Rude pretentious staff. Visited the store this morning shopping for our home. Spotted a wood bowl with two ying-yang ferns that would look great in our home. Went to take a pic to send to my other half to see what he thought (because, you know, seriously considering buying). An older man who greeted everyone coming into the store abruptly raised his voice toward me in front of other shoppers and shouted “no photos!”… really? How is that appropriate? First, you could have approached it better, for example, walk over to me and address it privately with “sorry sir, we’d appreciate it if you didn’t take photos”…. Second, there is literally a photo on your website of that same bowl, so how important is this ‘no photo’ policy???? Learn to treat customers better, you never know who might be planning to spend with you. Avoid this place if you appreciate good customer service.

Such amazing pieces of art, these should be in a museum or in an online gallery for all to see, (of course with artist concent). It to expensive for any functional use but so cool to see. Must see place.

On our second day over from the mainland we stumbled across this little gem of a shop. The variety of pieces was impressive, with a heavy leaning towards furniture, watches and sculptures made using indigenous Koa wood. The prices for many of their one of a kind items were very reasonable in my humble estimation, but we are also talking about works of art, so know that reasonable does not necessarily equal cheap. The owner was very friendly and took a great deal of time explaining the provenance of certain items when asked without being pushy and we really enjoyed talking with him. It's a bit early in our trip to be buying large items to haul around, but before leaving next week we may need to go back for a few things that caught my eye.

My husband and I just purchased a beautiful koa style oak dining table from Martin & Macarthur. The salesman we spoke with was incredibly patient as we struggled to select just the right one! Eventually though, we made a decision, and we couldn't be happier now that it's been delivered. The table is truly beautiful. The craftsmanship is excellent. It looks perfect in our home. For all those reasons, I highly recommend Martin & Macarthur to others shopping for quality furniture.

They have some pretty unique furniture items. The rep (David) who was working the day I stopped in was very knowledgeable and was not pushy whatsoever.

I visited Hawaii for a once-in-a-lifetime anniversary trip with my husband last year, and when we were there, he purchased a cute rose-gold bracelet with a little sea turtle for me. I never lose things, so imagine my dismay when I actually did lose this special memento a couple of months ago! I called around to different Martin & MacArthur stores to purchase a new one, and Linda Cappeto from this store made it her mission to find a replacement for me. Well, I just got it today - beautifully packaged and with a lovely card from Linda. It is an exact duplicate of the one I lost, and I couldn't be happier. Best customer service EVER!!! Mahalo!
