Worst experience with H&R Block. We’ve done our taxes with them for the last several years. Angeline T. was the worst tax preparer! She questioned everything about our taxes. She stated, we were filing our taxes illegally for years, just like how another person stated in another review. When she was done preparing our taxes, she stated that we owe the IRS, which we paid. To top it off, she stated that, “it’s ok, I’ve seen others pay way more”. This bothered me, because there was no significant changes in our income for the last several years. I wasn’t able to sleep that night, I felt something was wrong. I pulled out our 2022 taxes (1:00am) and compared it with what she had prepared (2023). Sure enough, the previous and current year incomes were nearly identical. Why did we receive a refund from the previous year and have to pay in the current year? We reached out to Ms. Angeline to inquire. Her attitude changed. She stated, “tell me what you want me to put on your taxes and I’ll input it”.
We contacted H&R and asked for someone else to verify our tax documents. The other person that verified, stated that it was all wrong. What if we didn’t say or do anything? Unknowingly accept to pay the IRS when we shouldn’t have. That will suck! But that’s why we seek and pay “tax professionals” to assist in our tax returns.
Our tax return was amended, it was accepted by the IRS on APR2024, but has not been processed. It is the end of August 2024 (four months later) and no refund/return yet!
Very, very disappointed with this tax center. If you had Ms. Angeline prepare your taxes, you may want to verify your return.
Better safe than sorry.

Very dissatisfied with the service for two years my taxes have been incorrect. When asked for amendments always "not enough time" or "You have to next year"

Have used this location twice. The first time the lady was very helpful and seemed more familiar with the filing guidelines of my state. The 2nd time I went the lady didn't seem to really know anything about the state I've been claiming for the last 5 years during active duty. She kept trying to informing me of things she knew nothing about and tried telling me I have been filing illegally the last couple years; turns out she was wrong. It made me question everything she did on my taxes after that. Moral of the story make sure you ask appropriate questions; the tax specialist don't always know the guidelines for all the states. If something doesn't feel right make them research it or better yet do it yourself.
