I felt rushed and judged. There were only 2 ladys i felt were very unpleasant and unprofessional. I want to say when I usually come to this location theres a young girl who is usually there alone when i go, shes nice and helpful and doesnt interrupt your personal space and time, love her. But today was odd as there was 2 workers in the isle and a back room full of ppl not sure if all was sallys workers or not. But anyways im in the nail supply section while worker 1 is stocking. My boyfriend ask me if im going to pick something up I said no ill order that specifically on amazon ( bc its the same seller and cheaper for a bigger size DUH. ) and worker one stops stocking for about like 10 seconds to look up at me as if what i said is offensive to her or there’s something wrong with saying id rather get product elsewhere. This worker had not helped me at all not welcomed me had not asked if i needed help looking for anything she just stayed in her little area and didnt move out the way either. She was honestly blocking other products i wanted to look at but guess she didnt care because she seen me waiting and looking at product from behind her. And then worker 2 comes out asking if i need help i said yes n after she picked the product for me she then asks ‘ are u guys ready to check out yet ‘ i said no not yet i wna still look around. ‘ and then not even 2 minutes later worker to comes to me again ( not even a minute later so im still in the same section looking ) and asks ‘ are u guys ready to check out yet ‘ like… do u have something else u need to do where u need to rush customers out ??? I was already annoyed at this point n just said yes.. she proceeds to check us out n i ask for one more product i get the product after i was rung up but worker 2 immediately heads str8 to the back room when she finished ringing me up the first time.. it took me less than a minute to get my last prict and head abck to the front… no one at the front reg another radom worker says shell help me in a bit which is ok because she was actually doing something so i didnt mind waiting for HER, and a minute passes by and worker 1 who was stocking finally comes up and asks jf someone is helping me.. i said no so she rings me up… my thing with worker 2 is why rush me if u had better things to do and how r u going to rush me to pay n then when i want to pay for a second time no one is there ???. And if u didnt have time to stay at the front and wait for people to get rung up because there was about 6-8 customers in the store then ask another worker to stay up front. Especially worker one who was stocking she can stock closer to the register instead of in the back. But the older ladys need to work on respecting others minding their own business, not rushing customers and giving the customers time to look thoroughly to save everyone time in the future from coming back and returning things. Went in at abt 11:30 am.

The employee is incredibly unknowledgeable about hair and items in the store. They are really arrogant and racist.

To the very kind woman who helped me find the perfect bleach and toner for my hair, bless your soul, i love you so much, i did end up doing a very bright pink and it turned out beautifully thanks to your suggestion. Don't forget to ask the people who work here for help if you don't know what to look for!!! They know what they're talking about

The woman there was very helpful and knew her stuff. Recommended bleaching products and hair dye for my son who wanted to change his hair color from brown to blue.

Relative went into buy products. She was ignored. No one asked if she needed help. (She did but none was offered). Another customer walked in and was greeted. Relative then chose product and waited by register. Said that she was ignored again. Salesperson then started to help someone who was in line after the relative. Relative returned product to shelf after the other customer said that she was in line before her... Not shopping here anymore. Seems like it is not a place to shop at if one does not look "local". Relative was able to find what she needed at Walmart.

This place is an excellent go-to if you're looking for salon quality products to do your hair/skin/nails at home. However, I give this place a 3 star rating today because of the service I received today. After seeing another employee stock up the shelves and our products away, I would assume that the employees know their products. But that wasn't the case I received from one of the employees who helped me out today. There's this short dude who wears glasses that seemed nice at first but when I went further on in asking questions, he came off rude. I came in here today looking for a highlighting cap, and a specific highlighting tool. So when I asked this guy for assistance, he seemed irritated. I found the highlighting cap I was looking for but I also wanted the highlighting tool with the grip but he kept insisting that there was already one in there so I asked again if there was a tool something better. He shows me where in the store they have a "better" tool but he only points me to the same kind that comes in the kit. So after he leaves I look around in the same area and right next to where he was looking at was the highlighting tool with grip. So my negative review is this: as an employee know your products. Especially if you're trying to sell someone or help other people who come in there with questions.

They didn't have all of the hair oil I was looking for, but they did have a variety of products, more than I can say for Target or Walmart or similar stores for my hair type (4C). And the employees were really knowledgeable about what products were best from certain brands, which helped me decide which product to go for. I will be returning for future purchases ?

666th review, was saving it for a business that Could've been better, according to Yelp's 2-star rating. I usually try to rate business lower after a several repeat visits to give them a chance, unless it's REALLY bad and deserves a one-star right off the bat, but those are rare. I also have 1-star reviews saved into my memory but will never write them here on Yelp because I still need their services, unfortunately. If you're a long time strategic-Yelper, you know what I mean. I got a mean compliment from a Yelp user today (2/8/23) on business I rated (Giovanni Pastrami) saying I had no idea what I was talking about. Yes, I do know what I am talking about and the fact that I don't freely give out 1-stars is a testament to that, so you know this makes this 2 star rating pretty much deserved. Back to Sally Beauty Supply at Pearl City location: I've been coming here quite a bit and each time I come here the service is hit or miss, mostly miss. Everything I need or want is rarely in stock but like a fool I keep coming back: have you ever heard this saying? "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting the same results" That's me! I keep coming here but they are 98% out of what I need. I still keep coming back because I think I'm going to be lucky and find what I need, like the correct shade of hair dye, for example. What put the nail in the 2-star coffin was the sales guy last week. Very abrupt and unhelpful; 2-thumbs down, dude. Leave the bad attitude at home, you're at work now. I go to work with a toothache, a headache, and 3 total hours of broken sleep due to said tooth - do I go out and snap at my co-workers and patients? Heck no! It's not their fault I'm feeling grouchy. Maybe the guy can take a lesson from me. Please read my 667th review of Hawaii Endodontics if you want to save your sanity (and maybe even your job).RETURN FACTOR: I've learned a lesson to never come back here anymore. Drive to Kapolei where the sales people are nicer and mostly everything's in stock.

FIRST OF ALL, I love Sally Beauty, I love the convenience of getting Professional Level Products at Great prices. I am like a kid in a candy store everytime I walk in.HOWEVER, the staff could use some Customer Service and Satisfaction training... like a Week or two of Training. Oh and throw in some product knowledge training and BaM!!! They would be Stellar.Instead of asking RIGHT OFF THE BAT when a customer walks in,"Did you need help today?" We ALL need help honey, but I doubt if you'd be able to help me with Most of it. Instead, how about a Greeting, " Hi or Aloha welcome to Sally Beauty, I'm (insert name) Is there anything in particular that I could help you find today?"Or at the register instead of a FLAT OUT "What's your phone number?" Try EXPLAINING to the Customer WHY you are asking or better yet try with,"If you are apart of our Sally points program, I can update your account for this purchase with the phone number you have attached to it."SO MUCH MORE NICER WAY to say things, Greet customers etc. This staff just doesn't have that, it would go a much longer way. But them again, I'm HUGE on Customer Service, the tone and talk moreso.

I called to their number then I talked to the staff to ask if they have a mannequin head and how long is the hair. The staff didn’t know how long and if its layered or non layered hair so I still need to come to their store to check it in person. So hassle for me.

Young lady that new worker there such a good work ethic! forgot the name of her(pretty local girl that long darker hair) She even carry out my lot's of items that I bought that couple days ago, if emergency color that I need then I shop there some times, usually I go cosmoprof but in a rush that to work stop by there, happy shopping there see new good worker there, before was feel unwelcome from them, but now looks like all new faces, my items was little heavy that day thank you for your kind and caring gesture!
