My kids have been attending Music Works for two years and this has been the best decision we have made for them in regards to their extracurricular activities. My daughter takes piano with Miss Kira, and my son takes drums with Mr. Payton, and both teachers have made learning music fun and easy. The staff is always accommodating and will treat you like family.

My daughter started at Hawai’i Music Works when she was 4. She was nervous at first but her Teacher Miss Kira warmed her up and made her feel comfortable immediately! The staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable! If you are on the fence, take the plunge! You won’t regret it.

I'm 48 and haven't played guitar since I was 12 or 13. My instructor, Payton, is a pleasure to work with. The lessons and the homework are not stuffy or boring. I feel they are current and relevant to both young and old. I highly recommend and believe the price is fair.

Marc and Dale are an absolute godsend. We are so grateful to have found them. Sweetest people you will ever meet and so good with the kids. My daughter has been taking piano lessons for about 6 years now and loves it. Highly recommend if you have a little one that you want to get started with music (they office different instruments and vocal classes as well).

Extremely friendly and patient teacher = Miss Kira. My son loves piano lesson days and enjoys the encouraging environment. He is 7 and can read music on paper and on his piano keys and not just by letters but on a music staff. He's only been taking lessons for less than 6 months and is still motivated to learn more. The entire staff here is very helpful and welcoming. I'm very happy with his progress and I love watching him grow with each lesson. Parking is anple and they were able to accommodate lesson times that meet our family's schedule. Lesson prices are reasonable as well.

Excellent music school for all ages. Teachers are talented and knowledgeable, continuing to perform professionally, inspiring their students. My grandson has been taking keyboarding lessons at Hawaii Musicworks from Mr. Mark for several years. He enjoys the weekly lessons, because he has fun and is learning to play the keyboard with personal understanding. In addition to selected music for lessons, current music and familiar ones accentuated my grandson’s interest even more. With having the lessons online, my grandson is still enjoying the lessons, just as he was in person, since there is always something new to learn. He now sometimes gets to nominate songs for new lessons, so it is personalized. Thank you, Mr. Mark, for your exemplary guidance. The ambiance of Hawaii Musicworks is family oriented and inclusive. Mark, Dale, Kira, Ezri and Payton are so congenial and accepting.

We had two children enrolled at Hawaii Music Works for almost 2 years! One was in drums with Payton and the other in guitar with Kira. Both instructors are amazing and really helped my kids excel with their music learning. Kira would often take time out to provide more guidance and instruction- even outside of classroom time. Even through COVID - lessons continued to be offered on line !!! Dale is also amazing and very quick to respond and answer all your questions !! Would highly recommend !

We love this school! Our daughter has been taking drum lessons with Mr. Payton for several years and has been in excellent hands. He is always looking for ways to push her to the next level. The fees are very reasonable, and we feel we're getting a ton of value.Furthermore, they are the nicest people! Always warm and welcoming. And they've always been responsive to the inevitable seasonal issues that arise with kids' schedules. As I am writing this review during the pandemic, I feel a word is warranted on how they have addressed health and safety. They have taken every reasonable precaution to keep their students safe, to the point of transitioning to distance learning via webcam. It's a challenge, and I know they would very much prefer to teach in-person, but we really appreciate their efforts to keep us safe while keeping music instruction alive during this challenging time.Prior to the pandemic, they were actively creating opportunities for growth with performances and concerts, and those have been invaluable and memorable for our daughter. We can't wait for those opportunities to resume one day. Until then, we're just very grateful to have MusicWorks in our lives and look forward to many more years with them!

My kids have been taking keyboard and guitar lessons from Musicworks for almost a year and they love it. When my husband and I started looking for lessons, the most important thing to us was finding a place that was nurturing and motivating at the same time. Musicworks is that place. There's a real family atmosphere there. Mr. Mark and Ms. Kira are fun and engaging, approachable and responsive. My kids are always connected through their digital portal and it makes them feel like their teachers are there to help them succeed, which is great! These are not piano lessons like when I was a kid because they use songs from the radio and movies in addition to the classics. To me, whatever makes my kids love music is the right kind of music, and I couldn't be more proud of seeing how much they have progressed since they started.

My son used to take private drum lessons from another teacher but he didn't seem to be learning anything. After coming to MusicWorks for 3 months there's a really big change. Mr. Payton is very knowledgeable but also relatable to kids and now my son looks forward to every lesson. I appreciate that Mr. Payton gives us feedback on how my son is doing every week and I can also monitor assignments online, but more than anything, I can hear the difference in my son's playing. The atmosphere at the school is very family friendly and welcoming. It also gets busy but I think that just shows how good it is.
