Fun place to visit to learn about macadamia nut harvesting. Lots of flavors. The staff is very nice and generous with macadamia nut samples and Tropical Dream ice cream samples.

You can sample the many macadamia flavors here and also some coffees. They’ve got a lot of products in the Visitor Center shop. There is also a glass window and you can see some processes of the macadamia factory.

What does it taste like? They will let you try whatever you like as many times as you like. The cheerful staff will ring the bell and have fun when you put a tip in the tip box. The ice cream with lots of macadamia nuts was also very delicious.

The sales floor was smaller than the last time I visited.
It was a shame that the original brand pancake mix was gone, but it's a good store.

Just happened to stop by, kinda hidden up a hill. But what a great find. Tasted 10 different flavors of Mac nuts. Butter rum glazed are the bomb, perfectly matched with Kona coffee sample. And you have to get the ice cream!

Hāmākua Macadamia Nut Company is something you do not want to miss! The macadamia nut sampling is awesome! You get to try each flavor, and they have coffee samples too.
You can also see the production facility. Its not a huge place, and the time spent there is fairly short, but I feel it was worth the trip.
The staff are extremely friendly, and helpful! If you are staying at the Hilton resorts, it very short trip up to the factory. I would highly recommend!

Stopped by to see what they had. Stayed a while trying samples and the ice cream (which was amazing). Nice selection on the shelves, mahalo!

Had a fun time at the nut factory. The sample flavors are awesome! The ladies are also super nice. Had a cup of coffee. Before you know it your basket is full. Glad we took that wrong turn and found this gem! Thanks D

It was about an hour drive north of Kona to this macadamia nut packaging company/factory.
We tasted about 10 kinds of nuts. Plus some macadamia brittle. Plus some coffee. Pretty much everything was good. Perhaps the spam one was overrated.
But we got several cans to take home as souvenirs for ourselves and for people. They have the option to ship for you using USPS for almost the same rate as the post office.
We also cracked macadamia nuts using a littletool they had sitting there. Watched them pack some product. Watched a short historic video. All the staff were friendly and nice. It was a fun stopping point to rest.

So many options, and you can sample each of them before your purchase. If you see anything that you like that was not at the sample window, simply ask, and they will be delighted to let you try. (So glad we had an extra suitcase on this trip)
