Joanna was our guide on the ride. Conversation during the ride was pleasant. Horses were great! I will definitely do this ride again!

Rude staff, which I see is a trend here. Jessica, the “manager,” was rude and booked the wrong time for the group I was with and proceeded to tell us that there was nothing they could do. Thanks polo club!

We've had the privilege of working with Hawaii Polo Club multiple times in 2023, and each experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The venue itself is a picturesque canvas for events, and the efforts of their incredible team, led by the delightful Sugako, make it truly extraordinary.Sugako, along with the dynamic duo Ron and Gary, went above and beyond to ensure the seamless execution of our events. Their professionalism, unwavering support, and positive energy were instrumental in making each occasion a success. Sugako's coordination skills are impeccable, and Ron and Gary are the epitome of excellence in their roles. We genuinely couldn't have pulled off such memorable events without their expertise and genuine care for their clients. The good vibes they bring to every collaboration are contagious, ensuring that everyone who chooses Hawaii Polo Club for their event is in for an incredible experience.A special shout-out to Sugako, Ron, and Gary - the dream team at Hawaii Polo Club. We're eagerly anticipating future collaborations and can't thank them enough for their outstanding support. Mahalo Nui!

Ima be real, this is the biggest ripoff I have ever done in my life. Not only did my friends horse bite her while she was on that horse. The guide gaslit my friend for saying that the horse behind her was too close to her, but the horse that bit her was the horse she was riding. How do you get away from a horse you're on top of. The bite was really big and ripped her jeans. On top of that they had no medical care or proper first aid that would help reassure us. They gave us 2 small bandaids and some alcohol wipes... to be fair they refunded my friends ride but to be honest they should have refunded all of our rides. It was a traumatizing experience. These horses are also sassy AF. My husbands horse kept shaking his head, if I told my horse what to do she would look at me like "bitch you better not". Then my best friends husbands horse kept bullying my friends horse and my husbands horse kept bullying her horse. That poor horse was so done getting bullied it bit my friend. Over all bad experience and horribly temperamental horses. To be fair, horse bite aside. I have ridden horses all around the world on vacation so I have 20 different experiences to compare. All I will say is this was a waste of money, the whole ride was 149 dollars per person. They promise you an hour of a sunset walk but you don't even get to see the sun set. The sunset sets on a different trail then they take you. They also told me that if we came earlier we could have seen a better sunset, but that wasn't written in the information packet they sent. They said that check in was at 4:30pm and the ride doesn't start until 5pm. Well there was traffic so we checked in at 4:45, which was before 5 and I checked my phone we still left on horse at 5. So we should have been able to see a better sunset and get a full walk imo. The walk that was given to me was basically a shooooorrrrrttttt and SLOW walk through the beach to the horse stables, this short middle aged MAN WAS RUNNING on the sand faster than a freaking horse!!! HE ran from one side of the beach to the other side in sinking sand and was still FASTER than us!!! Idk about you but I thought horses were faster than humans. The trail absolutely sucked!!! If you pay the same price you can go to Kona tours and ride horses where they filmed Jurassic world and I'm going to be honest! That's a way better tour and a way better and longer trail. I had already done that tour so I wanted to do something new, but this was a big mistake and now my friend is scared of horses. However, if you are an animal activist this company apparently takes neglected horses and rehabs them to health. I had no idea of this prior, but I mean if you're into that. Then I guess come here and waste your money and potentially get bitten. My friend had to go to the emergency room because it wouldn't stop bleeding. It was very deep. The staff was uncaring and in general the tour just sucked. I am never coming back.

