“What a pleasant experience at PCAW (Pearl City Auto Works). I had 2 electrical problems with my vehicle which required a partial disassembly of the dash. PCAW correctly identified the cause of the electrical problem and corrected the problem and reassembled the dash to its original condition using great care as my vehicle was a 2000 Ranger and the clips etc. required extra care to prevent breaking. A special thank you goes to Shay for her assistance in scheduling my appointments and keeping me informed as to the arrival of parts needed and the status of the repairs to my truck. I will definitely be a return customer.”

“The crew at the Oil Changers in Aeia Honolulu were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. I came back for a quick request about turning off a dashboard icon that was alerting me that I needed to change my oil (which I had completed the day before). One of the crew took care of it immediately with a smile and the entire task was taken care of in less than a minute and zero out-of-pocket $. Good price, great crew & management, and probably the cleanest service garage I've ever seen. I will absolutely refer this particular location.”

“Donnell at Burt's Union Services was a real gentleman! I had called asking if they could get me in for a car battery replacement that morning and he was quick to recognize my voice as soon as I arrived. Before we started he was able to check my battery to see if it even needed replacement & thankfully I didn't! He seemed just happy to help despite losing out on a business transaction in that moment. As a female customer at an auto shop, I was so grateful for honesty! He got a tip from me & any future auto business I may need!”

If you’re Coast Guard working on Sand Island, this is the place to go. It’s right outside base. Mr. Tagami is fast and efficient; just come before his lunch break at 10:30am or after at 12pm.
He seems stoic, but he’s kind and humorous. I will be back next year!”
“Barely any wait time. Very pleasant, professional, satisfactory service. The price was a little high, I thought. Yet, that's what everybody charges for a full synthetic oil, so it must be the norm. I had a military discount, let alone I a coupon that I didn't use. So, I'm set and very satisfied. No complaints. The workers are very professional, polite, and pleasant, and that's what counts.”
“Very happy to have found GEARS. I have a manual Jeep Wrangler, and was having issues with the clutch. John is very detailed oriented, very knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. These are qualities hard to find. John was able to quickly reschedule when I wasn't able to make the first appointment. John took the time to understand the issue even before doing the actual diagnostics. Explained everything in detail and was very clear on possible issues and costs. John quickly found the issue and luckily the fix wasn't the most expensive. Will definitely bring my Jeep to GEARS again.”

“The splash guard of my Civic got ripped off by some road work driving home from Costco last week, dragging along under the car in an unsafe manner. I happened to be across the street from Chung’s and despite being after hours on a Saturday, they lifted my car and removed the damaged splash guard. They don’t even charge me for the service. Can’t thank them enough!”
