Today I took delivery of my vehicle! (See former review below) and I just wanted to come back to give a shout out to Desmond, the salesman I worked with who helped me inspect, test drive, and understand all the little nuances of our new vehicle today. I've never had a vehicle with an infotainment screen, and he helped me understand all the settings and how to navigate/customize things. He also helped me with using the applications on my phone so that I can monitor/control the vehicle from a distance. A consummate professional, Desmond just started at Cutter about a month ago and you wouldn't know it. Thank you Desmond! I'd also like to shout out to Troy and Colin who helped me finalize everything in writing. I am a very paranoid person when it comes to legal documents...they were patient and thorough in making sure I understood everything I was signing. There were no surprises or mistakes. Thank you guys for alleviating my stress with such a big purchase!I must have worked with a half dozen people over the past month between phone calls, negotiating the price, and then picking up my vehicle today and finalizing the paperwork. Not a single bad experience. I highly recommend Cutter Waipahu!

My fiancé and I purchased a CX-5 Carbon Edition last Saturday from Justice(young local Bradah) and the experience was great. Justice was new but his manager Shane kept checking in and made sure we had answers to all our questions.. I had done lots of research online after my last visit to the Honolulu location was disappointing. My research led me to this location as the had the car I was looking for.Was night and day difference from our prior weekend visiting the Mazda Honolulu location. We were ready to buy when we visited the Honolulu location which had much more inventory but were met with very friendly but less than knowledgeable staff. They could not answer questions like what is the difference in trim packages which as it turns out are few and their job to know. We had to sit and wait across from him while he google searched trim differences then still his best answer was to go test drive cars till we found the one. That combined with the fact that the salesmen dressing like a million dollars is a big turn off to me. Embodies my mental image of a sleazy car salesman and not to be trusted. If these guys had it together they could have located the car we bought in Waipahu and would have bought from them that same day.

Outstanding service with exceptional care for my Ohana is what Makana Piilani provided when we needed a newer and more roomier vehicle at Cutter Mazda Waipahu. Makana was very patient, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with from the beginning and to the end of our new car buying experience. I highly recommend asking for Makana Piilani for your new and used vehicle purchasing needs. Also a big thanks to the assistant sales manager and finance manage too! This is why I'm an extremely satisfied customer and made 3 separate purchases for a new Mazda vehicle.

Disgusting customer service. The "manager" Matt yelled at ME, when this entire dealership RUINED my car. I was just there in May and spent hundreds of dollars to get my horn fixed and they supposedly "checked everything", sent an email with things for me to fix. They NEVER mentioned anything about my coolant being EMPTY or my engine. Yesterday my engine seized while driving and it was VERY DANGEROUS. Mazda did NOT do anything to help or give me any of my money back. Matt hung up on me and was super disrespectful. This is how you treat customers??? They also NEVER answer the phone. If you have a problem with your car, they blame you the whole time. Meanwhile I PAY THEM TO CHECK IT AND MAKE SURE IT'S OK. THEN MY CAR STOPS in the middle of the road and now the car will never start again. It's DONE.I'm telling all my friends and everyone I know to get a TOYOTA instead. Mazda is super rude, and they do NOT care about you or your car. The manager even said "if someone eats a burger and then gets sick a week later are you going to give them their money back?". UMM YES??? What kind of question even is that??? As a good restaurant owner, YES you SHOULD give them their money back if they get sick after eating your food. This comparison Matt gave just PROVES how much they DO NOT CARE. Very disrespectful and I highly do NOT recommend buying a car from this brand/company. NOW I HAVE TO BUY A NEW CAR AND MAZDA DIDN'T OFFER TO REPLACE THE ENGINE FOR FREE OR GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK FOR THE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS I SPENT THERE IN MAY. SHAME ON THEM.I WILL BE BUYING A TOYOTA INSTEAD BECAUSE THEY HAVE CARS THAT ACTUALLY WORK AND HAVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Really liked the experience at Cutter Waipahu, I worked with GM SHane to help select a vehicle and even though I came in for a Terrain AT it was apparent that once I saw the Denali that would be the best choice. Sales person Matt took me on a test drive and helped secure a fair trade in for my old vehicle. Finance explains all the options with no pressure, I highly recommend this dealership.

Don't go to this Mazda Waipahu service dealership as they do not care about f*cking over their clients, horribly unorganized (who uses a binder anymore) an very unprofessional service. Took my car to get a small fix up. They call to say our car is finished, ordered Uber to get down and get here and they say they are holding the car from us because the other company didn't pay their half (even tho they got a work order authorization approved) the amount was not even a lot to allow this torturing and making customers jump through painful hoops, but I paid my half and now I'm late for work and need to order another Uber?! and now I can not make my morning job the next day. I paid our half why am I being screwed over. My car is being held hostage to no fault of mine.. It shouldn't be my fault on needing to scramble and possibly lose my job. It should be on y'all to go get your money order finished. Some customer service this place has LOL. Definitely the worse Mazda place to go, from 160$ hold off to now losing 4 Mazda customers place is JOKES. Toyota would never

