Great store with the freshest produce. Two entrances. The elevator that opens into the store has no shopping baskets any more. Why? Also at the checkout there is no place to put your empty basket. So you have to walk all the way to the entrance to put it away. You can do better.

Excellent products and service. If you become a Amazon Prime member you will save a ton of money on the sale items. Plus you can use Prime Video for free. There's a bunch of movies and TV shows that you can stream as well as download to view later off-line. Their personal shopper service is outstanding !!! Very friendly and helpful staff.

Can't believe Whole Foods has been in Kahala Mall for over ten years. Are people still sad Star Market is gone and mad that Whole Foods was the replacement? I miss Star Market! This is the first Whole Foods opened on Oahu, and the space it took over isn't very big, so it feels pretty cramped inside and the variety of meats, produce, and other products can't compare with the other, much larger size Whole Foods on the island. Often, you'll find certain items totally out because there's a lack of space to display them and they don't restock quickly. It has been a slow process to accept Whole Foods as a place for my grocery needs, but ever since Amazon purchased Whole Foods, the prices have been coming down for several of its items. At first, I just purchased bananas and a few other items here and there, but during my recent visits, I've noticed more and more great deals in the grocery section at prices that are even better than the on sale prices at Foodland, Times, and Safeway. Some prices are even equivalent to Chinatown! Now it's not many items, maybe around 6-8 items, but still better than before. If I had Amazon Prime, that number would be higher, but I don't! Overall, Whole Foods is slowly becoming a once a week visit just for a few items, but there were occasions where they were out of what I needed. I only come here out of convenience, but I'd rather much go to the Kaka'ako location for a much better shopping experience. Coming here can be a headache because parking can be difficult. The staff here aren't friendly, and they're silent, and emotionless. The cashiers don't say much, just scan, scan, and tell you the total. If they do say something, it's totally fake and forced. On several occasions, I got the same treatment, and while I was counting my cash or signing the machine, the cashier suddenly blurred out, "how is your day?!" like they forgot to ask. After I say, "it's fine," the receipt comes out one second after, and I get a forced, fake "thank you" immediately.

A very small whole foods with a limited selection. The slices of pizza I grabed for lunch we're just fair at best. Lots of staff around and very helpful quick checkout line and great Amazon prime discounts.

Went here tonight and placed an order on hold. I was asked to go to the customer service team so they can help me with my item I placed on hold. Experience was not what I expected. I literally seen them cater more to the workers who were getting rung out. When one of the workers was done she never acknowledge and walked away which her name was darci. Then Thomas looked angry and hand no personality what's so ever. Which kinda irritated me. However there is one worker who was more helpful and help bring out the items. If it wasn't for their location carrying the items I wanted to purchase I would have loved to go to the ward location. Was the $$$$ worth it for the items?! Yes!!! I spent over a $100 but service was crappy and needs improvement.

Update: not sure I've ever been so disappointed in anything from Whole Foods as I am tonight eating their mochi. The strawberry rhubarb flavored ice cream was awesome, but the outer mochi was stiff and crumbly. We let it sit a few minutes before consuming, as one properly eats this dessert. I slurped the ice cream out and tossed the outer shell away. The green tea Mochi had a better texture but the flavor was bleh! We are huge fans on Bubbie's green tea, and this one isn't even in the same playing field. I hate to say this but it tasted fishy. Shout out to the two guys working the seafood area last night. They're so helpful, quick and they make some absolutely amazing fish. I tried the kajiki and the swordfish. They cooked it with olive, salt, pepper, and garlic (I think). It always turns out so much better when they prepare it than when I attempt the same at home. They're friendly, patient with my indecision, and smiley. They make trying to find parking at Kahala Whole Foods at 7pm worth the struggle. This Whole Foods is good but not as big as many. They carry some random beers but I wish more of their beer case was devoted to craft brews. I was recently happy to discover their selection of non-cows milk cheese for us lactose intolerant souls. And haloumi from Cyprus?!? Yesssss - thank you Whole Foods! The lines are long but often move quickly, especially the lines with the 6 item maximum where they have four cashiers. The registers are set up too close to the aisles and it makes walking around the perimeter of the store more of a dodging bob-and-weave game. Anywho, it's Whole Foods. You know you can expect quality and good practices here, even if it is more a bit more expensive.

