69-450 Waikōloa Beach Dr, Waikoloa Village“Palace tower was ok. A bit dated with construction taking place on part of the building. (October 2024). The hotel is just too big to easily get to the main pool and restaurants. Tram takes too long, and the boats were closed. The parking lot is a long walk from the palace tower. A 2nd parking lot for this side of the resort should have been built. We felt bad for any guests that had mobility issues.”
“We had a great stay at the Westin on the Big Island . Great facilities like the pools what stood out for was the large fitness center. The gym has great weights, equipment and cardio.”

65-1210 Lindsey Rd, Waimea“This Lodge is located perfectly for exploring Waimea. The Hawaiian style cafe is only few minutes walk away, several supermarkets and restaurants are also close by. It's silent during nights, until the chickens wake up at sunrise. The room we had was very spacious, as was the bathroom. Many towels were provided, as well as body wash and soap. The fridge was very handy and the beds were the most comfortable beds we ever experienced in a hotel.
The price is reasonable and the service was great (with easy late check in instructions).
Rooms: Spacious, many closets, very comfortable beds
Walkability: Supermarkets and restaurants near by”
“Needs a little deep cleaning to maintain it's status. A few places have what appears to be past coffee stains on the carpet & tops of living room couches. Also the dishwasher seems like it's about 10 - 15 years old and isn't screwed in tightly (wobbles all around loosely). Otherwise the place is very comfortable & accomadating. Plenty of towels, coffee & very responsive to each time we had a need to call them up.
Rooms: Rooms were large and accommodating & mostly comfortable. Mattresses might need to be turned.
Nearby activities: A couple of beaches fairly close by, otherwise you will travel 20 - 30 minutes + into Kona or Waimea for a decent selection of grocery stores, restaurants & other activities.
Safety: You feel pretty safe within the whole Waikoloa complex however @ the Bay Club, there are some areas where it is really dark from where you park the car up to the building. I used my phone flash light regularly at night so as not to trip on anything! It is a short walk but nonetheless less dark/unlit.
Walkability: There is a shuttle within Waikoloa to take you to high end shopping & restaurants if you don't mind paying only high end prices for EVERYTHING!! Example; A half gallon of Roselani Kona Mud Pie Ice cream (the BEST, I might add) was about $19.00 @ the Island Gourmet grocery store within Waikoloa, but I payed $11.00 for it at the KTA store in Waikoloa Village (a small town about12 - 15 min. away!!”
