My fiancé and I purchased a CX-5 Carbon Edition last Saturday from Justice(young local Bradah) and the experience was great. Justice was new but his manager Shane kept checking in and made sure we had answers to all our questions.. I had done lots of research online after my last visit to the Honolulu location was disappointing. My research led me to this location as the had the car I was looking for.Was night and day difference from our prior weekend visiting the Mazda Honolulu location. We were ready to buy when we visited the Honolulu location which had much more inventory but were met with very friendly but less than knowledgeable staff. They could not answer questions like what is the difference in trim packages which as it turns out are few and their job to know. We had to sit and wait across from him while he google searched trim differences then still his best answer was to go test drive cars till we found the one. That combined with the fact that the salesmen dressing like a million dollars is a big turn off to me. Embodies my mental image of a sleazy car salesman and not to be trusted. If these guys had it together they could have located the car we bought in Waipahu and would have bought from them that same day.

I returned my Mazda lease in March of 2023 to the team at Cutter Mazda Waipahu. They sold that car to someone else later but never took me off the title (I was listed as a co-lessee, not an owner, so I was not able to do it myself) or re-registered it to the new owner, and that new owner then proceeded to run 5 red lights that were caught on camera in June/July and ticketed in MY name, since Cutter Mazda never took me off the title. They asked me to bring the tickets in person to their office (an hour away from my house), which I did... only to find out a few weeks ago that they never resolved any of those tickets. Now I have 3 fines due in MY name and if they arenʻt paid on time, they will send it to collections. When I called Cutter Mazda again about the fines, they told me to scan the tickets and email them. I did that immediately and got no response, no verification of receipt. I followed up two more times between sending the scans and the first deadline for payment (today), with no response from anyone until today, and they are now saying they didnʻt get the scans.I am incredibly disappointed by the lack of follow-through in every single step of the process of returning my lease, and now my credit is at risk of it. This has been a major hassle and a big source of stress for me... 8 months later and a stranger is driving the car all over Honolulu with it still registered in my name? How is that even legal to sell the car but not re-register it? I am so glad I didnʻt lease or buy another Mazda from these guys. I went to the Cutter Mazda in Honolulu for 9 years and never had a single issue with service or sales there.

Sales department is excellent. They are responsive and attempt to assist you when possible. The service team on the other hand has been a joke and it has made me regret ever buying a vehicle here. At this point, I wish I never bought the Mazda. The sales team sold me a "new" vehicle with a dent in it. Signing paperwork that it would be fixed within 30 days. It has been 31 days and I still do not even have an appointment. I am aware of the parts shortage and issue in servicing vehicles in America. I do not expect my vehicle to be fixed immediately and suspect parts must be ordered. The main issue is their lack of communication - the service team made no attempt to contact me regarding the damage and I have to initiate all contact with them - the do not call or update me. Additionally, I make an appointment 2 weeks out, instead of contacting me to request the documents they need to continue, they decide to wait until the day before the appointment - wherein I contact them, as always - stating they need pictures and documents to send to the body shop before ever having the appointment. I wish I never bought a Mazda and if I had the option to undo this sale I would. Worst experience of my life.

Outstanding service with exceptional care for my Ohana is what Makana Piilani provided when we needed a newer and more roomier vehicle at Cutter Mazda Waipahu. Makana was very patient, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with from the beginning and to the end of our new car buying experience. I highly recommend asking for Makana Piilani for your new and used vehicle purchasing needs. Also a big thanks to the assistant sales manager and finance manage too! This is why I'm an extremely satisfied customer and made 3 separate purchases for a new Mazda vehicle.