This was a welcomed sight after visiting a few "local" grocery stores and realizing that they were still in the mentality of 500% markup on everything. Just needing essentials, and being from mainland - where WholeFoods is generally excessively more expensive than other options, I was shocked to find $0.99 Gallon of water where it was $7.00 at Times Grocery. Reasonably priced essentials was pleasantly surprising! Thank you for great service and meeting expectations.

This is my go to Whole Foods regardless of the new location opening I have been coming here for years If you are picky about parking like I am it can be a challenge especially during peak times and on the weekends Pricing here is fair as expected for a Whole Foods on an island in the Kahala area Favorite part of this place is the ready to eat food and the counters to order food and pastries and drinks Although there are many lines and long lines they are moving as Whole Foods tends to staff very well especially at the registers Fruit is abundant here but it must be in season and if there is a sale buy it up

Healthy option for someone on a keto diet.....No not me, I'm pregnant. So my fambam searched around and decided on Whole Foods food section to have lunch. The Kahala location is much smaller compared to Ward. My son settled for pizza (self-serve), and hubby made a plate $9.99/lb no carbs. As for me and my bun in the oven, I chose to make myself a parfait. Greek plain yogurt, meh. Of course it's not going to be sweet. Just top it off with lots of fruit and bam. Wait, where is the granola!? No granola!? After I already started my plate. Ugh, the audacity. Aside from that inconvenience, the food section worker was kind as this was our first time actually making our self a plate. At first we didn't know where to begin and I was confused as to where I was going to put my parfait. So I put it in one of the smaller plates they had aside.

Overcharged! Last night. Be careful when you check out. The cashier chatted me up so much, I didn't notice he charged me for two of an item that I only bought one of until after I got home. Pardon the dangling preposition, but I'm angry. Have I been overcharged in the past? Who knows? Whole Foods has already been exposed as tinkering with tare weights to their advantage. Is overcharging their new method of making easy money for their headquarters in Texas? Now how do I go back and prove I only had one item but got charged for two? Do I have to take pictures of everything I put on the belt when I check out from now on? Seriously? But the local options dwindle. As I already stated, Umeke and Kale markets are gone. Kokua Market is on its last legs, if it hasn't already gone under. I've given up on their promises to restock. Hasn't happened. Down to Earth doesn't sell brands I prefer because of the horror of ova, eggs. All that's left is Whole Foods. Monopolies suck. BTW, their women's rest room is horribly dirty. Ugh.

Kahala locale is always busy and while it does not have the glitz of the newer Kakaako store it is still an enjoyable shopping experience. Organized , clean & well-stocked shelves...what one wants from a grocery store. Prices are good and cashiers are always polite. Hot bar offers a nice range of foods - not to the extent of the Kakaako location but it is more than fine. I am still a meat consumer - so the selection of meat and poultry is a welcome sight.

Oh man. It has been a while since I came to Whole Foods at this particular location. I stopped in for a quick lunch and it changed since the last time I've been here. I particularly come here for the self-serve food bar, not so much on the groceries. Food: I always go to the self-serve food bar and soup area. The difference from the last time to the current changes are the variation of food options, changes in their menu, and bigger refrigerator for their cold drinks, desserts, and pre-made salads. The changes are better and greater. I was surprised to see that Whole Foods made changes. Prices: Like the usual, food is weighed by the pound. With the new changes, I have to come back to see if they made any changes on their breakfast menu as well.

This place is really well organized and I love the variety of food that this place offers. There are so many different kinds of hot foods and so many fresh desserts as well! I personally get their baked chicken and their string beans. Since the last time I have been here there has been many changes to the floor layout and the change has made the place look a lot better. Experience: The workers here are really friendly and this place is very well kept. It looks spotless and very inviting. I will definitely come back here again.

Stopped in for a fast lunch. Luckily as I approached the counter no one was there. Then 4 more customers came right behind me, it would have been a long wait, lol. I'm ordering from the counter made to order sandwiches. Turkey, bacon, and avocado $10.00. One of my favorites there. Everything fresh with crispy bacon and firm avocado. So delicious. The Grill Cheese Sandwich which I shared. The whole grain bread with cheddar cheese. One of the best for only $4.00. So heavy and filling and very tasty. If I'm in the area, this is my go to place for a quick and mighty tasty lunch.
