Brought the dog I was fostering in for a cut. He got the okay from the vets and has been on meds for over a week. I told Kaci not to touch his ears, they've already been cut. She then went on to let me know that they don't take dogs that have any redness or infections. I wouldn't have wasted my time if this was something that was written during the process of booking. I told Kaci not to touch his head, vet said it was okay. And I understand it's policy, but POLICY SHOULD BE STATED DURING BOOKING NOT WHEN THE CUSTOMER IS THERE

I'm not rating the whole Petco - just the grooming section. And this is based off of 2 visits, for 2 separate dogs, in 1 weekend. Saturday, brought my dog in for his 11:30am appt. Had to walk around the store for a little bit, as the groomer didn't arrive to work yet. Paperwork went smoothly, transition from me to groomer went smoothly - all was good. I was told the appt would take 1 hr. Great! 12:30pm comes along - no phone call. But that's fine, because I know sometimes appt run longer. 1pm comes along - no phone call. 1:30pm comes along - no phone call, so I decided to call and inquire if my dog was done with his grooming appt. Person who answered said my dog was done. When I went in to pick up my dog, the groomer said that she tried to call but that it went straight to voicemail. Claimed she left a message...riiiight. It's the next day later...and I don't see a voice message from PC petco?! Hmm... interesting. Today (Sunday), brought my other dog for her 1:30pm appointment. First red flag - the groomer gave me SOMEONE's ELSE's document to sign (Suzanne? Shelby? With a dog named Destiny. They gave me your paperwork :/). I only realized it was the wrong paper when I wrote a different number for them to contact me (since yesterday, the groomer claimed they called me but it went straight to vm). Transition from me to groomer went smoothly. This time, she didn't tell me how long it would take. I assumed it'd take just as long as yesterday, so I anticipated 2hrs - but because I gave a different number, this time I thought I'd get a phone call. 2:30pm came along - no phone call. 3:30pm came along - no phone call. Went in around 3:45pm. Saw the groomer servicing another dog (cute brindle frenchie), so she sent out another groomer to "relay the message" to me, which was "come back at 4:15pm." So I requested that she call me when my dog was ready and left to go wait in my car. 4:20pm came along - no phone call. I went inside to see what was going on and what did I see? The groomer servicing my dog - looking like she's rushing, at that. 4:26pm, I got a call, "your dog is done *click*." I went to retrieve my dog and was taken aback by what I saw. Where the hell is the hair on my dog's ears?! What happened to her face?! She doesn't look like the cute puppy dog that I gave at 1:30. I was so stunned, I forgot I was supposed to put her harness on, i was too busy looking at her. Once I snapped out of my shock, I didn't how to respond, so I uncomfortably asked, "why did it take 3hrs?" The groomer said, "I had 7 dogs. Sunday is our busiest day. If you need your dog done faster, you should schedule your dog on a week day." To which I replied with, "okay, thank you." Then Kaci unleashed her blue leash and walked away. I can definitely say I will not return to this Petco grooming in PC. It was just a month where our main groomer at another location was totally busy so I had to schedule at the PC location. Kaci had serviced one of my dogs in March, and I wrote (in my personal notes about groomers) that she was friendly and did my dog's nails well. That's why I chose her service both my dogs this weekend. Disappointing, Kaci did not live up to my positive notes this time around. She didn't do my dog's nails well yesterday, as they were barely buffed. And today, she wasn't professional in keeping communication with me in a span of 3 hrs - but more than that, she completely changed the look of my dog's puppy face. Most importantly, the intake desk really needs to get their sh*t together, because their paperwork is literally in a messy pile on the table. If I wanted to take a paper (with someone's contact info on it), I totally could. Heck, I was given someone else's paper today by the groomer!! I'm so glad I was able to schedule with our regular groomer at another location for next month. Never again, PC Petco. Never again.

On 7/25/22 I went to buy a fish for my daughter. At the time, I was unaware the aquatic department closed earlier than the rest of the store. I asked one of the workers there, a friendly woman with short hair, for assistance and she said she’d call for an associate to assist me in the aquatic department. I walked to the department and waited there patiently, and shortly after a skinny kid with black hair comes around the corner and screams at me that the department is closed. Now, I still had other things to buy at this point, besides the fish. But after he raised his voice at me for no reason, I straight left the store. I have a feeling their employees receive no training whatsoever. And he wreaked of alcohol. Unless that was a smell coming off of one of their products sitting on the shelves besides us. I live in Pearl City, and now I dread going into Petco.

This review is specifically for the employee named Kawika. He assisted us in purchasing a Guinea Pig for the first time. I cannot say enough about how professional and helpful he was throughout the whole process. He took the time to explain EVERYTHING to us to make sure we knew what we were getting into, which really shows how much he cares for the animals they sell. It was a perfect experience from beginning to end, and we cannot thank Kawika enough for our new family member!

The people there are really nice but grooming NEVER picks up the phone!!! I call and call and nothing! It makes me so nervous because I want an update on my pet but they don’t pick up. Even if they’re busy pick up and say “hi I’m with a customer can you please hold” or something!!

This store has a problem with bugs in their foods/treats. Multiple times now I’ve either bought or looked at an item in store only to have it be crawling with little beetles inside.

