I love Mr Penny. He's fair and honest. I've purchased four vehicles from him. If you are looking for an affordable car with good rate's, call mash auto sales.

John is truly a great guy who goes out of his way to help his customers. I found him to be very kind, up front, and honest. They have a good selection on their lot. And they’re affordable. I can not recommend Today Auto (new name) enough.

To add insult to injury. I received a ticket in the mail to the "registered owner" of the license plate belonging to the mercury mountaineer that John took back to his lot months ago. I called John and asked him why was there a ticket that's coming to me for a 70$ parking ticket in town on a night and time that I was in bed with my family, and moreover why was the suv still in my name 5 MONTHS after he took the car back. He said he'll call me back. Never called me back. I called him again, and he said he's not paying the parking ticket nor was he going to take the car out of my name...till today add another 3 months and the DMV says the suv is STILL registered to me...How is this legal?? What kind of a person an owner at a lot would do this to someone? Do NOT waste your money or time with John Penny the #1 crook over there. The owners name on BBB is listed as Sam Chen, when I asked John for Sam, he said he is no longer the owner so I couldn't speak to him. When I searched Sam Chen's name in the BBB he owns another lot in Honolulu. So I called that lot, the sales man said yes the owner Sam Chen should be here at 10am and he can call you back, but when he found out about me inquiring because of John Penny and the Mercury he quickly said "he never comes here, you need to talk to John Penny" and hung up on me. Warm everyone about this lot. He also still has not responded to any of the BBB complaints I filed. Go figure.

John will get you into the right vehicle and always take care of you afterwards. He has been doing this the longest in all of Wahiawa and that should tell you something about the person. He was there even when Pacific used to be Pizza hut! John Penny is the name to look for when it comes to used cars. Always trust John he will NEVER do you wrong.

Got my car through MASH recently, they were extremely helpful in getting the right car for me at very reasonable price. When I had trouble, "got a nail in the tire" few days later, they helped me fix it right away so I didn't have to take it to a repair shop. Great after service!

We bought our car in 11/2014 and we're never made aware of any issues with it and was sold to us with a CLEAN title, fast forward to now we need a bigger vehicle and go to trade it in.. come to find out they sold us this car with frame damage. The owner acted like he never knew but it clearly states on the carfax that it was announced when they bought it from the auction, they were very unwilling to work with us in any way for their shadiness and now we are stuck with a car that is basically worth nothing. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

Do not purchase a car from here. This dealer is USAA certified, but apparently that means nothing (working with USAA now to get them uncertified). The same day we bought our Jeep from them, it broke down and wouldn't start. They took it back for a few days and gave me a loaner while they tried to repair it. I got it back but the same problem continued to occur, it wouldn't start. I was out running errands in Honolulu once I got the car back and it wouldn't start anymore, it took a random mechanic from FedEx just 2 minutes to correctly diagnose the problem with my Jeep, he informed me to get a new starter. Somehow, this analysis escaped Mash's solution, even though they had a week to repair and analyze it. Mash replaced the starter at no cost to me once I went back to them and told them about the problem. One week later, while driving around, my Jeep would randomly shut off, forcing me to put the car in neutral in the middle of street and restart it. This continues to happen about once every other day. When I brought this to the attention of Mash, they took the car for a week and said they would fix it. When I went back to pick it up, I asked John what they did to "fix" it, and he was very vague about what they actually did to my car. I realized now that he was so vague because they did nothing of substance to fix the underlying issue of my car randomly quitting while being driven. They fixed the left blinker, made the A/C work a little better, and then pretended to fix the stuff that caused my engine to die. I'm not sure if this place is incompetent, or corrupt, but either way, do not buy a car from them. I've owned my Jeep for a couple months now and have already spent hundreds of dollars on rentals while Mash acted like they were repairing my car. If you do want a car from here, get it inspected by a mechanic you trust. A carfax and being USAA certified is not enough to stop this place from selling you a lemon. If you have had issues with this dealer as well, call USAA and inform them, call the better business bureau of Hawaii, and call the State Attorney General.
