Don't waste your time or money on this place The inside is dirty and the male employee is very dishonest. He is the only male there. He quoted me a price and when I got there he higher-ups the price. Don't waste your money and time.

This Place is the best alteration place I have ever gone too. At first I wasn't sure about going because when I have gone to other place they usually couldn't fix my pants or they would just be very rude. But these lady's who work here are very nice and they give options on how they can do it with explaining in detail about how they will do it. I took my pants in because It had a small tear in the back side. So she told me that she could fix it by sewing the back and can have it done in a week. The price is reasonable and finish the job on time.

Went to get my prom dress altered and it came out amazing. I had a problem with the length of the dress but still wanted a train. They did an amazing job giving me the length I needed while still having a train.

Alltime FAVORITE Alteration go to! She is a VERY SWEET lady and her prices are fitting to the job. She has done many different alterations for me both big and small. There's also been times when I needed something ASAP and she was able to do it for me as well. If there is ANYTHING you need to be altered I FULLY trust her work!

Let me start by saying that I found a wedding dress that was exactly the style that I was looking for and on sale for only $100! The only problem was that the only dress the store had available (huge corporate company that is nationally known) was three sizes too big for me. No other stores had it and neither did the warehouse. When I spoke to that same company's alterations department, they told me that alterations would cost around $500 and that was only if they were able to bring it in that much. It was a fairly simple dress but they explained how they would have to move the straps, add cups, yada yada. Basically, they told me that if I got any smaller, I would have to get a new dress. Seriously? It was 5 months before my wedding and I had definitely planned on losing weight. So I went for a second opinion. That's when I found Helen at DHP alterations. I scheduled a consultation with her and when I tried on my dress she asked me what the other company told me. I explained about the straps, adding cups, and all the other yada yadas. I kind of felt like me repeating what they would have done was giving her instructions on how she would do it. Then when I mentioned what they said about bringing it in so much, she completely agreed. I swear I have never (in my life!) been so torn as to whether or not I should lose weight! But what made it worse was when I told her that I would rather not get another dress because not only was it at a good price, but it was exactly the style that i was looking for. Simple, yet elegant. She proceeds to tell/ask me, "Well, are you THAT in love with this dress?? I mean, you could definitely find something nicer than this online from one of those chinese websites. You just have to order big because they run small. I can let out easier than I can bring in." Wow. Because we're the same ethnicity, and my family has been that way my whole life, I let it go no matter how much it sucked. She told me the entire thing would cost $180 but, again, said that if I lose any more weight then she couldn't do it. So we scheduled an appointment closer to my date to "see if that was the dress I would be wearing on my wedding day or not." I felt so defeated. It was Helen's idea to schedule the appointment for two days after she came back from her vacation. I kept saying that we can wait a bit so that she can rest but she insisted. That's fine so I made sure to take off from work to attend the appointment. Come the day of the appointment, she had a sign on the door saying that she was on vacation and would return on a certain date. That date was the day prior to me standing there and reading it. I waited there for 30 minutes and she didn't show up. The phone number was a shop number so there was no point but I left 2 messages anyway. Once when I got there (because she keeps the door locked) and another 15 minutes after we were scheduled to meet. I looked up other alterations places nearby and found someone who could take me right away since I had everything with me. I learned to not say anything about the dress to this one and to see what she would say. I tried it on and she started listing off things that needed to be done and it was spot on with what I was told by the corporate professionals. I asked her about bringing it in and she said that it would take a little more effort but definitely doable. I explained what I was told twice previously and she said, "Why would you need to buy another dress? You have this one on you already and it's what you love so I don't understand why they couldn't make it work." WHAT A RELIEF. Granted she cost almost twice as much as DHP but I feel like she is totally worth it. Her company's review will come later, when I get my dress back. :) As far as Helen, it's been two weeks since she never showed to her appointment and I haven't received a call back explaining or apologizing. I do h

Took my maid of honor dress to get taken in and to put in a secret pocket. Tried my dress on for Helen and she even suggested making an adjustment to the bodice area that made such a huge difference. Helen is friendly, knowledgeable and the prices are pretty good. I referred the mother of the bride who was also delighted with DHP's workmanship. Will be back with other important pieces.

I'm SOO glad I found here on Yelp! It was very hard to find this location but once you see aunty Helen (the owner, I believe) you forget about how hard it was to find this location! If your on Kam highway, take a left on Lehua Avenue (if your coming from Town or Pearlridge, then take the first right and just go all the way down then you'll see the entrance on the right! Aunty Helen makes you feel soooo comfortable and welcome. I felt so comfortable and she help me alter my bridesmaid dress. She asks you if this is ok. Pins it right away! She helped me zip up my dress! I felt like I knew her for a long time. To alter a dress it's $50. She only takes cash or check. She will have it ready in about a week or 2 on how busy she is of course. For my dress she needed few more days so she texted me, which was nice! I'll definitely come back!!! My #1 alter shop now!

Best Alterations tailor found!!! My search is over! She understood exactly what I want it done and not only that, very reasonable cost. Recently I lost 20+ lbs and all my clothes were too baggy. Every piece were amazingly done and in a reasonable time frame. I highly reccommend DHP Alterations.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! The hours on the door are clearly posted, but this business is not open when they are suppose to be! I went to their location and the sign on the door said closed! I called twice and when the lady picked up she said they were not open because the owner was not there! I asked when they would be open and she said she didn't know when they would be open! I don't understand how places like this stay in business when they are for their self and not for the customer! For people who may of needed their item today I wonder how they would have been able to get their item where the business was closed even though it was suppose to be open! Word to the wise take your business somewhere else because this place is unprofessional and not dependable!

Got 3 pants tapered just the way I asked. Helen is awesome, she will tell you how she'll alter it in order to make it the way you want it and ask if that's ok. When I walked in, I got fitted right away and pinned. I had 2 joggers that I wanted to taper which came out to $12 each. 1 denim that came out to $10. I'm assuming the cuffs on the bottom of the joggers had more work to be done hence the extra $2 for each. Overall I'm more happy the way it turned out and will be going to dhp to do all of my clothes!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! It's easy to find, with extra help from the pictures others have posted. I needed a formal dress altered for my husband's military ball. We brought it in January 1st, and I told her I needed it before the 9th. She told us to come in on the 7th since they would be closed the next day. I came in, tried on the dress, and she then started pinning it. She made sure to ask how the dress felt pinned, she's very concerned with her customers and seems to want to provide the best service. When I picked it up, she mentioned that she cut more fabric off the dress than she meant to and was going to charge me only half the price. I already had my check written so I told her it's okay. Her mistake was not noticeable on the dress and I was ecstatic with the results! I'd definitely come back for more alterations. Not to mention that this shop belongs to my friend's mom! No cards, cash or check only.
