“I stopped here for the first time in 12 years during our trip to the Big Island. It’s the perfect place to take a break while driving through the vast pastures of Waimea.
There used to be a Parker Ranch Store here where you could buy cowboy-themed goods, but that space has now been converted into a food court. The complex seems to have transformed into a mall that supports the daily lives of the locals, rather than just a tourist spot.
There is a supermarket inside, and the deli section had a huge selection of hot dishes that were delicious. A great spot to grab a bite!”
“Large souvenir shop with about a 1000 different t's to look. They also have many other souvenirs to choose from. I bought a hardwood bowl to take home and the shop owner gave my wife a coconut bead bracelet.”
“You should eat here often!!!
What an amazing meal!!! I had the Thanksgiving meal that the Marketplace prepared. Home-cooked Turkey and Ham to perfection, all the potatoes and stuffing I could eat, plus pumpkin pie to top it all off.
Oh, and never forget the freshest fish on the market and top-notch poke available all week long....”
“I like to stop by occasionally just to take a peek at their cute knicknacks. The staff is so attentive and genuinely kind. Chatted a bit with Shirley, and she was great!”
“This unassuming spot had the best poke! The fish was high quality and fresh. The flavors were robust and amazing I went back every day on my trip best poke bowls I ever had.”
“Parking lot safety guy at busy times to help guide cars: we smile every time we see him. KTA grocery has best papayas & local favs from through out through Island & nice staff. Lehua jewelry store special. Lots of places for quick bites. Across street from ACE Hardware so multitasking area for us.Sweet part of world.”
