Stopped in after getting a smoothie next door and had a great conversation with the owner. As a bonus, I was pleased to hear that he is a fellow veteran.
Ignore all the thumbs down from the thin-skinned folks. This is a man who is completely unplugged aside from a landline phone and a CD player. You don’t meet many people like him anymore, and those who apparently had such bad experiences interacting with him are actually revealing more about themselves than they seem to be aware of.

Ignore the negative reviews. Joe, the owner, is the real deal. I stopped by and chatted with him for two hours and I'll never forget him. He has a story for every item in the store, and they're all curated by him alone. Ask him about books, metaphysics, tantra - and you'll learn something. He's got a recommendation for any and every interest - if you're cool, you'll get it! I'm so glad I found this place, it was a highlight of my Maui trip and I look forward to going back.

Horribly rude old man owns this place. My boyfriend and I love antique stores as we were walking around looking he rudely stated we needed to put things back exactly as we found them. Which we hadn't even moved anything so this wasn't necessary. Everything was caked in dust and nothing was even "antique" but rather just a bunch of junk.

This place is truly unique as was the guy that owns it. Yea there's a lot of stuff, cool old crap, and that's what I want in an antique store. I'm not looking for shiny stuff, I will go to Kaanapali for that. Show me a some dusty old shelves and a veteran that doesn't kiss anybody's a** just cause they shove dollar bills in his face, and that's a place I can spend time and money in!

The owner is a very interesting person. He was happy to chat with us and share his story. Items in the store are not high value antiques, but odds and ends from days past.

As antique dealers in California, this place is embarrassing and disgusting. The poor old man in this place obviously doesn't want to sell anything. We wanted to return with something purchased in Maui, but when we picked up an item, he freaked out and asked us to not touch any of the merchandise. Rudely stated that we couldn't get certain items on the plane. I can only guess that he is suffering and in poor health and possibly that is the reason he was so rude to paying customers. Filthy place, overpriced merchandise. We were in the same store about 20 years ago and clearly it has not been cleaned in all that time. He also was not following Covid prevention protocols as he wore no mask. J********

A crazy person owns this store. We wanted to support a local business but this wasn't the place to do that. First, he inappropriately asked about my partner's skin condition. Then, when I inquired about two books and he said they were his personal items and not for sale. Perhaps, it would be a good idea to remove those items from the rest of the items in the store. This was a very strange experience. Definitely won't be coming back here. Ever.