This review is an update to a review I posted previously about the awful service I received on August 23, 2023. After trying to get ahold of someone for almost the whole day to voice my complaint to I finally receive a call from a general manager after posting a review within 5 mins. I explain to him that the service video I recieved from your service department and what i am seeing under my hood doesn't add up. (Red flags). I reviewed it over and over before returning that same day to address this concern with the service department to which they had no explanation. I explain to this general manager that in this video sent by your service department shows that my fluids are topped off before I even approve any services but when I look under my hood my fluids are at a non visible low level. He says that they do this as a courtesy to all their customers that come here that get their car serviced and that they did it at no charge to me. I tell him my fluids were never topped off when I picked my car up from your service department. I had returned that same day to point this out to the staff and let them look under the hood themselves were they saw my fluid level was not topped off. Not adding up to their video. I had witnesses there to see this too. I have videos to prove this as well. After going back and forth and explaining over and over again to this general manager that their service video is a lie, and conflicting and it makes me feel that they never serviced my car I tell him I want a refund. He goes on and on to mention other people and trying to use examples of "what if this" and "what if that" to which it just becomes non sense. He tells me he can't refund me because they serviced my car. How? This video shows me nothing. Doesn't show me that you guys worked on and completed the services I had paid for. Then I tell him he clearly doesn't understand and I will take this complaint and these videos to BBB where he then tells me he will cut me a check and it will be ready by tomorrow and that he will contact me when it is available. The next day I reach out to him to let me know when the refund will be available and he later calls me to say that the check is not available yet but he will let me know but in the mean time could I remove the review?I'm shocked! Because he tells me, that's what you wanted correct, a refund?! I asked for my refund so i could take my car to be serviced by a place that i could trust. Later, I send a text to him about this stating that due to the inconvenience you, the service department and other cutter offices caused me yesterday, there is no reason for you to hold my rightful refund due to my review. My review expressed my honest experience of the awful service I received. This isn't a trade-off. My refund for my review. Fast forward to when I go to pick up my refund and I later see that my refund says, refund for repairs completed on. I know this general manager wants to try and throw in his tiny jabs but, I stand by my videos and by those who witnessed this with me that what they did was wrong and how this general manager handled it is beyond embarrassing. Just to be clear, services was not done and the video that this service department sent to me shows me nothing but also reveals all the red flags that caught my attention. People do not send your cars to this service department, if you must, then be sure to review these videos that they send you. Review them over and over again. Ask for the time stamps and have them show you videos of the services you pay to have done. If you ever encounter this problem like I have and no one wants to reach out to you or return your call, post your complaints in a review you will be heard.

Disgusting customer service. The "manager" Matt yelled at ME, when this entire dealership RUINED my car. I was just there in May and spent hundreds of dollars to get my horn fixed and they supposedly "checked everything", sent an email with things for me to fix. They NEVER mentioned anything about my coolant being EMPTY or my engine. Yesterday my engine seized while driving and it was VERY DANGEROUS. Mazda did NOT do anything to help or give me any of my money back. Matt hung up on me and was super disrespectful. This is how you treat customers??? They also NEVER answer the phone. If you have a problem with your car, they blame you the whole time. Meanwhile I PAY THEM TO CHECK IT AND MAKE SURE IT'S OK. THEN MY CAR STOPS in the middle of the road and now the car will never start again. It's DONE.I'm telling all my friends and everyone I know to get a TOYOTA instead. Mazda is super rude, and they do NOT care about you or your car. The manager even said "if someone eats a burger and then gets sick a week later are you going to give them their money back?". UMM YES??? What kind of question even is that??? As a good restaurant owner, YES you SHOULD give them their money back if they get sick after eating your food. This comparison Matt gave just PROVES how much they DO NOT CARE. Very disrespectful and I highly do NOT recommend buying a car from this brand/company. NOW I HAVE TO BUY A NEW CAR AND MAZDA DIDN'T OFFER TO REPLACE THE ENGINE FOR FREE OR GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK FOR THE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS I SPENT THERE IN MAY. SHAME ON THEM.I WILL BE BUYING A TOYOTA INSTEAD BECAUSE THEY HAVE CARS THAT ACTUALLY WORK AND HAVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Really liked the experience at Cutter Waipahu, I worked with GM SHane to help select a vehicle and even though I came in for a Terrain AT it was apparent that once I saw the Denali that would be the best choice. Sales person Matt took me on a test drive and helped secure a fair trade in for my old vehicle. Finance explains all the options with no pressure, I highly recommend this dealership.

