Super slow. Waited in business line over 15min until I finally had to move to regular line just to see anyone. They don't bother to help out business line.

Not the best branch. There's always 4+ tellers behind the counter talking story and 2 other tellers helping customers, if they all did their job then the line would go much faster and they can talk story after. I only like this branch because of the location.

BOH does not offer wire transfers unless you are making them from inside the branch. This means if the branch is closed or if you are out of state, you are unable to transfer funds to another bank or make a purchase that exceeds the limit on your debit card.I'm currently trying to make a down payment on a house. This means I've had to call the bank to order checks (1-hour), wait for them to arrive (2-weeks), write a check to a new bank account I've made out of state, then wait for it to clear (another 2-weeks).A process that should have taken 10 minutes has taken almost a month. BOH is the only bank I've found that has this issue

I have no idea why this bank has so many bad reviews, they deserve better than that. I had such a great experience for my first time here. Initially came here to close my old account and open a new one because of some fraudulent action on a Saturday, an hour and a half before they closed. It was convenient because it's close to where I live. Thank God it wasn't busy, just had to wait a few minutes then was helped by Wendy who was lovely and she helped me with every step even changing my info for the app and applying for a credit card. She was mindful an empathetic with each question or concern I had and everything, I have social anxiety and she was very patient with me. The other tellers all seemed helpful, smiling, and fast even when there was a mini rush towards closing. Thank you again Wendy!

Called Auto Lease Department for a pay off amount and representative said they will email it to me. 3 hours later I still didn't get it so I called back and the same representative answers. I asked her if she could just provide it over the phone since they have done it for me on many other occasions, she said she can't do it personally so I asked to speak to someone else that could but she just hung up on me. And now no one is answering. Not sure how else to retrieve the information as they do not mail me monthly invoices. Smh.

Mom and I solely went to have a few paperwork notarized. Got a few reminders of a scheduled appointment and a text that the appointment was kept and completed. Our representative was June who methodically & very professionally provided us with great service, my apologies to her if I came across rude as it was my first time to deal with having some important papers done, that took months to complete with the help of my niece, which was time consuming on her part and I just wanted it done. June's patient should be commended as she handled herself very professionally and was added a request from my mother at the age of 87 years old and a long time patron of Waipahu Bank of Hawaii, needed to withdraw some money and the line was too long for her to stand in, so I asked if June could do it and without hesitation said she would take care of it and did it, brought her supervisor to be sure her task was completed as a witness to show the amount and breakdown was carried out, as my mother was preparing to give her great grandchildren, grandchildren and children their Holiday gift, so thank you June for your excellent service. Happy Holiday & be safe with your family.

Three teller open while 20 customers in the line waiting. Smfh. Worst customer service ever.. I can't stand this bank. Always slow.. I ain't coming here anymore.

This is for the loans department. We recently paid off a loan we had with this bank, got a statement saying we paid X amount which was way less then what we paid. Called the bank and was told by very rude employee that on their end we only paid X amount I said no we have the receipt that shows we paid nearly $2000 more then what you're saying and the loan should be paid off. She insists we're wrong even though we have the receipt. Then she says we now owe interest plus a late payment fee plus 1 more payment. Do not do any type of banking with Bank of Hawaii, such a rip off bank. We are waiting for a call from someone who will hopefully fix this situation.

at the Bank of Hawaii parking lot in Waipahu a tentative, nice person helps the mad house. during these times of long holiday and then one day its open kind of crowded. with the long line and cars reversing and parking. People not oaying attention. An employee of Diamond Parking Doreen has helped me and my girlfriend today with an open parking slot available instead of driving in circles since she is handicapped. Mahalo for helping us

I received a phone message to call them regarding a deposit to an "inactive" savings account. I called the number given four times with no answer nor voicemail. I th we n called the 671 branch number twice each time on hold for more than 15 minutes. Ridiculous. Don't deserve even on star

the elderly Ilocano speaking lady Jessie gave me a hard time, refuse to cooperate, kept badgering me for a name of the other employee that screwed up my refund at the pearl ridge branch. I always get a hard time with the Ilocano speaking staff. Not the first time 20 years ago before google, I had several incidents of bad treatment by staff members. Regardless of the fact that 20 years ago I didn't have very much money.

If I could give this bank negative stars, I would because it doesn't deserve any stars.All I wanted was a 10-day payoff request for my auto loan. I am refinancing my truck with a different bank and came in to get a 10-day payoff statement, but was met with incompetence and irritation.The teller I had seemed like she didn't know what I was talking about. I asked if I could have the statement before a certain date and she sounded confused. I've been to other BOH branches and they were able to get the 10-day pay off statement to me either the same day or the very next day. But this teller sounded like she didn't know what I was talking about or maybe she just didn't care.When I gave her an example of an old payoff statement, she needed to go back to her manager and check it then came back and made a copy of it. I asked her if I could just get a statement that looks like this with the new payoff date and amount, and if possibly by email. (Another branch was able to email it to me)She then said she isn't able to do it here in the bank and needed to send it to the back. She said that they don't email either. I asked her why all the branches do it differently. She got snappy and asked "where did you get this statement from?" When I explained, she just kept cutting me off and sounding cocky like I didn't know what I was talking about.Everything I tried to explain to her, she just kept cutting me off and saying that she doesn't do that here and blah blah blah. I'm NEVER going back to this branch! If she didn't know what she was doing, she should have brought her manager over to me. Shittiest customer service ever!
