I have attended Cassie Chow's Pilates private sessions for more than 12 years. She knows so much about balanced muscle development, whole body movement, and relaxation techniques. Medical doctors have commented about my flexibility for my age, which is 80. I love going to her new studio next to the ocean. Cassie has become my best advocate for "staying young" as long as I can.

A charming classy home good store in the hippy town of Paia. Everything well put together, you can't help find something you couldn't live without. Jewelry, art, glassware, textiles and more fill this little store on Baldwin Ave across from the worlds best health food store, Mana Foods. The owners of Luna and Tide truly have an eye for design and color......... This store is a must stop by for anyone who loves interior design, art and beautiful objects. You might even find a new wallet or bar of scented soap on the shelf.

Beautiful store with lovely items, however, if you don't want children playing with the toys or stuffed animals then you should not cater to them by having them so accessible. I wanted to buy one of the octopuses but never had a chance to ask because the gentleman was shooing my kids away. In fact, he was touching them which I found very inappropriate. Truly disappointed....and not the Aloha spirit typically found in Maui.

This little shop is laden with wonderful items all selected by the thoughtful owner with the ocean and coastal living in mind. That being said, you could go home with a little mermaid bead, a stuffed plush octopus toy or a set of exquisite steak knives from France that would serve well on a mountain lodge's table as well. The owner is committed to supporting cooperatives from around the world that help economically challenged groups of people by selling their wares. Check out the scarves, baskets or recycled rice bag wares to name a few. The cards are whimsically unique, the dining pieces are beautiful, the books are inspiring and the clothing is minimal but perfect for the breezy lifestyle here on Maui or kicking it on the city streets around the globe. There are unique antique treasures for sale here and there too. Small furniture like end tables, rattan ottomans, lamp shades and decorative boxes come and go and there is always new and different pieces to enjoy. The jewelry is amazing if you like unusual quality pieces. There is a lot to choose from lovely shell pieces of the Islands to lustrous black Tahitian pearls or fine precious and semi-precious baubles. Boasting a nice selection of local artists' paintings and crafts, you could pick up a piece for your home to remember your visit by or finish appointing your Hawaiian home with lovely accents gathered by the shop owner/interior designer, Christine Thevenard. The sales staff anchored by Petra are wonderful and knowledgable. Last but not least, the show room is a work of art too, built out by the owner's husband, Tim. Check out the shelving and floor for another moment of inspiration. Simply put, Luna & Tide is the go to shop for creative ideas, home decor and gifts for every one on any occasion and is my favorite shop on Maui, if you couldn't tell!

Cassie Chow is a world-class Pilates instructor and my body is proof! Friends and family keep telling me I am getting younger looking and before my work with Cassie no one ever told me I have great legs which I now hear often. Both my ease of movement and my posture are also noticeably improved. She is an interested, engaging, helpful and caring instructor. Her studio is delightful and has all the latest and best equipment. One can not fail to benefit by working out with The Moving Company in Paia. Sure it's great we have the beaches and the ocean here in Hawaii to exercise, but if you really want to change the shape of your form Cassie Chow is your girl. Maui No ka oi !