Don't go to this Mazda Waipahu service dealership as they do not care about f*cking over their clients, horribly unorganized (who uses a binder anymore) an very unprofessional service. Took my car to get a small fix up. They call to say our car is finished, ordered Uber to get down and get here and they say they are holding the car from us because the other company didn't pay their half (even tho they got a work order authorization approved) the amount was not even a lot to allow this torturing and making customers jump through painful hoops, but I paid my half and now I'm late for work and need to order another Uber?! and now I can not make my morning job the next day. I paid our half why am I being screwed over. My car is being held hostage to no fault of mine.. It shouldn't be my fault on needing to scramble and possibly lose my job. It should be on y'all to go get your money order finished. Some customer service this place has LOL. Definitely the worse Mazda place to go, from 160$ hold off to now losing 4 Mazda customers place is JOKES. Toyota would never

I purchased a used car from the team here. Everyone treated me like family and was very patient and helpful. A big shout out to Shane and Matt for finding me the perfect vehicle within my price range. Also, thanks to Troy, for getting my payments down. Mahalo Niu loa!

If you need a car and are looking for honest service, go to Sean. When I tell you I went in there nervous because I've never walked into a dealership alone! This man made me feel welcome and like family. I went on a Saturday, was welcomed in and Sean was friendly and understanding. Went the following Thursday to just test drive and before I could sit in a 30k car they had, he told me another one was brought in 2 hours prior that was 21k, just detailed, and was the make, model and year range I wanted. Its like God dropped that car off for me. Best service I've gotten.

Just bought a used 2017 Mazda 6. Ashley, the salesperson was excellent. She cared about my needs and communicated clearly so there were no surprises later. After only a couple weeks owning the car there was a problem with the a/c. I contacted Ashley, and she wasted no time getting me scheduled into the service center and arranging a rental. They picked up the tab for the repair and rental, being I only had the car a couple weeks, which I think most of us would agree is what they should have done as a high standard of customer service. I’m honored to be their customer. Professional. Personal. Perfect.

While we love the new car we purchased from Cutter Mazda Waipahu, we had a horrible experience at this particular dealership on the day that we picked up our car. Unfortunately, the experience totally soured the excitement of purchasing a new car! We spent 4 hours at the dealership - a total waste of our time. 1. Upon arrival at our scheduled time, we were told that our salesperson was with another client. (In the entire four hours that we were there, our original salesperson did not appear, so it was obvious he wasn't with another client, he simply wasn't there. Why lie to us? Just be honest and say he wasn't there and someone else would help us.) 2. The Assistant Sales Manager told us we could go and take the car for a drive. We asked him to show us some of the features of the vehicle. It was obvious he didn't know the features and then admitted that he usually doesn't do that. Shouldn't the Assistant Sales Manager be able to explain the features of a car that he is selling? 3. A salesperson went through the paperwork with us. The paperwork was incorrect (overcharging us). Thankfully, we had the receipt to show how much we had put down as a deposit. 4. Waited while the car was filled with gas and washed. The original text said that it would be detailed prior to our arrival. Finally, after going over all of the features of the car with the salesperson, we asked about the missing accessories we had purchased with the car. The salesperson seemed surprised and asked us if we had the list of things we had purchased! Isn't that something the dealers should have in their records? Shouldn't those things be checked before a customer comes down to pick up the car? It has been three weeks and I still don't have the accessories. Plus they have to be installed, so I have to take it in and spend more of my time to get it installed. Our overall impression of the dealership is that it is poorly run and they do sloppy work. This is a large purchase and it should be checked and double-checked. We have picked up new cars at other car dealerships (Toyota and Tesla) and have never had such a bad experience. The whole process should not have taken more than an hour and the customer should not have to RETURN to the dealership for things that were missing. In summary, the things that were poorly handled include: Salesperson not being available at appointment time Car not being washed, detailed and filled with gas at the time of pick up Car not being ready with all the ordered accessories Incorrect paperwork overcharging the customer (if we hadn't caught the error) Making the client wait for 4 hours to take home the car. I hope this review will encourage the dealership to make improvements to their processes for future new car owners.
