We are locals and love Hi Tech. All locations are very good. The stop today was the Pā’ia spot. Very nice selection of inventory. The store sales guy was amazing, so nice talkative and helpful. They carry a lot of the major surf brands but are locally owned. Go visit and see for yourself ????

This is the best location out of all the Hi-tech stores. Parking is really difficult (hence not a 5 star review) but other than that, the workers make you feel welcomed and at home. This was the only location I felt comfortable in. I frequent the main location often and the mall location every now and then but the customer service is the best at the paia store. They are fully stocked and have stuff that some of the other two stores don't carry. I'd definitely come again and refer people to visit this location first.

I come here often , spend thousands of dollars here alone this year as I live up the streets and my girls like shopping here . Walked in the other day with my son who is 4 and autistic and he doesn't wear a mask most of the time because he can't , we've tried and he is doing better . The old man who is always there and had helped me before with his own mask down yells and my son "hey boy put your mask on " I told him that he is not wearing one because he is autistic , as I'm trying to grab my son to exit the store he goes in on ho my son should put a mask on because he is going to infect him ... mean while the old man had his mask down on his chin . On our way back up from lunch the only man was still wearing his mask on his chin . Never spending a dime here .

Great shop with a nice lineup of clothing, skateboards and gear, and an easy vibe. As far as I could tell as a tourist, they were local and had some of their own swag for sale.

We dropped in today just to see. Lots of surf/skate/ swim choices. New and used boards, sale racks Men and women. Fully stocked shop. They sell Reef slippers. I trust Hi Tech for gear !

Best background music of any retail shop in town. Its a chain ?with bigger stores in other towns BUT its the only place to get a skateboard in Paia without driving Upcountry. Not a HUGE selection, but if you are desperate you can find a tasty deck there....the register/gift card situation was a lil bogus and took 10 minutes minutes to buy a T-shirt so they lost a star.
