First Hawaiian Bank, where time stands still and your patience is put to the test! If you're looking for a bank that's a throwback to the late '90s, look no further.Well, let me entertain you with my latest adventure into the world of banking. Buckle up, folks, because this tale is about to take you on a rollercoaster ride through the wonders of modern banking, or should I say, "modern-ish."So, there I was, excited to do some online banking with First Hawaiian Bank, thinking it would be as smooth as butter on a hot Hawaiian roll. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a time-traveling journey back to 1999.Before I get to that... let's talk about their telephone customer support. I'm pretty sure they have a direct line to the past because I could've almost watched an entire episode of "60 Minutes" during the solid 50 minute hold time that I endured before getting some help. But hey, I guess patience is a virtue, right? Now, let's move on to their website and app. Remember the good old days when the internet was a novelty and websites were just figuring out how to be user-friendly? Well, First Hawaiian Bank seems to have a nostalgic fondness for that era. Their website and app are like a virtual time capsule, complete with a navigation system that will have you feeling like you're playing a game of "Where's Waldo." Finding what you need online is like searching for buried treasure, and you'll need a pirate's map to guide you through the system.Want to do anything slightly more advanced than checking your balance? Prepare to put on your best '90s outfit and head to a physical branch because, apparently, that's the only way to get things done. Want to wire some funds to another bank? Branch. Want to e-sign some documents? No such thing here... Branch. It's like they missed the memo about the whole "convenience of online banking" thing that other banks have embraced. In conclusion, if you're looking for a bank that will transport you back in time to the days of AOL and dial-up internet, First Hawaiian Bank is your ticket to the past. Just be prepared to wait, both on the phone and in line at the branch. It's like a quirky, retro-themed amusement park, minus the cotton candy.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Try calling the bank to correct an error they made—wait times are insane, but if you opt to stay on the line because they never called back when you opted that choice, the system hangs up on you after waiting 40 minutes. An going to close this account.

This is one of the worst banks in Waianae. First Hawaiian Bank in Waianae. It's not even lunch time, and the line is long.. Two tellers open, but if someone with a business transaction comes in. You are down to one teller. You have one woman that asks you. How can I help you when you walk in. Yet, there is NOTHING she can do. Why don't they have more tellers!! It's always like this no matter what time you come in.Hire MORE TELLERS!!! Or customer service people ... This is ridiculous.... Or better yet. I will move my banking somewhere else....and let others know too!!

Service is super slow. Everytime I come in there's only two tellers with a long line. I could only imagine if they would open on Saturday's the line would be out the door.

If I could give them 1/2 star rating, I would. This is the worst bank in the whole world. Tellers are taking forever and only 2 of them, 1 of Them is in training, while there are 20 of us customers waiting in line...

12pm on a Friday. Line wrapped around inside the building. 1 Teller with a sign that says, "In Training" while the manager sits in her office and the New Accounts lady sits at her desk! WTF!?!

Waianae FHB should hire more tellers or the manager or supervisor should help out on the teller line! Corporate should make a time to come down to the Waianae branch and see how long the lines are. People on their lunch bring or just doing their errands standing waiting for hours while their workers just talking away. Or do a sign letting the customers know due to short staff or budget cuts waiting period will be long. I understand there's other options to do banking but "YES" people needs to come into the bank manual give their deposit or ask the teller a question. Why is Waianae branch has only (2) tellers and make their customers wait for hours? The supervisor said they have 2 other tellers one at Kapolei and another teller on lunch? Plus why does this branch close early on Friday instead of 6:00pm? Please make changes to the Waianae FHB branch I'm new to the community and I see this is only the FHB on the west side! Attend to your customers or we'll start changing banks. Only bring doing cashing checks only! Upset customer!

Everytime I have to make a deposit for my employer, I cringe. ONE teller, 2 tops. Long lines, no smile and ask me if I want to open an account?! NO WAY. This is why I left in the first place! Hire more people! GEEZ

Worst customer service. I call their number and it's always busy. I give my phone number to receive a return call and no return calls for 2 days. Still waiting. When I call the number again I have to go thru the same process as usually there are 40 to 80 calls ahead of me. Does not make sense for a call back as they do not call you back. How are we to make an appointment for a notary when they don't call back.

Poor service from Notary customer service Natalia. First to make an appointment is ridiculous because when you call the bank location it goes straight FHB main call center. Then it takes 20-25 minutes to get through to make an notary appt at the Waianae Branch, when I asked to make a same day appt the call center couldn't get through because no one answered the phone at the Waianae Branch. So I decided to drive there to see if I could do a walk in appointment, only 3 customer at the teller and the notary person had I customer which left shortly. I asked if I could have a notary done and was told by Natalia that she don't do same day appt. What I don't understand is why she couldn't squeeze me in for 15 minutes because they're was no one else in the bank waiting it was empty. Natalia has very poor customer service!!!!!
