I'm a veteran with tinnitus and some hearing loss. I had a very hard time hearing during family gatherings and going out to dinner with friends. I was also having problems with hearing my wife and she would say that I am constantly talking too loud. I've been accused of having the television or my music playing too loud. I was referred to the Family Hearing Aid Center by the VA. When I arrived I found the staff very helpful and kind. The waiting area is clean with lots of seating room. Madison was my audiologist and administered my hearing test. She is so kind and pleasant and made it a first class experience. Seriously . . . Madison is excellent at her job. 4 weeks after the VA approved my hearing aids, I was scheduled to get the new hearing aids. Madison got me fitted and programmed with an awesome set of hearing aids. Took less than 30 minutes. Now I can hear things as clearly as in my teens. Life changer for sure! I highly recommend the Family Hearing Aid Center. From the time you walk in the door until the time you leave, you're gonna be well taken care of. I am very pleased with the quality of my hearing aids and the quality of service I received. If you need hearing aids, look no further. Just book the appointment and you'll never look back! My 89-year-old Dad has dementia. We picked up his $7,500 hearing aid at the end of May. It was a new type, a total ear insertion rather than the hang-over-the-ear style that he was accustomed to. By July, Dad's dementia had gotten to the point that he could not put the new hearing aid in on his own, he said: "It keeps falling out."I called Ryan to discuss options for Dad, including giving him my hearing aid the same style as his older one that he had used for years in the interim until a more permanent solution was found. My audiologist told me that my hearing aid could be reprogrammed for my Dad. When I asked Ryan about this option he said to me that it was "unethical." He was extremely rude and had no empathy for my Dad's situation. He gave me absolutely no alternative options.He later called me to tell me that he would "as a courtesy" program my hearing aid once but he would not service it after that date. They collected $7500 for my Dad's hearing aid which came with a service agreement for 3 years. I don't know what the commission structure is for the hearing aid or for that matter what the exchange policy is in this situation. I asked for the manufacturer's information so that I could inquire on my own and was told that they would follow up. I have gotten a voicemail from the office and an email from Ryan saying that he would respond but he was boarding a flight and would follow up later, that was 3 days ago and in the meantime, my dad can't hear anything anybody says.I am appalled by the lack of empathy in this office. Would anyone be okay with an expensive hearing aid that their loved one could not use and having to deal with an office with absolutely no compassion?

I moved to Hawaii and my hearing aid stopped working took them to family hearing center and they had them working within a week and a half and that’s sending them out to people. There are awesome they’re very nice they took care of all my needs couldn’t ask for a better service.

Paul is awesome! He took the time to thoroughly explain each test and the results to me and my dad. He is very patient and caring with my elder father who does not always understand directions. Thank you for taking great care of my parents' hearing needs over the years.

I left my hearing aid for a month because I was going to be away off island for work. Upon returning I was told I needed an appointment to see the specialist and to pick it up. I made the appointment for Monday of the following week as I was without it for a month so what would a few more days matter. When I showed up for my appointment the hearing aid was completely dead as it had not been charged. Why make an appointment if the Center is not going to even charge it and have it ready for me.

The mindful sounds of the ocean, the crisp sounds of leaves falling from the trees, the laughter in the far away distance. I take my 98 yo dad to the Family Hearing Center. He has a hearing aid for both ears, and I have been taking my dad here for years. The center’s staff are fantastic, very kind, knowledgeable, and obliging. Dealing with my dad with hearing aids that don’t work , is no bueno! And having these great folks help us out last minute? They are my heroes! You won’t regret trusting them with with your hearing!
