“Burt and Rory are very knowledgeable. They recommended a great RC for my eight year old son. He has had hours of enjoyment with it. It was the perfect RC for him without breaking the bank. I will definitely go back and see them again when I'm ready to upgrade.”
“Welcoming place for all levels of R/C enthusiasts with friendly staff and a good selection of replacement/aftermarket products in addition to the many RTR vehicles they have to offer. A great place to visit if you wish to speak to knowledgeable hobbyists. Ohana is where my friends and I semi-regularly go to for our R/C needs and questions as we are still relatively new to the hobby ourselves. The only reason why I chose to rate four stars instead of five is due to a recent visit to the store. Over a span of a few months, we've purchased Lectron Pro 2S batteries and Lectron AC-DC chargers in-store. The batteries and chargers have all performed flawlessly, except our most recent purchase of a brand-new Lectron 2S battery. Once we were home, we plugged in the battery to charge it, but an error message appeared on our charger. We repeated the process with the other Lectron batteries we had, and the charger worked perfectly fine, so we believed the battery was at fault. We returned to the shop a few days later and explained the issue to them. When they tested the battery for us, they found that it only held a 1% charge out of the box, whereas it's other factory-new counterparts come stored with higher percentages for the battery's health, much like the exact same Lectron 2S batteries we had purchased from them in the past. This was the reason why the charger wouldn't read the battery terminals; there wasn't enough power stored in the battery from the factory to initiate a charge cycle. However, the two gentlemen insisted that we had been playing with the battery in our R/C trucks, and were extremely adamant that Ohana R/C doesn't sell batteries with 1% charges out-of-the-box, when in fact we received a faulty brand-new battery. We simply believe that, from a professional standpoint, the Ohana staff could have at least considered that they POTENTIALLY sold us a bad battery instead of jumping straight to the conclusion that we had wrongly used the battery and accusing us of doing so. My friends and I completely understand that batteries have an all-sales-final policy at Ohana, and completely agree with that policy wholeheartedly given the usage of R/C batteries. No company can guarantee a 100% success rate with each product that leaves the factory, and we received a faulty battery from Lectron/Common Sense RC that just so happened to be on the shelf of Ohana's store. We were not seeking to return or exchange the battery due to Ohana's policy, we simply wanted some pointers and tips in the right direction for some help with our issue, but were immediately met with false accusations. It was this short exchange we had with the Ohana staff that left us slightly frustrated with their customer service aspect. It's NOT Ohana's fault that the battery was faulty, it's the rude way they handled the situation that left us dissatisfied.Nevertheless, the Ohana staff were extremely helpful in resolving our battery issue in-store by charging it at their charging station to allow enough power to be restored for our charger to be able to read the battery, and they helped with hooking up the battery to our personal charger to ensure our battery would work for us in the future. We will definitely continue to support them as we still believe they're one of Oahu's best hobby-grade R/C dealers who offer great help and products. We appreciate the staff and all that they do for the R/C community in Hawaii, and although we may have had a slightly unpleasant experience this time, we will continue to support their business regularly and happily.”
“Dragons Lair is an absolute institution in Mililani, and despite recently moving an hour away I still make the drive to check it out. Luke and Catie are both incredibly helpful and are awesome people to talk to.The vibe is relaxed and there’s some communities for table top gaming around! Warhammer 40K, Magic The Gathering, it’s all sweet! Their selection of comics, volumes, cards, and collectibles are great and the prices are always worth the visit.Honestly just be chill and don’t be disrespectful, it’s a chill place!”
“It's a great place for all your miniatures war game and TCG needs. Prices are some of the best on the island, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. All and all great place to get some games in or chill and paint some minis”
“This place is awesome, gotta be the best place for Gunpla on the island. Small shop with lots of kits, tools, and accessories for all at reasonable prices. Especially tools, since I saw so many tools that I couldn't find in other places or they're super marked up online. Derron was super helpful and went to great lengths in finding a hobby knife for me. Would definitely come here again for all my Gunpla needs.”
“The best collector shop on the island. This place is packed to the brim with toys, comics and more. They actually had a ghostbusters hot wheels ecto but we decided not to buy it because our 3 year old would want to open it. We ended up buying a peter venkman funko for him to play with. The owner is really friendly and helped us navigate our stroller in his tight shop.”
“Great selection of Pokemon cards. Super friendly staff! Absolutely will be shopping here again. Excellent prices. Check them out if you've got kids who are into Pokemon.”
“An awesome game store for Warhammer, Magic, Pokemon, and YuGiOh. I was especially impressed by their selection of historicals, including Bolt Action, Flames of War, and even some Napoleonics! They've got comics and RPGs too if that floats your boat.”
“The Hobby Company is a awesome hobby shop with great customer that can meet everyone’s needs. The model rocket section is superior to most other stores I’ve visited in the last decade and Joe was a huge help in getting my son’s science project off of the ground—literally! He even went above and beyond and met us at the launch site—many thanks Joe! I definitely recommend a visit and I will continue to shop at The Hobby Company while residing on Oahu.K. French”
“Cool store with a large variety of flags, patches, and pins. The store owner was awesome as well, very personable and knowledgeable. They offer military discount as well ?”

My son recently got into collecting Pokémon cards, and saw my collection neatly in a binder, so naturally, he wanted to do the same. I stopped at Long's and walmart looking for the plastic card protectors, they werebout of stock at both places! Ugh! Since I was in the area, I stopped in thinking they might have some, but they didn't either. I ended up ordering from Amazon. Anyway, long story short... Such an interesting place to end up in on Black Friday. But I'm glad I did! Mostly everything was 50% off! I ended up with 6 packs of Pokémon cards (4 of which were Japanese packs) for only $16!! What a deal! Still, their prices are good. So I'll be back for more when my son is ready to expand his Pokémon card collection. Yay!”
“Sarah, Bonnie, and Daniel were awesome. Pointed out the best deal and made sure I was going to get a console that would not work put for my sons. They madey families Christmas It is for service like this I would rather come to the location then shop Amazon.. Thank you, Gamestop Kapolei”
“This place is a gem. The owner is a good person, and really helped me with my deck build. I don't want to blow this place up, but dudes gotta get a positive acknowledgement. Can't wait to go back.”
