My experience here was disappointing. I only wanted a simple haircut but ended up being charged for a "designer style" that I did not ask for. Service total was $55 for a haircut?!?!! The menu said $37 for haircut with layers. Do not go here. They will scam you and charge you for a service you did not ask for.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Do not go to the fantastic Sam’s in Waipahu. I went to get my hair washed and cut so I decided to let them do my son’s hair at the same time. They told us that it was going to be $80 dollars to wash and detangle my son’s hair. It was one guy and a lady that he was training detangling his hair. I walked over several times because it was taking so long. I seen them lightly picking through his hair to the point I wanted to take the comb and help them. 2 hrs went by and we go to the register to pay. They tell me it’s $256. I’m asking them why and they tell us it’s $80 hour for each person and it was 2 ppl so it makes it $160 per hour. The total still wasn’t adding up correctly. Regardless if they would have told us that from the jump we would have not let them detangle his hair. A complete scam!!

I called ahead of time asking for a shampoo, blow out and asked to pin up the curls so it can hold longer until we're ready to take it down. They said yes and we booked the appointment for 11am we arrived at 10:45am and the lady Norma I spoke with and had the appointment with had someone in the chair. They took my daughter back back at 11:15am they brushed out her hair and then came up to me and said $90 only for "up do" and that her hair was too long and so much. And I was already in a time crunch because we had a make up appointment right after. I told them $90? You guys took her back late and what I want you guys can't even do to the full extent. There was no backing out and we were running behind schedule. The manager brought the price down to $80.00 any "up do" should include HAIR SPRAY!! They were not doing it at all, my daughter got out the chair and I asked did they hair spray your hair she said no they didn't. I had to ASK THEM TO DO IT!!!! They did it but by then it was just the top layers getting hair spray. We paid as agreed but we did not leave tip. While waiting, I did notice one client called ahead for an appointment ended up waiting 5-10mins finally got a seat with a stylist and then they could not fill her expectations and that client left. We have done business with them before for hair cuts and flat iron/style I have never been charged $90 for both services done in the same appointment for my daughter.

Best fantastic Sams on the island! coming here for almost a year and never walkout disappointed. The prices in the store are super reasonable, and affordable. overall love the worker and super glad I came across this fantastic Sams. Highly recommend if you want a clean cut!

Let me say I am a mixture of Hawaiian, Portuguese. My natural hair is all kinds of thick, frizzy and curly. Wei (pronounced weigh) did an amazing job. I love her input on what I should do, and she really listened to how I want my hair cut. And she executed the style to the T. Thank you Wei for an amazing job. Hairstylist Wei.... She is wonderful.

A very long time. I came and asked how long to wait for a haircut, they said 15-20 minutes. An hour later my patience ran out and I left. Late for work now.

Service is quick This is where I bring my mom for her hair cut and she has been through almost half of the stylist and walks out of there satisfied with what she ask for. Quality work and the stylist are very welcoming.

This is my third visit to this salon. I always request Fred because he is excellent! He's super chill but very professional and talented. I leave feeling like a goddess! Mahalo nui!

Glen is the greatest. Hands down.I have been going to Glen for the last 5 years and he has never let me down. If he cannot take me on my first request time and day (and sometimes I want to come in that day) he is always accommodating and is willing to squeeze me in as needed. His cuts are always perfect and gives me good advice on hair products and cuts (hard line advice was on point) I may like because of how my hair lies.His vibe is always kind, respectful, and chill.Just a day ago he did a 6 hour cut and blue black color for my wife. All I can say is that we are both very happy with the way it turned out. It's beautifully done and exactly what she wanted. She enjoyed his patience and extra attention to detail. He also gave solid advice to her about aftercare and explained each step of the process so she felt very comfortable. She felt he was very knowledgeable too so it raised her level of confidence in him.So what I'm trying to say is , if you have a regular dude haircut or a full on cut and color in mind , please go see Glen at this location. You will not be disappointed.I am a lifetime customer of Glen for sure.

Aside from doing a great job, This place charged my son who is only 11yrs old Adult Price and for a line $10 Total $46. didnt realize all fantastic sams prices are different. Sooo if your child is 10 yrs and older, just an FYI they WILL charge your CHILD as adult....my SON isnt in his TEENS and he was charged as an ADULT.

I took my son in for a kids cut, and it's pretty bad. For $28 I'd hope they'd at least blend it but the poor kid looks like he has a bowl cut.