I don't ever log into Yelp... as a matter of fact it's been so long that I didn't even know I had a Yelp account. But my experience most recently at Cutter Mazda in Waipahu is worth sharing. Firstly, I was very hesitant about trading my vehicle for something newer. At first, I went to Aloha Kia and felt like a number and that I wasn't being considered or "heard". My vehicle I was trading in had to go in for frequent repairs over at Cutter Buick GMC, and yet Mike, was the most professional and genuine person to work with. He never hesitated to answer my questions, call back to follow-up, and was very warm and sincere. Fast forward- I needed to get out of my Chevy, I needed something reliable. Keep in mind, I have my walls up and I'm feeling guarded about doing a trade. Cutter Mazda reached out and offered to help me, it took days, maybe a week of me asking questions and dodging a "test drive" of any vehicles. Josh was very patient with me (bless his heart) and answered all my questions. Most importantly he was consistent with his communication and not at all aggressive which is a common stereotype with dealerships. Eventually his persistence paid off and I went in. They already had a vehicle in mind for me. Thankfully Josh saved me time by answering my questions (I did not want to be at the dealership all day) and understood my needs- safety, practicality, reliability, and space. He introduced me to Ashley who was such a pleasure and took the time to answer more questions, test drive the car they knew was the right fit for me and my lifestyle, as well as walk me through the details of insurance, what I was signing, etc. Finally, Collin the Finance Manager made signing and closing an ease with his down to earth nature and follow-up after I got into my car. What worked for me is how they made me feel, I didn't feel pressured, I didn't feel forced or rushed, I felt like I was talking story with people I've known for a very long time! They took the time to know me, know what I do, how busy I am between work and my kids, they listened and found exactly what I needed that could fit my budget. I want to sincerely thank the team that helped me. From Mike over at the Service Department at Cutter Buick GMC to the team at Cutter Mazda, I felt their wrap around service really eased my anxiety and fears. I would highly recommend Cutter Mazda, as a matter of fact, I've suggested to my two older adult boys to consider purchasing their vehicles here. I hope Mike at the Service Center at Cutter Buick GMC, Josh, Ashley, and Collin are recognized for their hard work and dedication to exceptional service! Mahalo!

I purchased a used car from the team here. Everyone treated me like family and was very patient and helpful. A big shout out to Shane and Matt for finding me the perfect vehicle within my price range. Also, thanks to Troy, for getting my payments down. Mahalo Niu loa!

If you need a car and are looking for honest service, go to Sean. When I tell you I went in there nervous because I've never walked into a dealership alone! This man made me feel welcome and like family. I went on a Saturday, was welcomed in and Sean was friendly and understanding. Went the following Thursday to just test drive and before I could sit in a 30k car they had, he told me another one was brought in 2 hours prior that was 21k, just detailed, and was the make, model and year range I wanted. Its like God dropped that car off for me. Best service I've gotten.

While we love the new car we purchased from Cutter Mazda Waipahu, we had a horrible experience at this particular dealership on the day that we picked up our car. Unfortunately, the experience totally soured the excitement of purchasing a new car!We spent 4 hours at the dealership - a total waste of our time.1. Upon arrival at our scheduled time, we were told that our salesperson was with another client. (In the entire four hours that we were there, our original salesperson did not appear, so it was obvious he wasn't with another client, he simply wasn't there. Why lie to us? Just be honest and say he wasn't there and someone else would help us.)2. The Assistant Sales Manager told us we could go and take the car for a drive. We asked him to show us some of the features of the vehicle. It was obvious he didn't know the features and then admitted that he usually doesn't do that. Shouldn't the Assistant Sales Manager be able to explain the features of a car that he is selling?3. A salesperson went through the paperwork with us. The paperwork was incorrect (overcharging us). Thankfully, we had the receipt to show how much we had put down as a deposit. 4. Waited while the car was filled with gas and washed. The original text said that it would be detailed prior to our arrival. Finally, after going over all of the features of the car with the salesperson, we asked about the missing accessories we had purchased with the car. The salesperson seemed surprised and asked us if we had the list of things we had purchased! Isn't that something the dealers should have in their records? Shouldn't those things be checked before a customer comes down to pick up the car?It has been three weeks and I still don't have the accessories. Plus they have to be installed, so I have to take it in and spend more of my time to get it installed. Our overall impression of the dealership is that it is poorly run and they do sloppy work. This is a large purchase and it should be checked and double-checked. We have picked up new cars at other car dealerships (Toyota and Tesla) and have never had such a bad experience. The whole process should not have taken more than an hour and the customer should not have to RETURN to the dealership for things that were missing. In summary, the things that were poorly handled include:Salesperson not being available at appointment timeCar not being washed, detailed and filled with gas at the time of pick upCar not being ready with all the ordered accessories Incorrect paperwork overcharging the customer (if we hadn't caught the error)Making the client wait for 4 hours to take home the car.I hope this review will encourage the dealership to make improvements to their processes for future new car owners.

There were two very helpful employees that went above and beyond to assist me in my purchase.Unfortunately, the 1 star review is due to the entitled attitude of a female employee in a silver car. I had parked my Mazda in an UNMARKED stall which appears to have been kapu by this employee. When I was gathering my items and about to leave, she blocked me in and glared at me. Once I realized she wanted the unmarked stall, I left promptly. In order for me to leave, she had to reverse to let me out even though there was ample room, not to mention numerous open parking stalls. How's that for a customer experience? I had even contacted Mazda and received NO response. At the end of the day, there is no sense fighting about parking. What I did not appreciate was this employee's hostile behavior and failure on the part of management to follow up. You have lost a loyal Mazda customer. I will not support a business that treats their customers poorly. I just read some of the other 1 star reviews and see that this is a common theme. Goodbye and good luck making a living with that attitude!
