I want to bring your attention to the "broasted chicken " I often purchase this chx because it is very delicious & economical, so I always recommend it to my friends. Lately the chicken is very salty & overcooked, especially the wings & legs, due to the pieces are smaller than the thighs & breasts. Please look into this problem. We ride the Skyline & will stop @ Don Quixote to do shopping, too!

I do not recommend this store. If you are a non-Filipino the staff there is very rude. It's hard to get help and the service workers sit there and talk about you while you're still there. Worst experience I ever had I would never come back.

This is the kind of place where the stalls in the Men's room have a sliding barrel bolt for the door because the original sliding lock has broken off. And people who use the stall don't flush. And the toilet seat cover holder has been overstuffed so it is impossible to take out a flimsy paper cover without ripping it to shreds. And when you place the seat cover on the seat you discover that the seat was wet. And the floor around the toilet is a little wet as well. And the hand wash sinks are dirty from years of negligent cleaning. It is a place where signs have words spelled incorrectly. You may be a little bewildered because although wares are located in the same aisle as other items, many times, items of the same brand are displayed based more on where there was a convenient space on the shelf rather adjacent to other items of the same brand. But if you overlook these faults, you may be able to find a bargain, or at least goods which are less expensive than at other stores. For example, Hawaiian Sun and Aloha Maid juice cans are sold in six-packs so you would think that all the Aloha Maid flavors would be together but a couple flavors are mixed in with the Hawaiian Sun juices.

Takeout Dinner in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... I don't know Waipahu well... so, when I told my friend that I wanted to bring dinner over to my auntie and cousin who live in the 96797, she suggested that I get bentos from Don Quijote. I thought: great idea! I remembered that my other cousin used to go later on in the day and get discounted bentos. I was hoping for that discount! Finding free parking near the entrance was a good start. I had been here a while ago and knew that there's a food court to the right and the cashiers are near to that area, too. I looked around at the Sanrio merchandise, t-shirts, personal care products, bakery items, and produce before the salads, sandwiches, and bentos. I skipped the household department and the rest of this mega store... I was happy to see the orange stickers on the bentos! $1.50 off of the shrimp tempura bowl and $2 off of the miso butterfish bento was better than nothing to me! My auntie and cousin were happy to get some dinner... and I was happy that they were happy! I'll be back again for other items like the Year of the Dragon 2024 t-shirts!

As far as grocery stores, or super markets, go - this Don Quijote is awesome. It's huge inside with so much to choose from. I was overwhelmed the first time I went but now I love it. Lots of different foods to choose from, fresh produce, a little food court, Japanese gifts, souvenirs, you name it. Everything was fresh and the shelves were all stocked. The workers are all friendly. The prices are great too!

If they tear this place to the ground, take me with it and bury me under the big donki sign, holding hands with the penguin. Donki my beloved and only place I can get groceries from easily <3

What a difference location makes... I was in the area and decided to give this place a visit since it's been many many years ago probably since they had the dollar section and wasn't sure if we came here to shop or dine at the food court...both lol! Well a lot has changed and the food court is still here though it seems like it went through a lot and though there's no dollar section they did have some 1.99 area and in comparison with the town location which has the Hawaii omiyage section front and center versus the massive Gundam section that if they didn't know would think they walked into an anime shop instead of a grocery store...granted the Kaheka location has it as well it was just a different vibe here along with a section for smartphone accessory which was quite impressive almost like the ones in Japan which was much more massive. What was disappointing is that they did carry and didn't carry some items that I was looking for and was hoping to avoid going to the town location since I was already here, browsing here is much easier as the aisles are much wider and very easy to navigate along with friendly staff makes it great to be back here and to see it so vibrant is great. Thank you!

Who would have thought that I would find the best tripe stew here at the Waipahu Don Quijote! Yes, you heard that correctly. In the heart of Waipahu town in the section that offers you hot takeout items, my favorite (acquired taste) tripe stew. Some also call it menudo. I was raised with my mom cooking this, and although it stunk while she boiled it, I've grown to love it. Probably not the healthiest, so it's a once in a while treat. And...like most places do, this place doesn't skimp on the tripe. It's filled to the brim with lots and lots of tripe that will melt in your mouth. Make sure to go in the morning, since it seems to sell out quickly. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

I literally got lost in the Donki, it's so big. There's so much to buy, from local Hawaiian goodies and souvenirs, to items I've only ever seen in Japan. If you're looking for cool souvenirs, go to the Donki. They have branded Hawaii items and you bet I picked up a Donki Hawaii tote bag. Prices were fair and much cheaper than the ABC store.

Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo... As a former employee of Donki-pearl city store, I wanted to order 5 Rainbow Cakes... for 11th of Nov... But Aggie was on Vacation. I spoke to Gail Diniega, PC,,Mgr..she called Waipahu store Bakery.. spoke to Ana. Placed the order for me. PERFECT! All I had to do was inform my mom, to p/u the cakes from Waipahu store Bakery, and pay. Bring a cart w/ u into the store. Mom arrived at Customer Svs. But was forward to the Bakery Dept. Anna, Evangeline, and the male "supervisor". They KNEW about my moms order.it was READY! they helped her to the car, unloaded the cakes, And they took the cart & the boxes back. My mom REALLY appreciated the awesome service. Sorry to see ur store close, after all these years at Waipahu. I am hoping Donki will thrive in Kapolei. Just dont be open 24hrs.. close at 10pm Or 11pm.safety for ur loyal employees. U guys will catch the Campbell Industrial Park guys... Advertise at Tokai University, for Japanese employees?? Just a thought I might go back to Donki-Kaheka store, since I live in town. (Closer to home) Norine I.

Sad to say that the tako onion poke had 0 onions and 100% salt. I can't even taste the tako!!! Can you please make poke like you care a little! I just paid $15.74 for Salt Tako!!!! This tastes like they marinated in salt and shoyu! Disappointed and may not trust this again

I really like shopping at Donki because of their great grocery selection (reasonable and butchers are very helpful!), but I discovered something today that will send me solely back to the Pearl City store. I intended to buy a sports bra here (don't laugh - in a pinch) so put it in the cart to check out. Right before checking out, I noticed it was $9.99 - yikes! Donki in Pearl City sells the EXACT same one for $6.99. Nothing fancy at all, no name brand, just comfy for stay at home style, but the $3 difference made me put it back. Hope the GM reads this and either provide an explosion or makes it pono. Gonna miss this Donki, though, when it closes...
