Maui Ocean Treasures is a gem and must-see for anyone visiting Maui, combining a fabulous aquarium with an impressive museum. The facility has the largest and most varied collection of exotic fish, with interesting exhibits and extremely well-done information placards throughout. Talks by the marine biologists about turtles, sharks, and whales are both educational and enjoyable, adding great value. One of the great highlights is the very realistic 3D humpback whale movie. It is a good activity with kids, who enjoy the treasure hunt searching for stamps. For adults, the snorkel with a marine biologist experience is highly recommended. This small group experience is amazing, with a guide who is kind, reassuring, extremely knowledgeable, and considerate of conditions. Snorkelers can see green sea turtles and different reefs and fish. The experience is worth every penny and fantastic, with many areas for seating to rest. A visit could be completed in a couple of hours, but plan to spend longer. It is definitely a highlight and worth every penny.
My wife and I spent 3 hours here and really enjoyed the experience. This facility has the largest and most varied collection of exotic fish that I’ve ever seen. Information placards throughout the facility were extremely well done. One of the great highlights was the 3-d humpback whale movie. We would definitely go back.
