Everyone is friendly! You can walk with a worker to pick out your tree or pick one that was already freshly cut. They will cut and wrap your tree for you and even help you load it. Be sure to tip the workers!

Absolutely wonderful way to support local business and grown on Oahu trees! We love the different varieties of trees they have, not just your standard Christmas tree. They have all shapes and sizes, and make the whole process super easy! They're a little pricier than your big box store, but I'd much rather pay that for a locally grown tree!

Best place on island to buy a tree. Forget Home Depot. Jace helped us find the perfect tree. Tons of fun for the kids to walk around the farm.

I'm so in love with our Christmas tree this year! This was our first time getting an actual live tree and the whole experience was delightful. They made it super easy. Walk around, pick a tree, our personal associate cuts it, wraps it up, and viola! You're at home decorating it! I don't even think we were there for an entire hour. We chose the Norfolk Island pine, it isn't heavy, doesn't shed any pines, and it's unique and beautiful in its own way. I'm super happy with our tree this year! Support local businesses and get a real tree from Helemano Farms!

A Christmas tree farm in Hawaii?! Who knew! I sure didn't until I did some research on places to take Christmas photos on Oahu. This place is so cool and picturesque! It's a great place to take Christmas photos as well as pick your own Christmas tree! It's only open to the public in November and December. This place is located at the very end of Wahiawā right before the military base. There are a couple of different tree options: Norfolk & Cypress. Norfolk has long palm-like branches and long needles and Cypress has many branches and short needles (more Christmas tree like). Both are beautiful but have 2 different looks. I went to take my Christmas photos and since my baby was only 5 months old, I didn't explore too far into the farm. This place is also dog friendly which I loved because I wanted our furbaby to be in our photos. You are allowed to take your own photos here but aren't allowed to bring a professional photographer. We did look for a wreath for our house since we don't have room for a Christmas tree. They sell beautifully decorated wreaths for $40. The workers there are super friendly and eager to help you pick a tree, cut it down, and load it in your car. I hope to return next year with our family to explore more of the farm!

Such a peaceful, beautiful farm! We would have strolled for the whole day through the Christmas trees. They mark the trees with prices and are super helpful, walking you through to which sizes and types of trees you like. Very friendly staff! So glad we got our first Hawaiian Christmas tree here ?

As we have many years we went up to pick a live tree for Christmas - so much better than the trees from Oregon that are crispy before the 25th. Staff as always super friendly and nice. We ended up with a sapphire cypress since the 7' Leland's were gone. It's gorgeous and has a nice scent. And as to the recent reviews from I am sure recently moved here Karen's, yeah they are grown outdoors in nature. There's a few bugs. We made sure to shake it well outside first and that was enough. If you want a tree with no bugs buy an artificial one.

Farm full of fresh Christmas trees! Plenty of options you can't find elsewhere on the island. I've been wanting to visit Helemano Farms for the longest, and I am so glad I can finally check it off the bucketlist. Located just before the second NCTAMS gate in Wahiawa, turn right and you've arrived at the entrance. We got there about 5 minutes till opening time of 10am, but there were several groups already making their rounds of the grounds. It wasn't busy as I was anticipating, which was a shocker, as it's been said that the line can get anywhere from 50+ cars deep at any given time. Very fortunate, because we were able to take our annual Christmas photos without the crowded background of bodies. What a win! Sidebar - dogs are allowed, as long as they are properly leashed. So come have them join in on the forced family fun! Hahaha.

Overpriced trees, long lines, and you pay for the cypress tree first which means you don't get to look at them beforehand. People were pretty disappointed in the height of the trees but we weren't allowed to change to a bigger one after we paid. The people were nice but that's about it. But the worst part of it was THE BUGS. We weren't given any instructions to spray it down first or to expect any bugs whatsoever. The tree was infested with roaches, CANE SPIDERS, and more. They are now everywhere in the house and had to take down the decorations and spray the tree down outside with bug spray. I think that we should've been told some sort of instructions as to how to handle the possibility of an infestation. In all, we won't be going next year to get an overpriced tree that is so infested that we have to now throw it out. $150 down the drain.

The farm was great and the workers were very nice and helpful. I would say the overall experience here was good and we were able to get a nice cypress tree. The issue however came up a few days after putting the tree up. We shook the tree and stomped it a few times before bringing the tree in the house and we didn't see anything. A few days later we saw like 5 cane spiders and a bunch of tiny brown roaches. We had to take the tree out to the yard and remove all the decorations and found even more bugs and spiders. I think the business should have either disclosed the potential bugs or ensured good pest control. We expected a few bugs here and there since it was a freshly cut down tree but not a whole infestation. We were lucky notice when we did and to take the tree out as soon as possible because this could've caused a huge infestation in the house. I did find a couple spiders and roaches in close proximity to the tree. I am disappointed since I wanted to support this local business but I think we will be buying mainland exports with actual pest control measures from here on out.

Had an amazing experience picking out a Norfolk pine for this year's Christmas tree. Our helper Larry did an awesome job finding us exactly what we wanted. We'll be back next year!

What an experience - I highly recommend for families wanting to pick out a Christmas tree! I found their Facebook page and kept an eye out as to when they would open for the holiday season. They start offering trees in November however we went the day after Thanksgiving. FYI if you're going anytime after thanksgiving get there at least 30 minutes before they open because there's limited parking inside and a line to walk through the lot and pick out your tree. I think we waited over an hour - it was sunny and warm so bring a stroller, hats, and water if able. There was a shaded/covered area within the tree line that we waited with the kiddos and portapotties on site. Once you wait in line, a staff member will walk you through the tree lot and you let them know what type of tree and approximate height you'd like. They cut it down and even take a picture for you. They'll help walk it and load it in your car. I went to help load while my spouse waited in line to pay. They also have wreaths available for purchase. Such a fun experience- we'll be making this a new tradition.
