The area is clean and well maintained. It is a tree lovers paradise and a nice area to walk in the rainforest. Visitors can stroll in the meadows or take a walk along one of several very enjoyable hiking trails, including a short guided nature trail with educational pamphlets and an interpretive board. There is also a horse trail. The park offers a great deal of education about the native and invasive trees and plants. For camping, there are three tent specific areas with covered platforms. The tent campground is quiet and scenic. There are multiple covered picnic areas and a grill. The accessible bathroom offers a shower and outlets, though the shower facilities are very basic. The area has plentiful parking. Important notes are that there is no cellular service and a lot of mosquitos at night. Beginning at 2000 feet, the air is cool with steady breezes. It is a quiet place to listen to bird song, breathe the plentiful oxygen, and enjoy the blue sky. It is definitely worth the drive off the highway.