Right off the bat, I could easily say that my wedding at Hawaii Polo Club was phenomenal! The venue coordinator Sugako was one of the best people I had worked with for the wedding. Her response time was quick and she was always able to answer any random questions I threw at her, which really helped the planning process. She was very sweet, accommodating and willing to work with any ideas I had. I contacted her in March of 2022 and had my wedding in June 2023 and she followed through with me every step of the way. I was initially really stressed out about planning a destination wedding, but she was able to give me resources and a list of vendors she recommended which gave me a great place to start. She really helped make my dream wedding come true!As for the venue itself, it was absolutely perfect! I would describe it as easy-breezy, laid back, countryside beach vibes. If you're looking for something casual but breathtaking this is THE one! I don't take that statement lightly because I was very thorough in my venue research for about 6 months before I committed. I stumbled upon Hawaii Polo Club through a simple google search of venues where I inquired and compared amongst many others. I was very specific about wanting a beach (on the sand) wedding for my ceremony which this place offers (you also have the option to go on the lawn if you're not into that). This venue checked off many boxes for me in what I was looking for as far as views and bang for my buck. I was able to have a beach wedding with decorations and seating right there on the sand without needing a beach permit because it's their own private beach. I also found that they had many other things included or available to rent right there on their location. Unlike other places, they had round tables provided as well as chairs, a tent over the reception space, bar stools and bar tables, a bar stand, extra tables for decorations, a dance floor and many other things you wouldn't think you would need to worry about. I was able to rent additional things like tiki torches, twinkly lights for the reception space, lawn games (that were super fun during cocktail hour), but best of all the horse rental. This was another thing that sold me on the venue. I was able to rent out a horse for 2 hours and I had her incorporated in a few parts of my wedding which was SUPER cool! I had the idea of walking up to the aisle with Clara the horse and it was such an entrance. I also was able to have her in some of our couple portrait shots which were beautiful. After our photos she went to the cocktail hour where all the guests were and everyone loved taking photos with her. The photos were just beautiful, besides it being Oahu, it was so cool to be able to get such a variety of backgrounds in our photos. Not only did we get beach shots, we also had grassy forest type shots, ones on the polo lawn, or even at the clubhouse with the mountains in the back. Not one bad photo!Overall my husband and I are beyond happy with our experience and loved every minute of our wedding and even our guests told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to, which was a bonus!

I highly recommend the sunset with Phoebe as your guide. We rode with the mountains on one side and the North Shore on the other. There's nothing else like this! Beginner and seasoned riders alike will enjoy this experience. Memories to last a lifetime!

Scenic locale next to ocean, friendly staff. You can ride a bicycle if it's convenient, which saves on parking if that matters. Although it seems like a popular place to tailgate. Quaint old-timey scoreboard that a person manually changes the score.

Absolutely beautiful land and good gorgeous semi private beach to ride through. This was such a joy. Alyssa really made our experience! She was super friendly, relaxed with us, clearly had good knowledge of the horses we were riding. I don't know if we would have enjoyed it as much with another tour guide. For us, she just matched perfectly with our personalities and vibe. She had really good vibes. The sunset PRIVATE tour is the way to go. So nice to be alone without others and just have our own time and peace and quiet. Makes it just feel more freeing than trotting behind ten people or having to wait for people to catch up or stop and check on everyone.Alyssa was super fun to talk to with and just has a really great personality. She was awesome taking her time getting us photos. Took her time to get us solo shots, couples shots, and really took her time to make us feel special and enjoy the ride. She was knowledgeable about surrounding areas in terms of beaches, other tours, food, etc.Yes you cannot go into the ocean on these rides but you get as close as you can and it was lovely. Very relaxing hearing the waves on your ride. The moon was beautiful over the trees, fun to oversee a polo practice happening, sunset was spectacular. We got to see some retired horses relaxing and grazing in beautiful fields. The whole thing was awesome. The horse I road was named Ike and he was such a sweet boy. We kindly tipped our lovely tour guide at the end and tipped our horses.

We were lucky. We booked a four PM beach tour and somehow managed to be the only folks to join our stellar guide, Phoebe. We essentially had a private tour. Our horses were lovely and opinionated. Phoebe took us to two spots where we could take photos together: one with a mountain backdrop and one with an ocean backdrop. We gave her our phones and she took quality photos of us together and separately. Phoebe made us feel super welcome and at home. She also gave us great recommendations for our time in Halewa, too. We highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Our twins wanted to do horseback oh Oahu. I checked Yelp and found Hawaii Polo Club. We've gone to other places and this time, I wanted something different. Hawaii Polo Club's trail looked heavenly and they go on sand and trail is at the beach views. It is a bit difficult to find them so trust Google maps and pay close attention to the signs. When we arrived, there was no one at the check-in desk so I just walked up to someone and she confirmed our kids rides and asked for them to get a helmet. They ask for you to check-in 30min before. We sat around for a bit until the kids got on the horses. The staff could be more friendlier and provide more info but they were attentive when I asked questions. My daughter said she saw naked people at the beach during the ride which she didn't appreciate. My kids also said that the guide didn't talk much so they didn't really learn anything about Hawaii or the trail which I thought was very different. We've gone horseback riding in the past and they always shared about the island or the trail or whatever. But they did love the views and from their pictures, the views were stunning and beautiful! That we are definitely happy and satisfied about. Also, the website said the ride would be about an hour and half but they were done after an hour. I wished that my kids could have learned more about the island or the trail they were on. I was focused on views which they did get so overall, we were satisfied. If you have younger children, I would probably consider another trail but if you're like me and looking for beautiful views and trail on the beach then definitely ride here. The price is fair and comparable to others. Making a reservation is easy via their website. Have fun and enjoy the beautiful views of Hawai'i!
