Great selection of beautiful hand sewn Afghan rugs at reasonable prices. Daniel was excellent (and very patient) helping us narrow down our choices then brought all three to our home so we could lay them under our furniture to see which was the best match. Unlike other rugs dealers there was zero pressure. We highly Recommend!

Poor treatment today after many visits to the store prior, so I'm afraid I must leave an honest review tonight, as the customer service experience is weighing on me. I live on Maui and naturally prefer to support local businesses over online vendors or large corporations whenever possible. This evening, I was specifically browsing quilts. For no reason I could discern, the shop clerk was tailing me very closely to the point where I could tell I wasn't trusted as a client (unnerving, but I kept shopping because I was really looking forward to making a purchase). She made specific comments about the price points, although the items were clearly marked. I prefer to shop in private and let my imagination wander, especially about the cool items that Indigo has in stock, but since she was circling so close, I could tell I wouldn't get any breathing room. So I casually asked about Kama'aina (I usually don't ask for it and never feel entitled to it, but if a shop runs a promotion, then of course they need to honor it.) She said yes, but THEN after all the policing, she immediately turned away without offering specifications. After that, I had to request *twice* for her to specify before she named a percentage. A discount wouldn't have made or broken the sale because I really did need a quilt and wanted to support a local shop, but I had a bad taste in my mouth after being treated rudely. I understand (and forgive) negligent, bland, or in-training customer service, but after such a harrowing experience, none of the quilts seemed so pretty anymore. I've never been treated this way in a shop before, so I guess I've just been lucky in the past. I might have come back another time to salvage the experience with a different clerk or the owner, but on my way out, she felt the need to say "when you ask for a discount, you really should lower your voice." I was quietly shopping and minding my own business in a vastly empty boutique... hardly demanding any special treatment or deal beyond basic inquiry! I'm sorry, but I'm in no hurry to go back to Indigo. Quilts of the same design, size, and quality are available at Wings Boutique or elsewhere in Paia at a similar or even higher price point, and I'd rather spend more money there for the same thing and be treated kindly (or even indifferently). Please offer additional customer service training to your employees- Indigo has such wonderful offerings, and I'm sad to be soured by tonight's experience.

Rude. 15 year old salesgirl stepped backward into us and gave us a look like it was our fault. Lost a big sale. Sorry.

This is one of the coolest shops in Maui. It's a cross between a Magazine St. (New Orleans) antique store and a rug shop in Tehran. Very cool proprietor who is a photographer of the Coffee Table Book class. Go here.

This is a unique shop in the little beach town of Paia where you can find all sorts of interesting things for your home. Beautiful hand woven rugs and textiles from various countries in Asia. Brass and wood, oils and soaps. Small trinkets and really large things like rugs and furniture. It's fun to shop here whether for yourself or for gifts. The owner is an incredible photographer and his prints and books are on display and for sale. Fair trade is emphasized. Definitely worth stopping in for a pleasant experience.

Have been in the store on vacation over the last several years. My wife has found some unique gold jewlry and an excellent comforter for the home. The proprietor and his wife have travelled extensively in India and the Far East and have some unique photographs of the area and citizens.I was particulrly taken with one small boy in scruffy military dress with a forlorn and distant expression. One could only wonder what life awaited him. These and many handmade items from India make for an interesting shopping experience
