the point of cursing.
They made a mistake and caused a problem, but you didn't even say an apology. Your problem caused a problem with our money. Why didn't you say an apology? When I said that, they just told me to get out of the store. I think I've never seen a store this unfriendly in Hawaii, or in the whole world. They don't respond when people go in, they're busy having fun with each other, and the male employee dresses like he's gay, his face is all dissatisfied, and the size of the clothes. If you ask them if they have it, they just say it doesn't exist. Then, if you look for it, you will find that size.
If you really want to have a bad experience while buying clothes, go for it. It really makes me angry. The expression on my face just shows that I have no intention of selling it.

The attitude of the store clerk was not particularly good and they kicked people out before closing time, but there were quite a lot of discounts on clothes.

Tried to do an exchange for items that were given me as a gift. The items were part of a combination promo. I wanted to exchange for same items in a size that fit and they refused to honor the promo combo insisting I pay the difference. The service was rude and the policy ridiculous.

I had bought something from the Ala Moana location...but wanted to return it at the Waikele location since I live closer to the west side. I am aware that the Ala Moana location is full price while the Waikele location is an outlet. For this reason, I called the waikele location prior just to be sure that I am able to return/exchange even though my original purchase was from a full line store. They said Yes. I walk in, was greeted, and a male either by the name of Michael or Sean (there's 2 names on my receipt) came to take in my request. I've already decided I just wanted to return and not exchange anything. I get that in retail, returns are less favored, so they try to pitch exchanging cash returning. I believe there's different ways to approach this and be successful. However, I was only asked "did you want to exchange this?" and my response was just "no". In retail, you should definitely know the difference between a close and open ended question.. a close ended question leads to a closed ended answer. Took maybe 2-3 minutes to complete the return. Just stood there while the gentleman keyed in stuff into the computer. After my receipts printed, he asks "did you try these on?", I said "at the ala Moana store I did, but I changed my mind". No response after that, followed by a throw to the back counter in which I couldn't help but feel a slight attitude that filled up the air. As I pondered away from the store, I couldn't help but continually feel a sense of shame. The employee, in conclusion, made me feel like my decision to return was wrong. I've worked in retail before, and I know customer experience is a top priority. Which is why I'm writing this review. To express my feelings. I would think, that with stores re-opening after this coronavirus, customer focus would be a huge thing. But I guess not. To some, I, the customer, is just a number. I get it, business is all money at the end of the day. But I've been a loyal Lacoste shopper for years, and I've never experienced this before. Maybe he was having a bad day? Maybe his store YTD sales are in the negative? Whatever the reason is...no one should walk out of a store feeling shameful. I've been a store manager before, back of house manager, and it is not hard. It's only hard if you think it's hard. So here is my advice to you: if you don't like fashion retail, quit. There's many other jobs and areas of the work life you can explore! Just know that...no matter what industry you end up in, each business, company, LLC, corporation, etc are all doing one thing...selling something for profit. There will always be people who buy, exchange, and return....so learn how to deal with it. Mahalo.