Store has everything you need but pricing can be weird. Our dog food is one price online and then another in store. I wish it was a little more transparent.

Petco is located near my house and they carry the limited ingredient brand of food I get for my cat due to her allergies although they do not offer the most competitive prices. Although I do not use grooming services at Petco, the grooming station is located at the entrance so it is inevitable that customers pass it on their way in and out of the store. The groomers who work at the station frequently stare and/or give dirty looks when we (my sister has noticed this too) pass on different occasions, which is unnecessary, rude, and definitely a deterrent to customers. If I could avoid walking past them to enter the store I would, but it is unavoidable. On one occasion we had an online order for pick-up when COVID restrictions were first put in place. We were told to pick up our items at the front of the store, but we didn't see any employees other than the ones at the grooming station there so we went to the register and they irritably directed us back to the front of the store and we still didn't notice anyone but the groomers at the front so we asked them about picking up online orders. Even before we approached them we noticed them staring at us irritably and the same attitude was maintained throughout our brief interaction with them. They then pointed at an employee walking near the front of the store and directed us to ask him. I am glad I am not in need of grooming for our cat and if I am I would not come to this location.

Just your typical petco that you find everywhere else really. The employees have all came across super friendly which is nice. Been in here all to often since we got a brand new puppy a few months ago. We buy her p*** bags, treats, toys, and dog food here. Also been recently getting her groomed here as well. The groomers do a fabulous job and really take the time they need to make your dogs look and feel good. Thanks Petco!

Okay today I stop by petco pearl city to some shopping for my new puppy but when I saw colorful fishs I wanted it and it was good deals, it said buy 3 get one free, wow it seems great deal but when I paid time it seems way expensive than I thought so I ask cashier what is price for each fish she said female is $3.98, male is $5.98, wow I said I only see one sign I never saw the sign for male for almost double the price so can I have 3 female and 1 male then, the cashier was nice enough and call maneger, the manager looked irritated face and blah blah sign is right there when you buy you gotta read you said no more sign... Sign is there blah blah... What is going on this store... Etc so I said is that any problem for buy 3 female and 1male fish? He is MANAGER THERE, MANAGER IS WHO SUPPOSE TO BE SUPPORT AND HELP CUSTOMER,... Etc so I wait for maneger to change my fish to cheaper female fishs, but he takes long time so I walked to fish tank, OMG so stupid that maneger he kept trying smash little fishs with net struggled catch fish from tiny plastic containers with big size net, oh my God so I said excuse me WHY DIDN'T YOU PUT THE ALL THE FISH BACK IN TO THE BIG TANK SO EASILY CATCHES THE FISH WITH OUT HURT THEM, HE SAID HOLD ON HOLD ON, what a S S/D A/fffffD continues doing for about 15min more, finally he gives up so I said please can I have Young lady that helps me earlier to help me out? He said no I'm charging this store this store is mine so can't WTF FFFF×1000!!!!! 1.GO BACK TO SCHOOL LEARN COMMON SENSE! 2.RETRANING MANAGER COURSE. 3 REENTER CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM 4,CONTROL FACE EXPRESSION 5,YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB JUST CHANGE JOB Today my shopping experience at petco was SUCKS!!!!!!!! During my visit, I found the store to have ample parking, the common area outside as well as the front entrance were well-kept. The store's interior was brightly lit and appeared very clean. While I didn't notice any employees on the floor, all of the checkout registers were manned and the staff members were courteous to the customers they engaged. I deducted one star because I found their prices to be higher than PetSmart's and not as well-stocked at least in the dog food and chew bones section.

I have been bringing my Yorkie to this Petco for grooming for 3 years, and Jolyn Rose has been our groomer every time and has always done a fantastic job!! I ask for a shorter cut (around a 7) and for the ears to be really short as my dog is prone to ear infections, and the groomers are always able to deliver on my special requests. Jolyn Rose- thank you for always taking such great care of Chloe, I am sad to be moving away from you and hope to find a groomer as amazing as you!

I wish I read the reviews sooner! DO NOT, I REPEAT..DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO THE GROOMERS AT PETCO PEARL CITY. RUN! DON'T EVEN THINK TWICE, this place sucks!!!! Megan made my dog look like a crack head homeless mutt. I would post a picture but im too embarrassed, even my dog is depressed. Never again, take your money to a local groomers that actually give a s****

Best groomer in my opinion is Nancy! She pays attention to the littlest of details, is very professional, personable and our dog King loves her!Getting “report cards” of his grooming is such a cute idea, always looking forward to it.

Absolutely ridiculous. I took my Pom in for his grooming appointment and ended up waiting 20+ mins just to check him in. We booked him for a bath, deshedding, nail trim and a haircut. They told us it was gonna be max of 4 hours. Understandable. But Samantha called us after 3 hours saying she couldn't really do anything because he was being to jumpy. I was extremely upset because he's gotten haircuts before and never had a problem. The only thing she did was a bath, nails and a choppy cut underneath. There is no reason to wait 3 hours to tell us she couldn't really do anything. A bath and sloppy work doesn't take 3 hours. They did give us a refund! And I'm thankful for that but I don't recommend for grooming! We ended up calling petco in Kaneohe to get his haircut the next day and Cheryl did amazing with him!
