Beginning at 2000' this is a gem of a park. Air is cool, steady breezes up the hill, excellent interpretive board and pamphlets. Quiet as you please with a great deal of education available. Definitely worth 3 miles off the highway.
Horse trail too!
Picnic area: Plenty of picnic areas to choose from!

Gorgeous well maintained park with beautiful walking trails into the jungles surrounded by wildlife. We camped there twice now and absolutely will go again. Great for a day trip picnic too!

Really nice campground with free kitchen and gas stove. But this guy tenting on his car next door was noisy all night running some air pump.

Wonderful park. Stayed in a cabin and hiked all the trails. Friendly helpful staff and close to Honokaa etc.

Nice hike through the forest. It was a little hard to find the trailhead. Take the right fork in the road. Walk across the grass to the left of the buildings by the shed.

We hiked for an hour and half in this park. Lots of eucalyptus trees and other plants. Nice place to get away from the heat of the Kohala coast.

Found a geocache here! Beautiful day!
Toilets: Restrooms are clean, single occupant. Running water and toilet paper.
Picnic area: Pavillion and tables to sit and eat on. Great to hike and cruise the park.
